Property developer Flynn Carter pressurised Julia Coleman into selling her grandfathers house at a knockdown price. Last seen when he didn't go through with the wedding to her friend, five years later, he has turned up in Julia's Scottish Highlands village of Heartcross where she owns a well established B&B. His plans for local Starcross Manor could mean ruin for her and for other businesses in the closely knit community

A great story that you will want to keep reading! With some twists and turns.

Flynn's plans to turn Starcross Manor into a big hotel will impact Julie's B&B as well as other businesses in the village but fans of the genre know that there will be happy compromise. While this is part of a series, it's perfectly enjoyable as a standalone. It's the sort of mellow read that's perfect for a relaxing day.

This is the 4th book in the Love Heart Lane series. A lovely cozy romantic book with a feelgood factor. The story evolves around Julia and Flynn. Flynn is wealthy and normally expects to have his own way. Flynn plans to turn Starcross Manor into a luxury hotel much to Julia’s disgust as it would dampen her plans for the manor and affect the community. It’s really worth reading to find out how the story develops.

Gorgeous book! Have not read the others in the Love Heart Lane series but this did not matter at all. It can definitely be read as a stand-alone! This book is #4 in the series and I want to read the others. It’s such a cosy, lovely and heart-warming read. It’s the perfect book to just curl up with a hot drink and a blanket. Loved it!

Starcross Manor by Christie Barlow

Julia Coleman owns a successful B &B in the village of Heartcross. After a rocky start many years before when an unscrupulous property developer bought her grandfather’s home for a fraction of its worth and then left her friend at the alter. Now Julia and Flynn Carter’s paths are crossing again as he has bought Starcross Manor and is going to turn it into a five star hotel. What implications will that have on the village and the village businesses?

Follow the journey of all the characters in this wonderful book. The twists and turns as dramas unfold and when some truths come to light that shows things aren’t always as the seem and when everyone works together everyone is a winner.

Christie Barlow just grows and grows with this series set in Heartcross even if you only read an individual book they are all beautifully written and do cover many difficult issues.

A lovely book as part of a series, I wish I had read the others so I could have a better understanding of the activity here.

A charming love story that kept me engaged right to the end.

This is such a lovely addition to the series. The community of Heartcross is a joy to revisit it as ever and the appearance of Flynn Carter certainly livens things up. It was also great to get to know Julia's character better and explore a new aspect of the community. I raced through it and the warmth coming through from every page is a real tonic especially in the current circumstances.

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

I have been reading the Love Heart Lane series from the start and this is the fourth book in the series and there are many more which I am excited to read and review soon.

The Love Heart Lane series is a place ‘where friends are there for you no matter what’ and that runs through every story so far in the series and is what makes it so good, you feel like you are back home among characters you can call friends. Each new book introduces new characters and stories but you also get to catch up with old friends and hear about how they are getting on. I love it, so much so that although I have these all on kindle I am buying all the paperbacks to, for my shelf and a good excuse to reread them all.

In Starcross Manor we follow Julia who has good reason to believe that the handsome rich Flynn is up to his old tricks. However, as Julia gets to know Flynn she wonders if she has been mistaken that is until, she finds out what Starcross Manor is to become. Starcross Manor is packed with action, surprises and romance! My favourite moment being when Julia and Flynn set sail…no spoilers here but it is so romantic and what a setting!

Starcross Manor is a perfect addition to a wonderful series, and I am exited to return.

Book #4 in the Love Heart Lane series. If you have not read the first 3 books, let me give you some back story. Set in the town of Heartcross, each book features a different person in the town. So far it's only been women but I'm sure Christie Barlow will get around to the gentlemen soon. You meet each character and see how she fits into the small town community. The community has all the same personalities you'll find in every small town plus the added romance that will inevitably leave us with several deep sighs.
In Starcross Manor, we will meet Julia Coleman, the owner of a local B&B whose business is threatened by the large luxury hotel being built in Heartcross. The hotel owner is Flynn Carter and the interactions between the two main characters lead to a very sigh worthy romance. This is a perfect romance for an afternoon's getaway from housework and the news. Treat yourself to Starcross Manor, then go back and treat yourself to the first three books too. You won't regret it.

Starcross Manor is the fourth instalment in the beautiful Love Heart Lane series.
I absolutely loved revisiting the village and being reacquainted with some much loved residents we have come to know throughout this collection of stories.
Julia is shocked and truly horrified when a familiar face reappears in their close knit village. Flynn Carter may well be an extraordinarily handsome man, but he has certainly burnt some bridges along the way. After buying her grandfathers old home for far less than it was worth years ago, he then went on to leave Julia's best friend at the alter,
But now Flynn has returned and he has taken over the old Manor and has big plans for its renovation.
Certainly ruffling some feathers on his return, Julia has the best of intentions to stay away from Flynn and his troublesome ways, but when she is forced in to his path, her feelings slowly begin to change towards him.
This is most certainly one of the loveliest, heart warming reads I have read for quite some time. I have adored following this series from the start, and this latest instalment definitely did not disappoint.
Full of fascinating characters and a stunning setting, it is impossible to not fall in love with this book!.

