This book surprised me in it's content. I like to go in blind, and that works when you select a book by just the title. I believed it was a self-help book... until I started reading. Not a SHB at all.
There were secrets and surprises and a reveal that made me laugh in the obviousness and awkwardness of things. I enjoyed this book.
Hilarious novel about marriage, kids and just life. Laugh out loud comedy that will have you giggling while reading. There will be plenty of moments that you can relate to. Such an accurate depiction of real life, in a humorous way.
This was a laugh-out-loud read that was totally relatable and kept me turning pages. Really enjoyable!
A very funny yet relatable story. A lighthearted read perfect in between some heavier reads. defo recommend
What happens if you receive an unexpected package and you start to ask questions about your relationship.
This book has mild adult descriptions about sex and the sex toys, but it works well with the book.
A fun read but a tad too long in my opinion.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.
After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.
I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
Absolutely hilarious!
The author is so in touch with every woman's reality that her every character and every scene strike a chord. I could recognise my life (on occasions) in this story and frequently found myself rolling on the floor with laughter.
Kristen Bailey knows how grab her reader right from the word "go" and she doesn't let go until the very end.
Such a well rounded read! I laughed, I cried, I commiserated. Excited to read more from this author. Have already recommended to friends!
Thank you for my gifted digital copy.
Has Anyone Seen My Sex Life is a frank and honest look at well, our sex lives. Well, not exactly Our sex lives. But, that of Meg and Danny Morton.
The story opens up with their first drunken meeting. With a title like Has Anyone Seen My Sex Life, you know that you will get detailed accounts of sexual encounters. Therefore, if this kind of stuff doesn't float your boat then I'd try something more sedate. However, it's not just page upon page of Meg and Danny getting down and dirty. There is a well thought out plotline there.
Meg, has had three kids and is naturally feeling a bit self conscious about her body. So, when she gets an unexpected package in the post, that's when her mind goes into overdrive and she worries what exactly Danny might be getting up to.
There are loads of laugh out loud moments in this book, basically because Kirsten is so honest and direct with her descriptions. And, I tittered and giggled my way through quite a few scenes in the book.
This was a very easy read and completely light hearted
This book was short, cute, fun, and easy. I’d recommend for a light, somewhat saucy book that has at least one twist you wouldn’t expect.

There’s not much I have to critique about the book. I enjoyed it. It won’t make the list of my new favorites, but maybe that’s cause there wasn’t a ton to it. I’d recommend reading this if you want a light palate cleanser read!
Oh my goodness, this book was so good!! Right from the start I was hooked, and didn’t want to stop reading. This book was absolutely hilarious. It was my first time reading a book by this author, but it won’t be my last.
This book is about the antics of being a married couple with kids. It was fun to read about their life in their 20s to being married with kids. It talks about the uncertainty and questions regarding sex after having kids. Overall, it was such a great book, and it is not an erotica. I would recommend this one!
I didn't hate this book, but I also didn't love it.
Meg is a great character and this book is full of tumour, but for me I also found it dragged quite a bit.
I don't know what I was expecting for Danny's big reveal but it certainly wasn't that. I found that reveal a little anti-climatic.
It's also got a lot of blue bits, and I don't mean the colour. If you're a bit prudish, this book won't be for you.
This was a funny story of marriage and family life. It went on a little long for me, I think the story could have been resolved earlier. Also, if any readers are sensitive to graphic sexual scenes, this book is not for them. Overall, I enjoyed it. 3.5 stars.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
*4.5
I really enjoyed this story! I think my perceptions of what it was going to be about were a little off, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I thought that our main character would split from her husband, rediscover herself sexually, leading to a wider rediscovery of herself in other ways. However, that wasn’t really the case. Meg does make a shocking discovery early on about her husband. This could have very easily caused friction and been reason for them to separate but the author didn’t choose to take this route and I appreciated that. Meg instead handled the discovery very well after the initial shock has passed! She decided to talk with Danny and try to understand him. I think this was a testament to the relationship the couple had, I adored their relationship. Danny’s secret wasn’t made into something sordid, sexual or because of problems with Meg. It was about him living out his own interests doing something he enjoyed. Danny re-assures Meg throughout the whole book and despite Megs wobbles you can just see the love and respect these characters have for one another.
I knew within the first few chapters I was going to like this book and its writing style. It was jam packed with humour, funny moments and the humour was exactly the kind I like. It had a similar feel in style to Nick Spalding, author of one of my favourite books and Tracy Bloom, author of one of my favourite series. I am a fan of books that feature character who are very straight talking, with a real dry whit and sense of humour. It’s an almost, dare I say it, a British sense of humour where the laughs are in sarcasm and the bluntness. I’m not sure if that makes sense? Either way it was an incredibly funny book that led to me laughing out loud on several occasions.
The fact this book featured a humours writing style and made me laugh so much meant it was really easy to feel an affiliation with the characters and grow to like them. They all just seemed real and down to earth. I loved Meg and Danny equally, as individuals but also as a couple; was just as fond of the supporting characters. I really liked Tess and Eve their children, children are always a good source of laughs within books if done well. I loved that they had big personalities for two little people. However, I think my favourite character was Stu, Danny’s brother. I think he was the funniest character in the book but also showed he had a big heart helping with his nieces and stepping up to help Danny. Eve recounts of Stu’s interactions at the school gates were a personal highlight.
Overall, I thought this book was fantastic! It had a great cast of characters that had me chucking throughout. At the heart of this story are two characters who are crazy about each other and through uncovering a secret they reconnect and become closer than ever. I feel this is the sort of story I would never tire of. I could pop back in a years’ time, to another story where we re-join these characters and I would have just as much fun catching up with them as I had reading this book. I think there would always be a story to tell and laughs to be had. A book following Stu as he maybe finds love and settles down could be fun? Let’s hope I get the opportunity to re-join them one day.
This was a light, funny laugh out loud book about a couple with three daughters who rediscover each other and their sex life. I think this is something every married couple goes through, but maybe not quite like this. LOL!
I really enjoyed the perspective the story was told from and found the internal dialogue was very relatable and amusing. The book caused me to laugh a lot.
And by the end, I felt a comforting, strong connection with the Morton family. I would recommend this book to anyone adult who wants a light-hearted giggle and feel-good book.
From the beginning of this book to the very ending couldn't stop laughing. Each character was perfectly peculiar and endearing. I fell in love with each of them. The story was amazing and realistic. There is a bit of Meg in every woman I know and this made her more real.
Wonderfully written, amazing character and laugh out loud situations which made for interesting and awkward staff room moments.
I loved it.
A book I needed to read. I loved it. It was cute and a pretty good/humorous representation of married life and aging.
Ok....Where do I start. The beginning of the book was very good. An easy read with great characters. Also a few laughs a minute, but then I got bored. I got to 60% and it started to feel like a very low rate pornographic movie! I am not a prude by far but it all got a bit tedious and I couldn't work out where the story was going. Had some good bits but ran out of steam, I would still read a book by this author though.
This was a non-stop enjoyable book! It was very funny, entertaining and relatable! I highly recommend it!
