Molly can't forgive herself for accidentally killing her youngest daughter. Neither can the rest of her family. Her husband is distant and has been cheating on her. Her daughter is rebellious and constantly throws her Molly's mistake up to her. And her son avoids her like the plague. She's feeling hopeless, lost in grief and worthless to her family. Then one dark, stormy night Molly disappears.
Did she decide to willingly leave her family behind, thinking they would have a better life without her? Did the weight of her guilt consume her to the point of no return? Or did something much more nefarious happen to Molly?
This was a well crafted, twisty story. Once I started reading, I couldn't put the book down. I had to know what would happen next! Additionally, the emotional responses of all the characters was very believable.

This asks a very important question...If Everything points in one direction. all the "Evidence", etc. would your family...your daughter know and believe it was all false...
This tale was set up perfectly for the reader to not have a lovely night's sleep. Instead, the reader would want to read this through the night into the morning to get to the end. I know I did.
Finally! A good thriller and suspenseful book! Very good characters and tense storyline that keep you guessing until the end. Would highly recommend reading this book.
An absolute page turner! Stayed up reading all night, what a great book! A burdened Mother driving home from her college aged son's football game, goes missing during a storm. Did she leave her surviving daughter, her son, her husband, or did something else happen to her, if so, why, and who? You won't stop until you know the answers, overcoming adversity, living life to the fullest is the moral of this poignant story!
I highly recommend! Thank you Netgalley!

This was a gripping, terrifying, sad and hopeful story. You can never tell the family dynamics from looking from the outside
Excellent book. I enjoy Wendy’s style of writing. Is he really trying to get in touch with someone to help her. When she becomes friends with the little girl maybe she will help her get free. It wasn’t until her daughter put herself aside that she knew something wasn’t right
Wendy Walker is fast becoming a favorite of mine. This latest work is exceptionally good. It had me on the edge of my seat, needing to know what happened. Many thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
Wow! Creepy fantastic thriller, I could not put this book down. Molly has endured more than her share of tragedy, including the death of her own daughter when she was at the wheel of her car. As depression and blame from the rest of her family sets in, Molly drives off one night not realizing that it will change the rest of her life. While she isn’t really planning to leave her family, the choice may be taken out of her hands as she meets up with a horrible man that night during a storm when she has run out of gas. Scary as hell, edge of your seat ride with lots of twists and turns. Highly recommend.
I’m going to jump on the Wendy Walker bandwagon with all my fellow 5 star reviewers for this one. This was outstanding. Walker writes a smart, sophisticated thriller captivating readers on each and every page from start to finish. I thought that I had the twist figured out but, oh no, there was more coming! The alternating viewpoints and well-articulated characters drew me inside their minds. In particular, the character Alice was brilliant addition. Her interactions elevated this to a whole new level. Congratulations Wendy Walker on another huge success!
I liked the story behind this. Molly is depressed as she has been hit with heartache and guilt from her actions (which were by mistake) and then within her household even more. How easy would it be to just disappear and cast all your worries and heartache to the side? Well, that is what Molly's family thinks happened though as the story unfolds it seems that this is even more sinister than that. When her daughter who decides not to give up goes searching for her she will uncover so much. Yet, at the same time learn really just how strong she is even though she has given up on herself.
There was one part with Molly that truly broke my heart and it was when she was meeting her son off the field as he was going I believe into the locker room. It was the way he dismissed her even though she drove a bit to see him play, she did not have to but she wanted to. And the way he treated her just broke my heart because that is something that no mother wants from her child. Molly is a survivor and you can tell in how she learns to handle her captive and the little girl who is also captive. I liked that Molly did not give up and just said whatever it is what it is. The author did a great job of not rushing the timeline from start to finish along with the way she built the mystery around the characters. I had no clue who was the bad guy until her daughter had the haha moment and started putting two and two together. Drama, tension, mystery, crazy people all rolled into a good story.
Wendy Walker has done it again with this 'can't put it down' page turner. Another psychological thriller with the pace that keeps your heart beating faster. Where is Molly? Would she really leave her family? Do they really blame her for Annie's death? The setting is one that when I closed my eyes, I could see it all. And it's clever how Wendy tells the story from both Molly and her daughter Nic's living it.
Don't Look For Me doesn't let you down. From the first page till the last, Wendy keeps you in such suspense. This is another big win for Wendy Walker.
Thank you Wendy Walker, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley.
Don't Look for Me had all the characteristics to make an incredible, fast paced, edge of your seat ride throughout the entire story. The only reason I did not rate as five stars is the ending felt convoluted and was somewhat of a let down after enjoying the pace of the story leading to the end. Overall, I enjoyed and would recommend to any reader that enjoys thrillers!

