Imagine you can receive messages from loved ones after they passed. You can be reassured they are fine from the other side, or they can give you messages. In this book, Sherrie talks about sessions she has had with clients and psychic conversations. She talks about signs and signals to look for to know your loved ones are near you. She also reiterates the four different types of psychics. If you are intuitive or would like to improve your psychic skills, I recommend this book.
I have always believed that everyone has the potential to receive messages from the departed. The difference between those who do receive messages and those who don't is simply belief and practice. Like anything else worthwhile, time and attention has to be applied to develop a skill. Sherrie Dillard has done a great job in helping a reader to understand the potential that is there and the ways to practice and connect to loved ones. The author describes experiences she has had with others that I truly loved reading about. This book is a wonderful resource for those looking to move away from guilt, regret and move forward through their grief. Many thanks to Llewellyn Publications and Netgally for the opportunity to read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Really enjoyed this. I liked how the author gives you exercises on how to talk to your loved ones on the other side. As someone who has lost someone and does use dreams to communicate with them I’m glad this method was included. This book was reassuring.
Thank you to the Llewellyn and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
Loved it! I found this book to be very reassuring. When we lose a love one, grief is a painful process that involves feelings of regret, guilt, confusion, anger, sadness. The Author does an excellent job helping you put the loss in perspective by offering ways to 'communicate' through dreams, writing, journalling, intuition and sensing a presence. I especially liked the idea the Author suggests of asking a loved one to be 'with you' in your dream. There are many practical tips and advice the Author offers to make the grief process an 'active' process so you can work through & process your feelings. Thank you NetGalley and Llewellyn Publications for the opportunity to read this delightful book!

This is similar to other books on this topic which I have read and a lot of the ideas are the same. I have heard of "spirit guides" before, your angels and protectors who help you here on Earth. It is a great comfort to know you are never alone.
I lost my grandmother a few years ago and we were really close. She had told others "Jamie and I have a special bond", I remember doing everything I could to take care of her at grandpa's funeral when I was 10 and she told me she never forgot. I had to stop reading a section one morning about loosing a grandmother because I was getting ready for work and could not stop crying. This book can really hit home.
I have a decoration for my rearview mirror made with her funeral flowers with a charm which says "When a cardinal appears, your angel is near". Thank you for mentioning birds being a sign from above. I find it comforting knowing she still watches over me.
I also lost an ex boyfriend to suicide almost 10 years ago. I remember having a bad day at work, my stress level was through the roof, and our high school prom song came on over the radio and stopped me in my tracks. It was like he was saying "Calm down, I am here". I also had a dream shortly after he passed about what it would have been like if we had stayed together. All of these things are mentioned in great detail in this book.
I still think about my grandmother every day and not long ago, got the feeling she wasn't staying as close anymore. I don't know why, but this upset me a great deal. This book answered the question why and gave me the reassurance I needed to know she is ALWAYS with me, even though I don't always feel it.
What makes this book different? It gives you exercises you can do if you feel like you need to talk to your loved ones on the other side. This is a good reference guide I will keep for when I need it again. Thank you for a great book to review, it was my pleasure reading it!
This is really an interesting book. I have read many titles that discuss life after death and this one is one of the best. It goes from the experience that a soul experiences after it dies to what they are doing over there. Ms Dillard gives many exercises to connect with our special loved ones. Simple and positive ways to find solace. The ways spirit sends us signs is covered in a way that made more sense that just a list of what to look for.
If you have lost someone and worry about them , or wish to communicate again this title will definitely guide you to achieving it. I felt happier after reading this , more hopeful , more at peace. Reincarnation is discussed and so is soul groups. I wish she would have done more with reincarnation and its consequences but that is probably a whole book in itself. There is a lot of focus on the life review which I have never heard discussed so much in books or with other mediums. Not all mediums agree on what the other side is like nor what they are doing but this title makes a lot of sense . If you are grieving this title will give you hope and a base to move forward in a good way. Excellent!!
