Apologies for the late response on this title, and apologies for clogging up an inbox on old titles.

While I am aware it's obvious, I have chosen not to read/review this title.

As always, I appreciate access to titles and look forward to the next one...which I have likely already read based on how long ago this title was published.

Thanks, again.

This book is one I hope to come back and read sometime but right now I am very deep into fantasy and romance and this is a book that is just not captivating me at the time.

This reprint of Watching You by Leslie Kelly is the first book in the Hollywood Heat trilogy. What started out as a one-way crush becomes far more when Jessica Jensen finally meets the man of her dreams, heartthrob Reece Winchester, a Hollywoo icon. A one-night stand with the uber successful man becomes a season of secrets and danger. While it is more than evident that Reece quickly falls for Jessica, the baggage he brings into the relationship could destroy any chance of a happy future together.

In fact, Reece is the eldest brother of a Hollywood dynasty, and Reece, along with brothers Rowan and Raine have secrets that are soon to be unburied. No doubt these secrets will have a powerful impact on what could be a lasting relationship between Reece and Jessica.

Someone is aware of events of the past concerning the Winchester brothers and it just might be time to pay up. What secrets are the brothers hiding and how far will they go to keep them buried? Who is watching and how deep will the danger get, for the brother and now Jessicca as she has become part of their lives? Will Jessica be able to trust Reese completely and will she become a victim of the danger that is now facing her?

What a thrilling story! I loved this book by Leslie Kelly! I kept this print ARC on my shelf for nearly a year but boy am I glad I grabbed it and sat down and read it, which I did from cover to cover in one sitting. In fact, I also read Nowhere to Hide, previously titled Wanting You with the same vigor and zeal that I read this book. I am more than eager to read the third book in the series.

Many thanks to Forever and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

A great book. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I loved the characters. I prefer reading about actors rather than rock stars and a bit of mystery also really helps.

I’ll Be Watching You by Leslie A. Kelly is the first book in the romantic suspense Hollywood Heat series. This first of the series was actually first published in 2018 and is now being reprinted with an all new cover. And even though this is a series each of the books can be read on their own as with each book the main couple changes.

Jessica Jensen is an aspiring screenwriter who is currently helping her artist sister with her show when she meets Reece Winchester. As soon as Reece saw Jessica he knew that he had to meet her and Reece is the type who always gets what he wants. However, when these two do meet someone takes a shot at the room they are in and with both having secrets in their pasts Jessica and Reece aren’t sure who was the suspected target.

Well, I have to admit I got off to a rough, slow start with I’ll Be Watching You and wasn’t sure I would like it at all. In the beginning of this one I failed to find any romance or suspense to it and got a little worried however once the story took off a bit more I did find the rest a worthwhile read leaving me to give this one 3 1/2 stars overall.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

Love a good mystery and this book was pretty great for that. It had loads going on, plenty of mystery, stalkers taking things too far, and steam between the two. I loved watching as things progressed in the book getting to see from the stalker point of view. I loved watching that intense attraction between the two, I mean it does get into details with the steamy scenes which I'm not much into. I loved that there was so much going on that there was never a dull moment. Overall this was a pretty great book I really enjoyed it.

I read Watching You when it was originally released and really enjoyed the update and changes made for the release of I’ll Be Watching You. I was supplied a digital copy for review, but also bought my print copy as I always wanted one for my Leslie Kelly keeper shelf. I have made updates to my original review based on changes to the updated version of this story.

I have been a fan of the romantic suspense genre since I first discovered it years ago. I love when I find an author who does it well, and Leslie A. Kelly is absolutely a master at her craft. I’ll Be Watching You is the first book in her Hollywood Heat series that centers around the Winchester siblings, with eldest brother Reece getting his story first. I will put it out there that the mystery of the Winchester siblings will span the series, but the set up is done so well in I’ll Be Watching You, I really hope we get the rest of the story with each brother’s story.

I have to say that initially Reece Winchester worried me a bit when he first saw Jessica Jensen. I honestly expected to see him be more upfront about his attraction rather than having a few stalker-like tendencies. I got with him being Reece Winchester, he had to be extra careful, but it seemed like he was almost trying to direct their first meeting. I loved that Jessica pretty much made him gravel before she was willing to accept his apology, so I was able to let it go. I really loved the chemistry between Reece and Jessica, as they were smoking hot together. I found myself loving how protective Reece was of Jessica without being too over the top.

I loved that Jessica was an aspiring screenwriter. I knew as soon as we met her advisor I didn't trust him not to screw her over. I hated her first experience with someone in the Hollywood writing world was so unscrupulous, but was really glad she had Reece in her corner to make sure her ideas and interest were protected. When I read this story originally, I felt like Jessica wasn’t a very strong heroine in the beginning. I felt like the changes Ms. Kelly made not only to Reece, but also to Jessica only made the characters stronger and easier to relate to overall. I knew based upon Jessica’s past, she was a very strong person to survive and flourish as she has. I felt like this time she spoke her mind more and took control rather than relying on Reece unless absolutely necessary.

The suspense elements in I’ll Be Watching You were absolutely perfect. I loved at least part of the mystery will last over the entire series. I will say there was not a cliffhanger feel to the mystery, even though certain aspects were revealed at the end of the book. Ms. Kelly kept me on the edge of my seat through much of I’ll Be Watching You. I need to know what happened to all the Winchesters in the past and what will happen to them in the future. I highly recommend I’ll Be Watching You to fans of romantic suspense genre.

An aspiring screenwriter captures the attention of the handsome actor she grew up falling in love with through the movie screen.

As sexy and mysterious as this was, the romance is 100% unconvincing. Our celebrity protagonist Reece instantly falls for Jessica when he sees her through a security camera. He later calculates his encounter with Jessica by enticing her with the fact that he bought her sister's erotic sculpture, knowing that it was modeled after Jessica, even though the sculpture didn't have the exact same face...and she totally falls for it, as if the fact that her sister used her as a model for a sexy sculpture wasn't weird enough. And of course, the pair come from troubled backgrounds (though Reece's is infinitely more tragic) and are somehow connected even if they had never met (Jessica's professor has worked with Reece in the past). Reece offers her an internship which is obviously more inappropriate than it is professional and Kelly really tries to make Reece's actions acceptable to the reader.

Don't get me wrong--I want to know what happens next for sure. That cliffhanger, despite all the melodrama, is alluring me to get the next installment.
