I enjoyed this books but sometimes found that the thoughts from characters could get a little repetitive. I wish there were more scenes centered around the band performing as I feel like there were enough scenes in the book. I the relationship between all of Sin's bandmates. They were each others found family and I thought that was a great message that family doesn't have to be from blood. The main two characters have led two very different lives. One is from a well off family while the other has been through foster care since she was a kid. There is cheating in this book so if you are against it and can't forgive it I would not recommend this book to you.

Wow what a cracker for a debut!
Sinclair (Sin) and Jacob (Jake) move in completely different circles. Sin is the lead singer of her band Sin City and Jake is a CFO for a Las Vegas casino 'The Hotel' . After a very messy and gut wrenching break up 4 years ago they never imagined they would cross paths again and have both tried so hard to forget the Ghosts of their past. Sin didn't imagine when she agreed to do a year's residency at The Hotel that she would come face to face with the Ghosts she thought she had buried all those years ago. Jake has never forgotten Sin and when he lays eyes on her again all the feelings he has come flooding back and he tries desperately to get her back but can she forgive and forget after having her heart ripped from her all those years ago?
This story was so well written I was so surprised to learn it was a debut. Wow can M. Jay Granberry write some heart wrenching drama! This story was full of angst and tension with a dramatic finish. It kept me up till the early hours. My only niggles were that I felt alot of the drama could have been avoided if Sin had just told Jake about Adam earlier (although this wouldn't have made for such a tense story) and that Jake didn't seem to want to take responsibility for what happened he was constantly trying to turn it round on Sin so I don't blame her for walking! He came across like a bit of a rich boy brat who expected to be forgiven at the drop of a hat. Would have liked to have seen a bit more of the conflict with Jakes family too.
Overall a right cracker and can't wait for Adams story.

Exquisitely Broken is the first book I have read by this author. So, being that this author is a first time read for me, so I didn’t know what to expect going in.

I found the style of the book similar to the Rock chick series by Kristen Ashley (who is one of my favorite authors), making me feel right at home in this particular book world. Lots of action, suspense romance and drama. Would definitely read this author again!

Roller coaster romance. Great characters who end up feeling like friends or family. The storyline keeps you turning the pages with more peaks than you can imagine.

This one was pretty good. It was a quick read. I liked the dual point of view and also the time jump from the present to the past.
The story line was good. Jacob broke Sinclair's heart in the past and since then they have moved on to finish college and then destiny brings them back together at last.
This is a great novel I loved the writing style, I love the secondary characters and the pace was excellent. Definitely will read more from the author!!

I really enjoyed this romance. I found it to be a slow burn but it held my interest and was not boring in it's slow burn pace.

I liked the characters of Sinclair and Jake and their romance hooked me and I had to keep reading to find out what would happen.

I would recommend this book if you like slow burn steamy romances.

This was a well written slow burn romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I thought that the story was told very well and the detail was great - the author had a great descriptive nature and I could picture all the surroundings as I was reading. The characters were well developed too and I thought that they worked well together with come cracking interaction!

I was pleased to find that this was the first book in the Sin City Tales series and I will be looking out for the rest of the books in the series now.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, I thought it was a well developed and well written story that had me hooked - very highly recommended!!

Exquisitely Broken is a well written story with engaging characters and a strong plot that flows easily and covers events both past and present. Sinclair and Jake are complex personas, with a tainted history that leads to tension and angst when they come back together after many years apart. Second chances aren’t always sunshine and roses, and this couple find out the hard way that even when the attraction is still off the charts, navigating the mire of their pasts will take courage and persistence. I thoroughly enjoyed my first read by M. Jay Granberry, and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Really enjoyed this author's debut! I was worried that I've seen all versions of the "rocker" trope before, but this was definitely a new twist. Looking forward to more by this author!
