Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
Kathleen Howard writes briefly about her childhood and then really focuses on how that affected her life. She studies different philosophies to find her true self and work through repressed emotions. This is a fairly well written book although I did somewhat lose interest during some chapters. I am glad I finished reading it and didn't give up during the less interesting parts.
This book is raw and honest and explores the author's journey from abusive home life to achieving success in her career. Kathleen became a people pleaser due to the abuse that she suffered from her mother and it took a lot for her to overcome. Luckily, the discovery of yoga put her on the path to healing.
