10 wonderful stars! MAM takes us back to the beloved Primrose Cottage with all the characters we grew to love over the years. So much love and emotion and coming off age and new beginnings. And the turtles!!! So many lessons to learn in this book about plastic and dangers to the turtles. I could really feel Lovie in this book; smiling down on her beloved family. There is even an appearance of a friend from Sea Breeze from other novels. This is MAM at her best. I give it a standing ovation. I sat my Kindle down after the last page with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. Thanks to Gallery Books for offering me the Netgalley ARC.

ON OCEAN BOULEVARD is another winner from Mary Alice Monroe. Reaching across generations, the story reunites us with the Rutledge family and all their ups and downs. I especially enjoyed seeing Cara's strength and Palmer's rehabilitation. The family's ordeals feel realistic and help the reader care about them. I enjoyed how the various story threads resolved. The turtle story line and information tidbits add a dose of charm. You don't need to have read Monroe's other books to enjoy this one, but because of the characters who reappear, reading the rest of the books might deepen your enjoyment of ON OCEAN BOULEVARD.

On Ocean Boulevard by Mary Alice Monroe.  Mary Alice Monroe never disappoints. On Ocean Boulevard is like visiting home after being away too long. All the familiar characters and a few new ones to draw you in as the next generation starts coming into their own.  You will enjoy this visit to the islands around Charleston just for the turtle history and great beach descriptions.

This book allows us to visit with the Rutledge family again. I felt like I was sitting down with a glass of wine and catching up with old friends! Cara is a force to be reckoned with just like her Grandmother, Lovie was and Palmer has beat his demons and is a remarkable man. It was also nice to see how well Toy is doing and to get to know Linnea. I did not want the book to end and I read it in one sitting!

Another great book for the beach! The Rutledge family saga continues with all the characters I love. Cara is engaged and her niece comes home from California. A great romance with lots of stuff happening!

On Ocean Boulevard by Mary Alice Munro is a very good novel that takes place in South Carolina near the ocean. It follows three generations of women from one family. The trials and tribulations of this family are dealt with in this novel. There was also the topic of helping turtles by a group of citizens called The Turtle Team. At the beginning of each chapter there is a paragraph explaining something about turtles. I learned quite a bit! You will love the characters in this novel. The author deals with real life problems such as Alzheimer’s, romantic breakups, substance abuse and even the topic of the importance of vaccinations. This novel was a satisfying and easy read. I received this novel from the publisher and netgalley for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. I’m hoping this author writes a sequel. I want to read more about these characters.

Thank you to Gallery Books and Net Galley for the advance of this title in exchange for my honest review. Mary Alice Monroe has written about this Charleston family several times, and each time another member is the featured character. We've followed through a few generations, but each book easily stands on its own. I realized, a few chapters in, that I'd missed this family, and I loved catching up with them. The chapter notes at the beginning of each chapter, giving us a bit of information about sea turtles, or the environment, are also something to look forward to. This book reaches across generations and the characters are not only well developed, but they grow as the year's pass. I highly recommend any of this series, and this is another welcome addition.

On Ocean Boulevard by author Mary Alice Monroe highlights the second chance at love and a new marriage for Cara Rutledge. This book can easily be read as a stand-alone novel, but fans of the generations of Rutledge Family drama will enjoy reading about much loved characters. Several events are happening on Sullivan's Island during this season. Most of the book is about life situations as the generations age and grow. Emmi is helping Cara to finalize her wedding plans, Linnea returns with a broken spirit and questions about her future, and the current turtle team seems to be stronger than ever. Most of the story is focused on Cara as she gets ready for her wedding. The trip to Kleinfield's in New York for Cara to "Say Yes to the Dress" is magical! Family bonds for Linnea with her father and mother come full circle for an acceptance of past problems and a new direction for Julia. It is sad to visit with Flo and learn of how tenuous living has become for her during this age in her life. Poor little Hope has an unexpected crisis and brings Cara and David to the brink of break-up.
The reader will recognize names of a few characters from other series and will meet new friends as an ever expanding community. The book content has a bit of character background and turtle nesting review as in other books in this series.

