This is a suspense story centring around Jessica and the secrets that her family hold. The story is easy to read and I flew through it quickly whilst I guessed the ending halfway through it was still a good read.
Many thanks to the publishers and netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
This has been a gripping and captivating read which I have found hard to put down. I love a book which keeps you guessing throughout. Definitely recommend this one.
I LOVE Karen Cole I have read all of her books and enjoyed them so i knew when I received this ARC I would enjoy it too!! Well, I did and so will you!!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I would rate this an average thriller. Some good suspense and twists but slow moving in other parts.
Karen Cole does it again.
I really loved Deliver Me - it was refreshing and it kept me guessing the entire way through - so when I saw Deny me, I KNEW I had to read it.
Brilliant. She kept me guessing most of the way through, and I definitely guessed the twist, but I think that is just because I am now familiar with her writing style I guessed it through that - not because the story lead it that way. It was wickedly clever, it did have two/three storylines at the same time, but they linked in perfectly and left no questions needing answering. Brilliant
What a book!
I really didn’t see the twist coming at all. Good pace that kept me interested throughout.
Can’t wait to read more by this author.
Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. I would rate this an average thriller. Some good suspense and twists but slow moving in other parts.
I had never read this author. This was a great book. I raced through the pages until the closing climax. I would definitely recommend this book and will read future books by her.

Thank you to Netgalley for the preview of this book. Having read Coles books before I had high expectations. I was not left down. It is dark twisty & gripping. The ending is one that you don't see coming & was an excellent ending to a great book.
Deny Me is a dark thriller with a lot of mystery and twists!
Definitely recommend this book!

Jessica has returned to live with her parents after living in Spain for 3 years. While in Spain she lost her job, had a nasty break up and suffered a mental break down. Jess settles in quickly to helping her father care for her mother, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. When her mother tells Jess that their neighbor killed his wife, Jess fears her mother’s illness is moving more quickly than expected. There is a great deal of plot twisting in this novel snd it had me on edge trying to decide what would happen next. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to be an early reader in exchange for my fair and honest review.
If I hadn't been so tired of an evening, I could've read this in one sitting and not three, it was that kind of compelling.
This was my first foray into the intriguing mind of Karen Cole, and the impact was such that I've immediately bought her debut novel Deceive Me. I find it fascinating how women are so much better than men at writing in this genre.
Going on the brief description, and my penchant for psychological thrillers, this novel could have gone either way with its ability to capture the reader from the opening chapter. In my case, hook, line and sinker. And the suitably excellent twists as the novel went on kept me hooked. It took me a while to grasp the who and the why, and in all honesty, I was perfectly disturbingly surprised.
It's not a difficult read, not taxing enough to wear you out, but drives you comfortably through at a steady pace, and as with all good thrillers, there's a race to the end whihc was well worth the journey.

This one was pretty twisty- some more obvious than others but still an enjoyable ride. 3.5 rounded up.

Deny Me by Karen Cole is another fabulous read from an author who never disappoints, and I am always thrilled to get my hands on her latest release. I had high expectations for this one, and I was not let down in any way.
Jess returns from Spain to live temporarily at home with her parents. Her mother is suffering from Alzheimer's, so Jess is sceptical when she reveals that the woman next door did not accidentally fall from a window to her death, but was, in fact, pushed. So begin Jess's efforts to unravel the plethora of secrets that have remained hidden for so many years. To not risk any reveals, I will say no more. You will want to read this one for yourself.
I was gripped by this multi-layered, twisted story from the very start, and was kept guessing until the very end. Recommended.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Quercus Books for this ARC.
