It was good and I'm mad that I don't have the book to finish right now! Guess I gotta go read "The Friend Zone" (which I already owned).

The first six chapters reel you right back into the world she created. When we last saw sloan, she was a shell of her past self devastated by the death of her fiancé. This is the story of reemergence to life. I can’t wait to read the rest of her journey!

Well, that was dumb. I should not have read this preview because now I am dying for the rest!!!!! April is so far away. I love this, I don't want to say goodbye to Tucker and Sloan and Jason.
This started off with Sloan, I could just feel her pain. Losing someone you love is a big fear of mine. Her pain is still pretty raw, even after 2 years. Tucker dropping into her lap, he was just what she needed! I love seeing her slowly come back to life with Tucker by her side. And then in comes Jason. *sigh* He is a good guy, loves his dog AND is bearded and attractive, come on!! Can it be April now?

Favorite line so far:
"Sometimes the hardest place to live is the one in-between"

close second :
"And that guy? You should climb him like a tree. Or at the very least shake his branches. See what kind of nuts fall out."

ugh. they're so sweet and cute and funny together. I need more. This is an unacceptable wait time.

Just saying. I love it.

Great little preview for this book. Funny start for poor Sloane, but so far I really like the relationship that she is developing with Tucker. Can't wait to see where the book goes from here.

I loved this preview and can't wait to read the entire book! The characters are relatable and I can tell the book will be a great read!

Thanks to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

So far, it's great. I read and really liked the Friend Zone, so I was already familiar with both the protagonist Sloan and her best friend Kristen. I also had vivid memories of the motorcycle accident that killed Sloan's fiancee in book 1. When the Happy Ever After Playlist opens it's two years later, and Sloan is still, understandably mired in grief. The preview did a great job reintroducing the characters without too much backstory and establishing the new love interest, Jason. The preview is tantalizing. It definitely made me want to read the book, which I expect to be even stronger than Jimenez's debut.

Abby does it again! She makes you LOVE these characters. Then she makes you cry with them. Sloan is like the girl you've known all your life. You can't help but get sucked in to the book. I don't know if I can wait until April for the rest of it!

The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez is about Sloan and her struggles of having to deal with her husband's death two years ago. That is... Until she almost ran over a dog (crazy right?) and then decides to take care of it since the dog owner, Jason, was nowhere to be seen or heard of.

I love how witty Sloan is and how bold Jason is. This book also has more dialogue than the description which makes this book more unique than the rest of the romances. I will say that this book was killing me with cuteness from start to finish.

I recommend this to anyone who loves dogs and romance.

Loved this (albeit too brief) look into Abby Jimenez's next novel! I love Sloan and I can't wait to read the rest of her story.

I read the preview for this book. I am so excited to read the rest of the book when it comes out! This was just a little taste and it definitely left me wanting more! Both characters are funny and real! Thank you for the ARC!

This review has taken me way too long to write - and that's the problem with doing justice to a book that you absolutely loved! The Happy Ever After Playlist is the follow up to 2019's debut hit, The Friend Zone and is chock full of antics, charm, wit, dogs and of course, one of the most captivating romances of the year between a grieving Sloan and a superstar musician, Jason.

Fans of Jiminez know that she has a unique ability to make you laugh and cry (often simultaneously) and The HEAP is no exception! Jiminez navigates starting over and finding love again when you thought it was lost forever and does so in a way that will capture reader's hearts (especially mine), everywhere.

The perfect teaser and also the worst decision I made.

I loved The Friend Zone and was so excited I didn't have to wait too long for The Happy Ever After Playlist to come out. When I seen this preview I was so excited.

I love Sloan and Jason already. Abby just knows how to write amazing books!

I can't wait too see how the rest of the book turns out

This short preview is enough to capture my attention! I just think the premise of this book is so cute. I will definitely be anticipating this as it releases. I can’t wait to read Sloan and Jason’s story!

This extended preview piqued my interested for Abby Jimenez' full novel, to be published in April. I'm equally as enamored with the author's writing style as I was upon reading THE FRIEND ZONE. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Like I’ve said before, I knew reading this little excerpt would just eat at me. And it did. I don’t know why I even bothered because now I have to anxiously wait another 3 months to find out how everything comes together. Abby is an incredible author. I hope she never gives up writing.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the preview. I’m not much of a romance reader, but this title seems like it’s going to be a fun read based on this excerpt. I’ll definitely be picking this up when it’s published.

This preview had me begging for more! On the anniversary of her fiance's accident Sloan is on her way to the cemetery when a dog runs out in the middle of the road. Sloan stops to hopefully help the owner get the dog back when the dog suddenly jumps onto her car and into her sunroof! As she is trying to reach the owner for two weeks her best friend states the dog and brought out a side of Sloan that she hasn't seen in a while. When the dog's owner finally lands after not having cell service for two weeks he finds his dog had run away from (his now because of losing his dog ex-friends with benefits) some major flirting happens between Jason and Sloan and I for one can't wait to read the rest of the book!

After reading The Friend Zone recently, I knew I had to pre-order The Happy Ever After Playlist. Just like in the Friend Zone, I found myself sucked into the back and forth between the two main characters, Sloan and Jason.

The banter is flirty and fun, and there is also a realness to the characters and their lives. This makes me more excited to get my pre-order, and I'll plan to start it that night!
