This book has two of the 26 books in the Lucy Stone series. Lucy lives in Tinker Cove. Maine, and whenever a murder occurs, she steps in to help solve the mystery. The local authorities don’t always welcome her help, but that doesn’t stop Lucy. These two books are about her trip to England, where she also uses her sleuthing skills. I’ve read all the books in the series, and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries. You can’t help but like Lucy and her family. Throughout the series, her children grow up and it’s fun to watch as they make their way out into the world. I always look forward to new books in this series. Don’t miss these books!
British Murder by Leslie Meier is a collection of two British-themed cozy murder mysteries that have been a part of the super-fabulous Lucy Stone mystery series.
It packages #17 English Tea Murder and #23 British Manor Murder together with a super cute new cover art scheme.
I have to admit I have been a HUGE fan of Lucy Stone and her family and gang of Tinker’s Cove, Maine since the beginning and have read every one of the installments. It is still as amazing as it was many years ago. I have already read both books, however it has been several years for both, so I took this time to read through them again. It is a compliment to say that I enjoyed both stories just as much the second time around as well.
I love Lucy Stone (and always will) and I also love anything concerning England and Scotland, so this was a win-win for me. A must for any fan.

This book takes two British themed stories and combines them into one book. I have been a fan of the Lucy Stone books from the beginning and it’s nice that these have been combined into one book. The thing I like the most about these books is that the storylines are different and creative, they don’t feel manufactured. I love the characters and the predicaments Lucy gets into and it’s just so relatable.
Lucy Stone reappears in two murder mysteries set in the British Isles. In the first, she investigates the death of her tour director who appears to have died of natural causes, but in reality was murdered. In the second, she joins a friend for a hat show at an English estate only to discover a body in a hidden room. Meier’s Lucy Stone books are like old friends, comforting and fun
Enjoyed the setting but found the characters underdeveloped and a bit tedious. Seemed a bit predictable.
