Faerie Forged is the third book in the Magicsmith series. I have read the other two books and loved them. I think this works as a stand alone but with all the characters involved, I think it would be more enjoyable if you read the first two books. Alex is a half fae half human hybrid. She works at her friends’ bookstore but is also a metal smith that often infuses a little magic into her work. Lately, non-humans have been under attack by the government and the Purity Party that discriminates against them. Alex has so far managed to keep her fae blood a secret but an overzealous FTB agent, O’Conner ,is always at her heels and is threatening her and her friends. To make matters worse she has been summoned to faery to meet the King who is her grandfather. He wants to teach her how to imbue objects using magic. While at court, she must be careful because there are treacherous fae who dislike half breeds and will do anything to get rid of her. Meanwhile on earth all hell is breaking loose with the Purity party trying to repress all magical beings. Alex and her friends are in grave danger. I really liked this third book and am looking forward to the next book in this series. All the characters are well developed and the writing is superb. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Alex is finally going to faerie to meet her grandfather and learn imbuing metal magic from him. The court is fraught with danger and a terrible price is paid from a mistaken conversation. On earth, the Purity cult is targeting paranormals and PTF agent O connel is hell bent on discovering Alex's secret. Missing para's, magic, werewolves, and a magic beyond her ken. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book from Netgalley.
