We get to return to Blue Hollow Falls in Donna Kauffman's story. One of my favorite series. I love how she brings back other characters which is something I truly enjoy in any book series - I want to know how everyone is doing! The other two stories are good as well. I have read Fern Michaels before and she did not disappoint. Melissa Storm is a new author to me and while I liked her writing, the story was a bit heavy but fit in the theme of finding home.

Wonderful authors that contributed very entertaining stories to this book. Each has entertaining characters that make the story. There might even be a few twists in the story but each one is a wonderful addition to this book. Hard to put this book down until you've read all three stories.

Three of my favorite authors in one place. If you haven't had time to pick up this book grab Home Sweet Home today. Each author shares a story of going home or finding home in their own unique way. If you follow these authors you will recognize Kauffman's Blue Hollow Falls. Michaels is a spy thriller romance and Storm takes us through the bitter sweet battle of family illness. Each novella is well written and a perfect match.

This book was full of wonder short stories with lots of emotion. This review is for Donna Kaufman’s story “New Beginnings”. This is another story of the Blue Hollow Falls series. In this sweet story we get to see Katie, Pippa’s sister, fall in love. Declan and her knew from the moment they met as kids they were something special. Back when Katie was little, Declan was brought home with her brother and he became part of the family. With him being around all the time Katie got to know him. Declan and Katie were best friends who were able to talk without saying a word. That friendship grew to love and when they hit their teenage years it became very awkward. For 10 years they avoided seeing each other, after he found out that she had feelings for him. But now fate has brought them back together. This was another great story by Donna Kaufman. I was given an advanced reader copy for an honest review.

Rating the three stories in this anthology, I’d have to give it four stars however rating them separately, I would give Blue Hollow Falls: New Beginnings by Donna Kauffman a full five stars, or more, if I could.

In Three’s A Crowd by Fern Michaels, Samantha Stewart has been out of the country reporting in a war zone. She returns to the States, with a baby she has told no one about, and that includes her parents. It’s hard to say much about the story without spoilers so I will say that we learn what happened in the time she was away and it touched my heart.

In New Beginnings in Blue Hollow Falls by Donna Kauffman, Katie MacMillan – Katherine Elizabeth to her mum – is staying with her pregnant sister (Pippa, whom we met in previous BHF stories; LOVE them!) and her husband Seth. Pippa is experiencing some difficulties with her pregnancy and Katie is playing gatekeeper for all the visitors who arrive. Declan MacGregor, someone from her past in Ireland, has also come to Blue Hollow Falls, ostensibly to take photos. However, when he arrives, he feels as if he has “come home”. What I can tell you about this story is that it is mostly told from the hearts and minds of Katie and Declan and just grabbed my heart and soul, as all the other stories in this series has. It’s a standalone so no worries however characters from other Donna Kauffman Blue Hollow Falls stories show up and I love knowing characters when I read. Love, love, love this story!

In Bring Me Home by Melissa Storm, Hazel sits with her dad during a health crisis and the two of them work through some memories that didn’t happen quite the way Hazel has been told. As her dad nears the end of his life, their close relationship only strengthens. And Hazel’s difficult journey is helped by people she would never think to rely upon.

I adored Donna Kauffman's story. I am a big fan of this series, and I was happy to read a new story about these characters. Katie and Declan get their second chance in this one. It is very heartwarming and romantic. Plus we get to see Pippa and Moira again. This is a great addition to the Blue Hollow Falls series, but it is still enjoyable even if you haven't read the previous books.

REVIEW FOR 'BLUE HOLLOW FALLS: NEW BEGINNINGS' ONLY:

I loved visiting Blue Hollow Falls again (even just for a novella)! I think I've missed a few stories in between the regular novels because some couples I was not aware of. Katie and Declan's romance was short but long in the making. So sweet! I do feel like I need a family tree chart for this series now!! :-)

No particular stand-outs in this group of three stories. This was a fairly good collection of stories by the three authors. Admittedly, I was not wowed by any of them. I generally enjoy Kauffman and Michaels novellas, but I just wasn't blown away by this collection.

Samantha lives in Miami Florida and is being promoted to a senior position. She is thirty years old and single. It's three years later and Samantha is chief senior international correspondent. She has been covering stories in Afghanistan and glad to be home. Samantha has a eight month old daughter Caroline.Carolines father is Italian. I was bored with the dialogue between ex roomate Maria. I liked Samantha but wasn't interested in the story. I didn't like keeping Caroline's father a mystery.

1 book with 3 different stories by different authors. Loved them all.

Story 1 is by Fern Michaels and about an overseas reporter who comes home with baby in tow. Her parents didn't even know she was pregnant.

Story 2 is by Donna Kaufmann and a second chance romance

story 3 is by Melissa Storm and about a woman taking care of her bedridden father and things she has found out about.

I received this from NetGalley for a review.

I always love to read Fern Michaels' books and stories. And this one didn't disappoint either! (I only am sad that it was short since it was with two other stories.) The benefit of a book like this is you get to read two other authors that might be new to you, like they are to me. Overall, I enjoyed all three and will look for their books in the future too!

Home Sweet Home is comprised of three stories authored by Fern Michaels, Donna Kauffman and Melissa Storm. They are stories which discuss a mother’s embrace, being back home, love, family and friendship. The descriptions of the stories are below. I have always enjoyed reading these authors and the stories end all too soon. Thank you to Net Galley for an advance reader copy for review.
THREE’S A CROWD * Fern Michaels
This Mother’s Day will be the first in three years that Samantha Stewart has spent with her parents. And she’s bringing a very special gift—the baby granddaughter they’ve never met. Sam’s work as an overseas reporter was exhilarating and dangerous. Now she’s seeking stability for little Caroline—and answers for herself—and finding them in a homecoming full of surprises . . .

NEW BEGINNINGS IN BLUE HOLLOW FALLS * Donna Kauffman
The moment she set foot in Blue Hollow Falls, Dubliner Katie MacMillan felt right at home. Back to help with her sister’s pregnancy, she’s contemplating her own future, especially when she confronts Declan MacGregor, her childhood tormentor and first crush. This Blue Ridge town was supposed to be a new beginning, but can it also be the setting for a second chance?

BRING ME HOME * Melissa Storm
For Hazel Long, spending time with her bedridden father is bittersweet. There’s comfort in the friendship offered by other hospital visitors—and the kindness of a handsome male nurse. And when Hazel’s father begins to tell her the story of the mother she barely knew, it’s an unexpected chance to bond, and a lesson in making the most of each new day.

Three of my favorite authors come together to write great short stories about love and family and what it means to be home. I really enjoyed reading each short tale and I believe fans and newbies alike will like them as well. I just wish each story was longer.

Three short stories by three great authors. The theme of love and sacrifice gives these stories special meanings, and make this collection an enjoyable one to read. Wonderful characters and great settings add to the stories. This collection is perfect for when you need some thing shorter, lighter, and heart-touching to read.
