This book continues the story started in the first book The Last Letter. Overall I enjoyed this second book. Everyone has been separated and they are all trying to reunite. The author does a good job with the historical detail. The writing is good and it is easy to read. It is still too long and there is some repetition but the story is a good one. This series does have to read in order. I will continue to read this series. Enjoy
this was a really enjoyable read, the characters were great and I loved the time period that the story was set in. I really enjoyed the series so far.
Loved this book.
A different story than I’m used to, but I found the story engaging and kept me wanting to read more.
Jeanie Arthur and her 3 kids get separated after loosing everything. But with love and family her most important goal in her life, she gets them back and life will be perfect once more.
Looking forward to starting the next in this series.
This was a really long book and one that I thought was only going to be an ok read. I didn't realize that it was the 2nd book in a series until after I read it, so you don't have to read the 1st book to know what is going on in this one. I really enjoyed the author's writing style, as she really gave the reader an accurate view of the time period. The story of the twins and their feelings for their mother are explored in a manner that didn't drag out overly long, which I was afraid of when I saw how many pages this book had. Do not get discouraged by the length of this book, it is an enjoyable read!
