How would I discribe this book raw, honest and helpful. Carlos gets extremely honest in here about how he wrestled with anxiety I'm talking heart palpitations every single day anxiety. In this book he leads you on his journey but not just his journey he gives you opportunity to join in on finding freedom and closeness with Christ by asking yourself questions at the end of each chapter and then at the end of each section you reflect on each previous chapter and questions you answered through a guided prayer this helps not just become a book you say awe that was a nice book as you place it on the shelf nope this book you work through, you wrestle through, you gain tools and biblical wisdom from a fellow Christian friend.

I have followed Carlos on instagram for several years. He has been a voice I've gone to and learned from over the past year. Enter Wild was a deeper dive and more intimate conversation to what he already brings on his social media. He cover life, his love for the Lord, anxiety, the hard stuff. His writing on enter resting brings such a refreshing take in such a busy loud time in the world.

This is the first book I've read from Carlos and I think it would have been more enjoyable/impactful as a reader if I knew more of what he referenced from his previous books. (It seems to assume the reader knows more of his backstory.)

I found the portion of praying the problem v praying the promise very interesting and helpful.

This wonderful book is the second for Christian author, speaker, and singer Carlos Whittaker. I have not had the pleasure of reading his first bestseller entitled Kill the Spider, but I certainly will now. Carlos provides sage advice for each of us to ENTER WILD. He maps out the steps we each should practice daily in order to tap into God's uncontainable, unfathomable, WILD abundance that He has in store for us. Carlos makes a valid point that we have all settled for mediocre, mundane existence and we are happy with the little glimpses of God's abundance that we see from time to time. Yet when we go all-in and start the process of aligning our life to God's plan, we will be able to ENTER WILD faith and abundance greater than we could ever imagine. The author draws from his own very person experiences to demonstrate how he came to ENTER WILD. The signs, wonders, and miracles he has experienced truly are amazing and leave the reader saying "I want some of THAT!"

This is a faith-based book about how to lower the volume of your life so that you can hear God speaking. Carlos shares a lot of personal stories in this book, but the ones I found particularly useful were about his struggle with anxiety and how he was able to get through some of those most critical moments and restore the relationship with his wife and children. I was able to read it in one sitting, but it's packed with lots of useful information like reflection questions, Scriptures to read, and prayers to speak if you wanted to take your time and read this like a devotional. *Advance copy provided by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

In Enter Wild, Whittaker invites you along on a journey of stories. Stories that remind us we can push through the trials of life by leaning hard into God and the truths He speaks over us. Each chapter ends with questions to help take you deeper on the journey. Enter Wild is an invitation into a deeper prayer life. A reminder you're not the only one struggling on the journey. And that God loves you and likes you very very much.

If you follow Carlos on Instagram, you know he is a man of depth, of humor, of truth and of courage. His book is no different. You get to experience his truth and gain wisdom from each page. Enter Wild is about silencing the noise of the world and gaining a heavenly understanding of life. It's about reaching deeper and going deeper with Jesus and pushing aside outside distractions.

I definitely suggest this book to anyone who is struggling with a mediocre faith and wanting to find more meaning in their relationship with Jesus.

I not only enjoyed reading Carlos Whittaker’s Enter Wild book, but was challenged by it. Some of his advice may seem simplistic to seasoned Christians, but it’s the simple things we make so hard that we often find ourselves not doing them. When we stop doing them, our relationship with God suffers and we wonder why. Reminds me of the saying, “It’s not easy, but it’s simple!” Reading through Carlos’ journey encouraged me to look at where I’ve gone complacent. What have I stopped doing because life is so full right now? Read this and be encouraged!

Carlos Whittaker is a gifted storyteller. He has a gift. In this book he has woven together his stories with the lessons he has learned while teaching us at the same time.

Enter the Wild is a good book with a clear, strong message. If you are looking for a book to help you life out your faith, this is a pretty good choice.

The publisher made a copy of this book available via Netgalley. This is my honest review.

