Due to the fact that this book was pulled from the publisher and because of the author's actions, I will not be reading this title.
This book was pulled by the publisher so I did not finish it. I am reviewing it for my Netgalley account's sake and continuing to receive books.
Due to the allegations surrounding the behavior of Taylor B. Barton, and their subsequent contract termination with Inkyard Press, I will not be giving this title a full review.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review.
Due to the racism and bullying by this author I have elected to no write a review of this book. I appreciate this opportunity to read the book but I did find the ending quite problematic.
I have elected not to read and review this book due to time constraints. Thank you for the opportunity.
This was a fun, fantasy romp! I loved the relationships that were formed and the magical elements. Anything about cats is a win for me. I will definitely check out more of Taylor B. Barton's books in the future!
I was a bit skeptical about the description from the beginning and well, due to facts about the author that have come to light, I won't be finishing this
Due to actions of the author resulting in the publisher pulling this book, I will likely not be reading it. It's a real shame because it sounded like a cute story.
I decided not to read and review this title after it’s come to my attention to some of the behavior of the author. I’ve even seen where Inkyard Press dropped them. I do not condone or support any of that.
This was a very charming and creative story. This will be perfect for students that love A Dog's Purpose, but with a slightly different spin.
Unfortunately after requesting this book, I learned how controversial the author is. I was unable to finish reading it.
I won't be reading this book because it was pulled from publication for the author being problematic.
I was unaware of Taylor B. Barton's actions before requesting this book, and thus I will not be reviewing it. Thank you to Inkyard for pulling the book and standing up for what is right.

I really enjoyed this book and I believe my students will too! Easy to read and follow along and simple understandable story. Interested to see work from this author in the future
The Ninth Life by Taylor B Barton
This was a different read. It reminded me a little of Everyday, except instead of waking up a different person each day, the main character woke up a different person each life. Unlike other people in the world who forget their past lives, Caesar remembers all his/her lives. At the end of his feline life, he begs the gods to let him live again so that he is near Ophelia, who was his person in his eighth life. What he didn't plan on was coming back as a human and falling in love with O. He also didn't plan on taking the life of an already living human and dealing with the messiness of being human, including human relationships. This was definitely an interesting out-the-box read. Worth the read. #ninthlife #netgalley

as of this tweet, I feel like I do not need to review this book, but did not want to report it as not giving feedback. I did not want to hurt my chances of getting other books or damaging my feedback ratio.
I am proud of this publishing company for taking a stand. Thank you.
