Huge thanks to #Netgalley and Gallery/Scout Press for my e-arc of Robyn Hardings’s The Swap.

What do you do when you make a mistake that haunts you? That is the question two couples have to figure out after a night of “harmless” fun turns into a night of endless regret.

Not only are the two couples affected, but so is a troubled teenaged girl named Low. Low is lonely and has some major boundary issues with other people. (Some would say stalkerish tendencies)

People are not what they seem, secrets are revealed (and they are huge life changing secrets), and not everyone makes it.

I think this is Robyn Harding’s best novel and I have loved all of her books. It’s suspenseful and unpredictable. With so many unreliable characters you are not for sure who to root for.

The novel begins off strong. It held my interest the whole time and I couldn’t put it down. It definitely ends with a bang. Pick this one up when it releases in June. You will not regret it!

Low lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest with her parents and brothers. Her parents "love" others and two women even live on the parent's farm. Making friends is not something Low is especially good at doing. This, until one day when Freya walks into Low's senior high school with Pottery Class invites. (At $100 for 10 sessions). Low takes an interest immediately to Freya.

Low is the only person in the pottery class. She already feels a "soul connection" with Freya. Freya is 7 years older than Low and is married to an ex-pro hockey player. Freya and Low share a lot about their past and present lives.

Jamie and her husband, Brian, move to the island and set up an expensive trinket shop. As Freya becomes friendly with Jamie, Low becomes very jealous. Managing to get a job for the summer with Jamie (at Freya's recommendation) Low keeps track of Freya and Jamie's relationship.

Maybe we need to be even more interested in Jamie and Freya's get-togethers...

Lots of suspense and a quick read. After reading The Party, I knew this story would be a winner as well! Happy Reading!

Many Thanks to Gallery/Scout Press and NetGalley for a great opportunity to read and review this book!

When Low, an awkward, lonely teenager, begins taking pottery lessons from an Freya, an unhealthy obsession begins. With no friends of her own, Low is excited to form a sort of friendship with the also lonely adult women. But, when Freya meets Jamie and a friendship blossoms quickly, Low becomes jealous... really jealous. But this is just the beginning. What happens next will change everything. Freya suggests swapping partners during a night of getting high. This sets in motion a series of twists and turns that will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

I absolutely loved this thriller. I read it in one evening because I had to see how it all ended, and I wasn’t disappointed. I can imagine this being turned into a movie or Netflix series. Highly recommend! 5+++ stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When I saw the author has another book after The Party, I couldn't wait to read it. The Swap was just as good. I'm anxious to talk about it but know I have to wait. Twisted plot with unlikable and unreliable characters. Yum.

Harding's novels are fast-paced, original, and edgy and The Swap is no exception. Teenager Low is bewitched by local potter Freya in this obsessive, sexy thriller that keeps you guessing until the end. Full of drama and secrets!

I always hyperventilate a little when I start one of Robyn Harding's books as I know I'll be captivated from the beginning! And this one draws you in from the first chapter as we meet Low, a seventeen-year-old misfit who has a most unconventional family life. When the talented potter Freya befriends her and begins lessons for her, Low is bewitched by her wealthy, beautiful friend and her athlete husband. She is so sure they are best friends even though the woman is an adult that when Freya mentions she is meeting another friend for dinner, Low is immediately jealous and determined to come between them. What follows is a crazy couples' "swap" after magic mushrooms, and the plot thickens until things spin out of control! But who is actually IN control and who is being played? Major twists and turns until the shocking conclusion. Just plan on shirking any responsibilities until you've finished this on as it sucks you in and doesn't let go!

Robyn Harding has done it again in this gripping thriller. Low, a lonely teen takes interest in Freya, a pottery teacher.

Told in alternate POV’s between Freya, Low and Jaime, another friend of Freya’s.
Low and Jaime compete for Freya’s attention.
The big question- who is Freya really, and why is she so cagey.

This was a page turner. Once you read it, you won’t be able to put it down!

5 plus stars! Absolutely unputdownable! So original, so fun, and so chilling! Harding is one of those thriller writers that knows how to write a thriller with exact precision, it will leave you gasping, from holding breath, and covered in chills! I’ve not yet read THE PARTY, but will start it soon, because after reading THE SWAP I can’t even say which is my favorite since all are so original, chilling, thrilling, and shocking! Prepare for whiplash, as you read this tantalizing tale of deception! Beware, most are not worth trusting, but you’ll soon find out just which one is the most devious is all, if there’s a way to really tell? Highly, highly recommend!
Will make sure I buzz it up on all the different platforms!