The next installment set in Charleston’s low country filled with characters old, that we love, and new characters, who add to the story. Monroe creates interesting, strong female characters who care about family, love, the environment, and making the world a better place. I always look forward to meeting “old friends” and seeing what will happen next in their always interesting, never dull lives. I’m always delighted to read her books.

What a beautiful story! The family dynamics, the love, pain...all of it. Character development is perfect, I felt like I knew each character personally. I will be searching for more from this author.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this ARC.

I was so delighted to find out another "Beach House" book was being published and even more delighted to be able to read it early!

This latest chapter picks up about 2 years after the last novel "Beach House Memories" left off and is told from the alternating viewpoints of Cara and Linnea.

Cara is planning her wedding for the end of the summer while trying to figure out how to harmoniously intertwine her new relationship, her daughter and the love she has for the beach house. Throughout the course of the summer, she begins to realize that home isn't necessarily a place but a state of mind.

Meanwhile Linnea is trying to figure out what home means to her when she unexpectedly lands back at the beach in her parents home. Feeling like she's starting all over again she sets out to mend her heart and make a home in a place she's never called home before.

The novel has old friends and new sprinkled throughout from not only the Beach House series but also from the Lowcountry series as well.

This was a wonderful addition to the series and I selfishly hope that we get to read more someday! If you loved the rest of the Beach House series you'll be enchanted with this one as well.

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for an eARC copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Love the ongoing story...and always the extras about the turtles. I especially appreciated all the side information about our oxeams and microplastics...
It has given me the inspiration to a better conservationist too!! Going to work hard to eliminate my use of single use plastics. Kudos to the author for including this into her fun story.

This book is a return to the Beach House series, and like all the other books in this series, it is easily read as a stand alone. We follow the lives of Cara Rutledge and her niece Linnea as they face changes in balancing career, family and finding their place in life. Relationship break ups, and family issues such as finance and alcoholism that many face are also explored. They continue to work with the "Turtle Team" , the SC Aquarium, and conservation efforts. The jacket cover gives a great description so no need for a 'book report' from me.

There is a wealth of information about the loggerhead turtle and it's habits as well as current issues with plastics in our seas. It increases awareness of environmental changes and will inspire you to take note.

You will be transported to the SC coastline and can almost feel the breezes and see the sunrise and sunset with her vivid descriptions. Their life experiences are relatable and you will enjoy your time with the Rutledge family and want to stay for an extended visit! . Great beach or anytime read!I

I received this book as a complimentary copy for an unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own..

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

On Ocean Boulevard. Mary Alice Monroe returns to her readers’ beloved lowcountry location to continue the story of Cara Rutledge, her fiancé David, adopted daughter Hope, niece Linnea, old friends, the loggerheads, and the impact of plastic waste on our environment. The educational aspect of the story is never preachy or political. As she did when she brought readers into the precarious life cycle of the turtles, Ms. Monroe presents her information informally through the words and actions of her characters. Over the course of the Beach House novels, series readers have come to feel a real kinship with these characters. They have become societal mirrors showing us triumphs, failures, strengths and weaknesses. It is a wonderful read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

Five stars and if I could I'd give it ten! Mary Alice Monroe never disappoints, and her stories about the Rutledge family are my favorites. Already waiting for the next one.

I was thrilled to see that Monroe has returned to the Beach House and Cara Rutledge’s story. It’s probably my favorite of all her storylines. And while Cara is in the story, there are other family members with stories to share as well. Including that of Cara’s niece Linnea and the young woman’s parents who want to build a new house on the island. There is also a tragedy awaiting the family, one they must face together to overcome. Monroe writes books about South Carolina that are so detailed, so life-like, that I can feel the sun and wind and smell the ocean. And the turtles! I swear those sea turtles are my favorite part of these stories