Enter Wild is a great example of what Christian writing should be. Carlos is such a great storyteller. His story throughout helps to put his practices into easy steps to take for those reading. The points he makes are simple to understand and are super practical. This is one of those books that I look forward to reading again and again. There’s so much in it to unpack and I can’t wait to dive deeper.

This is the third book I’ve bought by Carlos. Each one I’ve read takes us deeper and further into a life dedicated and devoted to Christ.

Carlos takes us into dark places at times but pulls us out toward the light and glory of our risen Savior.

Carlos’ personal journey shows that our salt has more savor and our light shines brighter through the trials we face with Jesus.

Carlos Whittaker seemlessly uses his personal story to provide the reader with tools for entering Wild, a place where the Holy Spirit is alive and active in your life.

Although I've never dealt with the same struggles as Carlos, his reflections and encouragements are so applicable to all faith journeys. I especially appreciated the opportunity at the end of each chapter to think on my personal life.

This book is a game changer. God will mark you for life in amazing ways, if you let Him, as you respond to the Godly principles, honest answers and powerful prayers. My highest recommendation is this....I'm buying one for each of my kids, praying they walk boldly by Faith for Jesus all their days.

I’ll be honest, I enjoy much of what Carlos Whittaker does. That said there are moments within his books where I wonder if what he is saying is applicable to all believers.

With Enter Wild I would say he was dead on with his statements, the approach to live a life of abundance is only possible with Holy Spirit, is correct. Regardless your view of Holy Spirit.

What must be understood with this book, he is making public confession that his previous experience (written about in Kill the Spider) was true but not fully effective. What he said worked greatly he actually found to not be as deeply changing as first seen. Eventually his spiders came about again. He needed something real to deal with the anxiety and his coping actions.

Enter Wild is that path, it is what pastors have been preaching for decades, it’s what Jesus dealt with in his ministry. Confess, be forgiven and healed, trust and follow, receive Holy Spirit, live abundantly.

True it’s not as simple as this at times, but the outline is solid and when followed we find the truth that Carlos is living – life in the Spirit is abundant, freeing, and better than we can imagine.

*I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. These are my personal thoughts.

First book I have read by Carlos Whitaker and I can’t wait to read the others! This book felt like Carlos was sitting right across from me speaking Gods truth over me. Carlos uses his own experiences to explain how we can enter this amazing world full of God’s abundance. It was an easy quick read and I highly recommend!

"Enter Wild", by Carlos Whitaker, is a Christian self-help book about how to develop peace in your life despite your circumstances. Whitaker had several helpful suggestions about dealing with anxiety in practical ways. The book was well-written, but didn't hold my attention as much as I had hoped.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review. I like Carlos Whittaker and have enjoyed hearing him on several podcasts. This book though, was not for me. The premise is that God calls us to a WILD faith if abundant life and hearing His voice. I agree with that, but differed on the how. I felt that there were a few issues in the book:
• I felt that I was reading a sermon as opposed to a book much of the time. I know this is a difficult piece to achieve, but the book felt very preachy and I struggled with that.
• I had theological issues with Whittaker's approach to healing and hearing God's voice. Growing up in the Pentecostal tradition, I wholeheartedly believe in these things. However, I felt that he leaned into word of faith and some other practices I take theological issue with.

I appreciate the heart behind this book - to see Christians living full and abundant lives of faith. That is important. However, Carlos Whittaker and I would see the definition of that - and the road to get there very differently.

Carlos Whittaker is a story teller. If you’ve ever followed him on social media, then you know. He was born with a Voice, you know, the type that deserves the capital V.

God’s Word delivered through Whittaker has calmed nerves, smoothed anxiety, stifled fear and killed many spiders. Throughout following this author I’ve journeyed back and forth in the Word finding my own Voice.

The thing about Whittaker is, he doesn’t just give you Word; he also gives you tools to help you discover a deeper relationship with God on your own.

ENTER WILD provides the tools you need to discover your faith on a whole new level.