Thank you to Netgalley and Christie Barlow for my copy of Starcross Manor, for an honest review. This book is part of the Love Heart Lane Series, which I have read but I believe this book read like a stand alone. I will probably read the other books in the series, I enjoyed it that much. Julia Coleman meets Flynn Carter again and their reunion is less than joyful. Julia’s life and business are at a great place. She is going to expand her Inn and she is so excited about it. Until she realizes Flynn’s plan for Starcross Manor. His intentions are to make the property like all his properties. Bigger than love for, 5 star resorts. Julia, with her expansion hanging in the balance goes to bat for her and the town she loves. Can she work with Flynn to make all happy? Will Flynn wipe out the town with his world class resort? I really enjoyed the the characters and the setting was magical. This was a good, quick read for me. I realized that it was part of a series and felt like the author told an individual story. I have recommended this to friends and family. I also have recommended this on my Instagram page. I have shared my review on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I look forward to reading other books by Christie Barlow.

I was so happy to be making a return visit to Love Heart Lane. I reviewed the first book in this series previously and i loved it. This time we are meeting Julia, who owns the b&b and the mysterious Flynn who is new to the village and he has secret plans for Starcross Manor.

Julia knows one thing though, the Flynn of the past cannot be trusted and when she discovers Flynn is turning Starcross into a luxury hotel she once again sees he cannot be trusted, his plans affect all the people of the village and will impact their businesses. So - Julia rallies everyone together and sets about fixing this.

As the pair come to blows, Julia finds herself in need of help from Flynn so she swallows her pride and asks him for help but has he changed? Can he prove himself. I thought this was another great read. It had enough mentions of the first book that it was an added bonus to the reader but if you hadn't already read it, you didn't feel out of place.

The characters were once more delightful, warming funny and so relatable. The sense of community once more was one of my favourite things. As a reader you get to visit all the little places, learn everyones little quirks and how everyone benefits everyone in a small place like Heartcross. I really loved Julia, who was strong willed, passionate and supportive. I think she was the sort of person you would want on your team backing you. Flyn was mysterious and had a reputation that preceded him but i loved getting to discover more about him and really seeing how things are not as they seem.

A light hearted, cute and fun read that whisks the reader away into little village life for a while. I was gifted my copy for the blog tour.

Another fantastic book in the Love Heart Lane series!!! This is book 4 and once again I really enjoyed reading a book by Christie Barlow. It's a page turner, there is no time to get bored, there is always something happening, a lot of events are going on and of course there is a nice romance into this book! This is a book you can read if you haven't read the 3 first books. But I read the first 3 books and I really appreciate to meet the characters from the previous books again and know what they became. I really like that!!!! It's a book and a series of books that I warmly recommend!

Starcross Manor is the fourth book in the wonderful Love Heart Lane series by Christie Barlow. It was a treat to revisit this village where the inhabitants have each other’s backs and for the most part do their best to help each other. Julia runs a B&B in the village and is horrified to see a face from her past in Heart Cross. Flynn Carter is handsome and highly successful, but he’s also the man who jilted her best friend and devastated Julia when he bought her grandfather’s home for a much lower price than it was worth years before.

Now Flynn’s back, and when she discovers that he’s taken over the manor and is renovating it to open it up as a luxury hotel, she fears he is about to entice away her precious clients from her B&B. Julia might be determined to have nothing to do with Flynn, but when things go drastically wrong she finds that she has to reconsider that maybe he might not be the dreadful person she recalled him as being. Or is he?

This is a book to snuggle up with, forget what’s happening in the world, and lose yourself in the lives of the brilliantly depicted characters. It is a series not to be missed. I’m now eagerly awaiting the fifth book in the series, The Lake House.

Thanks to HarperCollins, One More Chapter and NetGalley for an ARC copy of this book in return for an honest review.

What a lovely heartwarming story. When I read the first couple of chapters and saw what a difficult relationship that Julia and Flynn had, I must admit I did wonder how on earth this could possibly work out. But eventually that mystery was resolved as the story unfolded and things were not all as they seemed.

Star cross Manor is perfect escapism and offers us another chance to visit Heartcross and see how all the characters from the previous books in the series are getting on.

I loved getting lost in the pages and especially towards the end when Flynn pulls out all the stops with a couple of exciting and fabulous surprises. It was just so romantic.

Also I’m suspecting one of his surprises is going to be the subject of the next book which I think is really exciting.
Christie Barlow has created a gorgeous little community in Heartcross and I can’t wait for my next visit. X
