This has been my sons favorite book for weeks. We love it. Hilarious, interesting, and easy to learn. Could not recommend it more.

This is a cute little book about the alphabet. I’m definitely going to order this one for my library!

This book is bunny-funny. It will have the whole family crying with laughter at the alphabet entries. I loved the concept, the entries and the illustrations. It never gets boring or repetitive which is no mean feat! Hannah has thought up ingenious ways to include the rabbits and also to keep Owl hooting with outrage. This quirky book is well worth a read!

This is part of a larger review on my blog. I am very grateful to the publisher for providing me with an advanced digital copy via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

I will never be too old for picture books. There are so many charming, captivating titles to discover, and the feelings I undergo when I encounter a delightful one cannot be replaced. In the span of a few pages, I can experience true feelings of laughter, sadness, and growth.

The premise of A Is for Another Rabbit amused me. This pretends its aim is to be a typical alphabet book, but that is not to be (and the title offers readers a more reasonable expectation for the pages). Instead, every page will try to manipulate the alphabet into a phrase that is better suited to rabbit appreciation. It might start out innocently enough, and some letters fall in line: B is for Bunny, H is for Hare. But the rabbit stretches the tolerance of the studious owl sidekick ("C is for Can you believe how many rabbits are on this page?")

The owl grows increasingly exasperated as the rabbit refuses to bow to convention, and the book becomes increasingly ridiculous. The illustrations are a treasure, as well, and pair well with the words and tone of the book.

I found myself grinning as I read these pages, and I imagine preschool-aged children and above would be the ones most likely to connect and share the amusement, whereas younger children, not yet familiar with the trope of alphabet books, wouldn't pick up on the humor and cleverness quite the same way.

(I received a digital ARC from Lerner Publishing Group via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.)

It’s nice book about an owl who wants to write a proper ABC book but gets hijacked by rabbits. It’s funny and also it would teach the kids new words as the rabbits get really creative throughout the alphabet.. The illustrations are cute.

What an absolutely fun read. Who knew that every letter of the alphabet could be related to rabbits. This would be a fantastic read for a group of young kiddos. They'd have so much fun counting and keeping track of all of these rabbits.

As a grandmother and a reading teacher I have read and enjoyed a number of alphabet books but none as much as this one. It makes learning letter sounds fun. In A is for Another Rabbit none of the letters are paired with the words you would predict.. The words that are used over and over in alphabet books. Right from the start we learn that a is for "a rabbit". From there the reader eagerly turns the page to see what the rabbit will say next. His friend, Mr. Owl, objects immediately and tries to get the rabbit back on track, It doesn't work, however. The storyteller continues to build on her story using words that make sense in the adventures of rabbit. Many of the words are put together in alliteration.

An entertaining entry in the often monotonous and boring category of ABC picture books. The illustrations were great and filled with lots of pop culture references adults will appreciate. This picture book kept my 4 year old son captivated, especially since rabbits are his favorite animal.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

Thanks to NetGalley and Lerner Publishing Group for providing me with a free copy of this book in return for an honest review. Loved this book! All my kids are grown and I have no grandchildren, so I read this to my dog as he sits on my lap. A fun concept of Mr. Owl teaching us the Alphabet and his attempts being hijacked by a rabbit who turns every letter into rabbit/bunny/kit or trait. Loved the illustrations and is definitely a book that I will reread myself and to my dog, who also appeared to have loved the book! Great job Hannah Batsel, loved your passion for rabbits and how you turned a simple A-B-C alphabet book into a fun reading experience!

This book is hilarious!! I absolutely loved this one. I saw a review in Kirkus of this and it caught my attention. I will definitely be purchasing this for my elementary library AND using it as a read aloud. The younger students will be giggling a ton.

This is such a clever and cute story. So many rabbits and the poor owl who has to deal with the total destruction of his idea of a normally written alphabet book. This book is a lot of fun, and I plan on sharing my advance copy with my second grade students! Thanks to #netgalley for the advance copy!

As I’m on here looking at the children’s options for books to my son, I saw this one come up. He’s only 4 and a half months old. But I do love reading to him and this one was very cute. Can’t wait to find more.

I loved this book! Such a fun and delightful alphabet book. It's silly and non-traditional, but still throws in a lot of great vocab for each letter... even though every letter only talks about rabbits!

This was a cute debut picture book. It was a fun twist on an animal alphabet book and I loved how increasingly fun and weird the adjectives that the rabbits used got!

This was a fun picture book with a different take on the "A is for" alphabet. I love how frazzled the rabbits manage to make the owl. This would be a great book to read with small children and you get to build their vocabulary with some interesting words.

This book was an adorable story about rabbits. The vocabulary words in this book were a fantastic way to grow while we read. These illustrations added to the reading experience. This book will be great for all kids and parents to read together.

I really didn’t get the point of the book. The illustrations are cute, but I don’t think there is a real point of the book.

A is for Another Rabbit is the most adorable children's alphabet book that I have ever read! It is fun and engaging. While it is focused on rabbits, it also works through vocabulary words that precocious little readers will imitate with humor.

What a fantastic book!
The illustrations are amusing in themselves, but the slightly sassy bunnies make it even better.
Do yourself a favour and pick this up for the tiny humans in your life (or just for yourself).
Much love to NetGalley and Lerner Publishing Group for my DRC.

As the owner of an adorable and mischievous rabbit, I proudly support the message that this book brings: Rabbits are awesome.

Owl with a briefcase (no name is given for this character) is a firm believer in following appropriate “A is for …” rules, such as ‘apple’ or ‘astronaut’. But no matter how hard he tries Owl can’t convince the narrator of the alphabet to stay on task. Letter after letter the narrator finishes the sentence with a phrase related to rabbits. Rabbits. Rabbits. Rabbits. What really makes this book fun is the end of the sentence doesn’t always end quickly, but instead becomes a long, rambling sentence about rabbits. Other times there isn’t a sentence at all, but a question instead (about rabbits, of course).

Poor Owl, the more tries to get the narrator to perform the alphabet correctly, the more he fails. The more he fails to navigate the alphabet back to something normal the more exhausted and worn out he gets. The pictures really bring this to life as we get the visual image of how dizzy he’s feeling on the inside. Not to mention that the rabbits leap off every page increasing in number as the book goes on.

Overall, I think young kids will really get a good laugh out of the book while learning the alphabet. The pictures are fun and there is a lot of activity within the pictures with a lot of “look at what that one is doing” opportunities.
