This is a fast paced edge of you seat read that will keep you guessing right up intill the last page this book kept me up all night I just couldn't put it down
I love books with cataclysmic event - and the events unfold. Not really a thriller - this book showcases the impact and aftermath of one moment in time. Family falters to readjust. Will they move past it? Or fail to adjust?
This was not one of Gillian's more regular type of books (thriller), but it was a nice and sweet story of one incident can change everybody's live. It was a nice read, will read more of her in future.
I had expected more of a thriller whereas this was quite slow paced and I did wonder at times where it was going. I was waiting for something to happen and it never actually did.
Not what I was expecting! Whilst this was a quick read, it was the thriller I had anticipated and felt more just like a bog standard story. The writing style was good and I did want to read to the end, but felt myself getting bored at points and wondering what exactly was the point of the book by the end.
Absolutely loved this book. It was just thrilling enough that I didn’t want to put it down. I even got a physical copy when it released!
The writing style was fairly superficial, which would have been problematic had the book been longer. As it is however, the brevity of the thing somehow made it more impactful.
An interesting plot, decent characters and a nice writing style but I expected more. It was slow paced and nothing seemed to happen and I expected more.
I was a little disappointed by this book, I thought I was going to be reading a psychological thriller. I kept waiting for something to happen but it never did. It was slow throughout and nothing really happened apart from the aftermath of an accident. The first book I have read by this author but I’ll be keeping my eye out for more in the future hoping that others would be more suited.
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review.
This book is the story of the aftermath of an accident, hence the title. Lots of drama in this book more so than thriller. The book is told by multiple points of view. The book makes you race through to find out what is going on. Its more of a book of a healing journey after the accident. You could say its a bit predictable but in having said that it was quite enjoyable.
An interesting plot, but in all honesty, I expected more from this book nothing seemed to happen I kept waiting for the thrill, but it didn't come. I will read more from this author though.
As the threads pull together you start to see the links of anguish. I didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. I will definitely look for this author again. I often find it hard to describe a book without giving away all the details and plot. In this book it’s very layered and jumps around but it’s an easy read but does pull in your heart strings a little. Worth a read!
A great thriller to keep you entertained. It was full of surprises and a great ending. Pick this up if you like quick and easy reads
The Accident is a thought-provoking tale by Gilian Jackson.
This is a story of one car accident and it's after effects, both one the individuals involved and those who love them. It is interesting and thought-provoking. It is well told, but lacks personal connection to the characters. An events driven story, the reader can definitely can relater to the feeling of guilt, as most would experience guilt and "what ifs". But other than that, the reader is left without a strong connection.
This is a story where secrets are unveiled and lies are discovered, as things aren't all as they seem. It's a story with some vile side characters. And ultimately a story of two people who are brought together after until connected event.
This is a ripples in the sand kind of story; a series of sad events, yet never too deep or emotional. The author definitely glosses over all the details, thus loses the chance to connect the readers to the characters.
It's ok, but I wish there was more of an emotional connection. A good plot, the writing style never really connects the reader to the characters. I love the idea, but not the execution.

My Review
Another great mystery!
The Accident is about a storm that changes everyone's lives forever. This is especially true for three families. Hanna, Joe, and Alan and Cassie's lives are intertwined together after a devastating collision.
Follow the story to find out what happens next. Definitely an engrossing story that was very well written.
Thankyou to NetGalley, Sapere Books and the author, Gillian Jackson, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of The Accident in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
I thought this book provided a good, quick read.
The characters, scenery and narrative of this book keeps you turning the pages to see how the story of these 3 families ends,
Worth a read.
Although I wouldn't consider this book a thriller, it was a quick and good read! A story about three families and how their lives were changed in a blink of an eye.. A great suspenseful drama that kept me reading!
What another great book from Gillian Jackson! I’ve read previous books from this author and really enjoyed them. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this was just as good as those. I enjoyed the story and the characters were very well written.
3 for neutral, tried on a few occasions, but was never able to get into this book. I will update if able to enjoy enough to finish at a later date.
I wouldn't categorize this as a thriller, but other than that I have no issues with this. It was emotional and thought provoking and I would recommend this to my friends.
