A quick short read about 3 families caught up in a car accident. It was predictable in places and too short but still a good read.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to preview The Accident by Gillian Jackson. This is not a mystery, and not a thriller. A family drama that surrounds an accident and how these lives weave into each other in the aftermath.
This is a short book and that's good for the reader, however, it didn't give time for the reader to be invested into the lives of the characters.
The premise of the book was better than the book. Needs more "meat" and the characters were flat.
Just ok for me.
2.5 stars.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of The Accident.
Ok, let me start off this review by saying whoever classified this book as a mystery/thriller, needs to consider a career change... there was nothing mysterious and/or thrilling about this story. It was about grief and a horrible accident that ends up bringing three groups of people together, in different ways. Not really my cup of tea... with that being said it wasn’t exactly a great or bad book, just mediocre. It was fast paced and took me only a few days to finish but that was more because I kept reading waiting for the “mystery/thriller” parts to come, which they did not. If you are into regular women’s fiction and like a good happy ending, this may be the book for you!

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book wasn’t my favorite psychological thriller of recent, but it was perfectly serviceable and did the job. The epitome of a three star thriller

The Accident by Gillian Jackson is difficult to review insofar as it fails to deliver a 'heart-stopping domestic thriller' as promised, yet is quite an enjoyable read all the same. While I would argue that the novel is not as advertised, it is nonetheless a solid read that caught my attention and kept me turning the pages.
Hannah sets off one morning as per usual, never realizing that she is embarking on a journey that will change her life. A tragic road accident will forever alter the lives of not only Hannah, but of two other families who will be irreparably devastated. As everyone involved struggles to come to grips with a new reality, even more shocks are in store for two of the survivors, and hope seems even further out of reach.
This is the first of Gillian Jackson's novels that I have read, and I will certainly look for more. Although this story seemed to cram simply too much into its pages to be completely feasible, I did enjoy the author's ability to craft a tale that held my unwavering interest.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Sapere Books for this ARC.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. I don't know why I keep requesting her books. I cannot get into them. They sound good but the writing is very simple and just holds no suspense for me. I end up giving up quickly as I don't have enough interest to even find out what happens.
