This was a cute little book about the environment and space. I think it was a cute little duo and I really enjoyed this book.
I had great fun reading this book! What a fab way to teach your littlies about environmental issues! Earth is near collapse because of the way it has been treated by humans for so long. Michael Recycle desperately wants to do something about it but it’s such a HUGE task! Never fear, because he is soon to meet a visitor from another planet – Borat the Space Cat. Borat knows just what to do because he has done it on his own planet – Splearth – and so he takes Michael home to show him just how important sustainability is and what he can do to help. And all in rhyming language which kids are bound to love! A fab read that deals with important issues.
what a great way for children to learn about environmental issues! I loved the illustrations, as well as the rhyming way of explaining global warming for children. Would definitely recommend!
Borat is definitely the best space cat around! The rhyming of the story made it easy to read, with an amazing message on the need to recycle to save the world!
Eh...not my favorite children's book. I did enjoy the illustrations. The story, not so much. Preachy and a bit boring.
2.5 simply because of the pictures.
What started out as a cute book about caring for our earth became a push for veganism and scaring kids that there might be only 200 days left (of earth). Kids can misunderstand and/or take things very literally so ideas like this for youngsters 1-3rd grades can backfire. I felt this had more of a "shame on you" tone than a "what you can do to help" tone. Would not recommend.
