A thorough overview on using cannabis as medicin, covering how to process cannabis for medicine yourself, finding the right dosage, and understanding how the endocannabinoid system affects the body generally and how it can help treat individual illnesses.
I really appreciated the author including all the science, but even if you aren't science savvy you can skip those parts and still get a whole lot out of this book.
Highly recommended for those interested in the use of medical cannabis.

The depth of information can be overwhelming. There is extensive information on the chemistry of cannabis and it’s interaction with the neurological system. This written with the medical details but with an herbalist’s perspective. An excellent and thorough look at cannabis interacts with the various organs and systems in the human body.

The detailed chemical and neurolo-biology was Over my head but still informative and gives a sense of the complexity of cannabis and the body.

I was looking forward to reading an in depth guide to the whole scenario of using cannabis in today's climate but this book had me lost before half way through.. While very informative and detailed it had too much information and detail if that is possible. It was very uncomfortable to read and Im afraid I had to give up half way through.

*Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a free eARC in exchange for an honest review.*

If you are interested in cannabis or have questions, read this book. If you think cannabis is a fad, read this book. If you want to know how to grow, harvest, and make your own medicine with cannabis, read this book. If you're wondering if there is any scientific validity to cannabis, read this book. If you want to know more about the endocannabinoid system (or don't know what that is in the first place) read this book.

This is a treasure trove of information. I highlighted whole pages, people. The author goes into incredible depth and provides studies to back her statements so you can go to the source and read it yourself. I was expecting a casual read, but this was a science and herbalism lesson. It's dense, but I raced through it.

I will definitely be buying this when it's published to have on my personal shelf for reference.

Great information that may or may not get lost in the delivery. The author knows what she’s talking about from a scientific standpoint but I fear the “wholistic” way that it is presented comes off a little too “stoned hippie”. It was hard to tell which audience the Sweet is aiming for for that reason.

Very educational and important book. One I’ll use again and again for reference. Having both a husband and sister, one with ptsd and the other a tbi from a motorcycle accident, who could benefit from the use of cannabis to help their brains, this book was insightful. My sister can use it, my husband can’t, and it’s frustrating to know books show how important it can be for healing, but some can’t partake because of the current federal regulations. Hoping more and more books about this pop up, as I think it’s a much needed topic to be discussed!
Will make sure I not only buzz it up, but recommend it!