Molly Clarke is doesn’t make it home after her son’s football game. She is assumed to have just “walked away” from her life. Molly’s daughter, Nic, is determined to find her.
When I started this story I thought I knew where it was going. I was very mistaken. Nothing is what it seems. This book was hard to put down and I became invested in the outcome within the first 2 chapters. I will definitely recommend this book.
Thank you Netgalley for allowing me the opportunity to read this book.
A creepy, fast-paced, and suspenseful thriller from Wendy Walker! This novel was an exceptional read. I thoroughly enjoyed the alternating narrators and timelines, they were smoothly written by Walker and helped build the suspense. This book is a sure hit with twists I never saw coming.
When was the last time that you read a thriller, couldn’t guess anything, and were genuinely surprised until the very end? For me, it was yesterday when I finished Don’t Look For Me. I started this at 10pm, stayed up reading until 2am, and then finished in an hour once I woke up. It was un-putdownable. What a wild ride this book was. I was suspicious of every character at some point in the book. There’s two big twists, neither of which I saw coming (which I love). This book is now a “compare to” book. When I read and recommend other thrillers, it will be “read if you liked Don’t Look For Me”.
I rounded up a little for this one, after not loving the previous Wendy Walker arcs I’d received previously.
This one fixed all the issues I had with the previous one. She really likes the altering perspectives and it didn’t work for me the first time but this time, I felt like both characters were equally explored, and you learn of them from how the alternate character sees them too, which helps.
The mystery itself was pretty solid. I was suspicious of most of the characters but in the end, I guessed wrong. There was also an unexpected twist I did not see coming at all.
This wasn’t just a fun thriller, it had a tough family drama going for it. I think that helped make it stand out.

Wendy Walker is hands down one of my favorite authors. I have read all of her books and have loved them every single one of them. After reading Don’t Look For Me; I stand by that statement. This one doesn’t disappoint!!
Molly is married to John and has two children; Nicole (Nic) and Evan. Five years ago, Molly accidentally hit her youngest child Annie with her car in a tragic accident. Since then, Molly’s relationship with her family has suffered. Molly feels like she is a burden to her family and that they no longer love her. One day, Molly drives 4 hours to watch her son Evan play football at a boarding school. On her way home, she gets caught in a hurricane and stops to buy gas; but the gas station is closed. However, a man and his young daughter driving a truck come to her rescue. They offer Molly a place to stay for the night and promise to take her back for gas the following day. Big mistake!!! The man holds Molly captive.
Molly’s family offers a reward for her mother’s safe return. Her daughter, Nic receives a phone call with information about her mother. Nic decides to go to the small town of Hastings where her mother was last seen and play investigator. Nic forms relationships with several men in the town of Hastings as she searches for her mother.
The chapters in this book alternate from Molly to Nic as they each tell their stories. Molly is trying to stay alive and Nic is trying to save her mother. Each chapter leaves you with wanting to know what happens next. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! There is a big twist at the end of this book that literally made my jaw drop. This is a quick read because you cannot put this book down! If you like psychological thrillers and suspense; this book is for you!!
Don’t Look For Me earns 5 stars. It will be released on September 15, 2020.
This was the perfect suspenseful read, and I couldn’t put it down!
While many secondary characters often play a minimal role in stories, I really liked that everyone in “Don’t Look For Me” played a pivotal role. Wendy Walker did a phenomenal job with the character development and kept me in the dark as far as who was behind Molly Clarke’s disappearance. For a while I thought I had it figured out, but I was so pleased when I realized just how wrong I was. Well done!
I truly enjoyed reading this story and I look forward to reading more from Wendy Walker. Highly recommend!

WOW! What a fabulous, keeps you guessing, on the edge of your seat, nail biting suspense story this turned out to be! I just cannot imagine how Wendy Walker comes up with this type of story!! I was thoroughly entertained and engaged in this entire book from the minute I started reading and could not get enough! The plot twists and turns are masterfully created and I would never see them coming when they arrived. If you want an entertaining story, this is a must for any list. It is compelling in a way that you just cannot imagine until you read the book. I recommend and support this to the fullest!
Well done Wendy Walker! Her best novel yet. It was such a great thriller with twists, one of which I could have never seen coming in a million years. I was ambivalent towards her books The Night Before and Emma in the Night, and hated All is not forgotten. But this book has totally 100 percent redeemed her.
