Cute book that mixes inspirational and humorous quotes for teachers. This book would make a sweet teacher gift, but it is very similar to others like it - certainly not a standout in the “for teachers” book category.
This was quite an entertaining book highlighting the many amusing things that can happen in the classroom. This would make a great gift for a teacher.
Thank you to Jenn Larson, Net Galley and Adams Media for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Love this book and have to say I found myself laughing at points. This would be a perfect gift for a teacher.
This book is exactly what I needed to read right now- especially with COVID-19 and having to teach my students through e-learning. I cannot count how many times I laughed while reading the different quotes and sayings throughout this book. I cannot wait to get a copy of this book to put in my classroom!
What a lovely book! I was drawn to it as I’m a teacher and I wasn’t disappointed. The quotes and thoughts in this book range from funny, to inspirational and they all encapsulate the life of a teacher! This would be perfect to give as a gift to the teacher in your life or to put in the staffroom.
Thank you to netgalley, the publishers and the author for gifting me a copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
This is a quick and short read reflecting on a teacher’s daily life. I do think this book would make a cute gift for fellow teachers, and I’m wondering how the text would format in the true hard print. I was wishing for some more personal insight from the wisened teacher besides common cliches, or maybe funny anecdotal stories mixed in with the reflections.
As a teacher myself I was immediately drawn by the title of this book. All the quotes found on this book can be so relatable on so many levels. But most importantly they really depict what it means to be teacher . They range from funny things that happen everyday in our classrooms and even motivation quotes that can really help some us keep up with the work. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, from a teacher that's looking for a laugh, to a student that wants to understand how teachers work/think or really anyone that has had a teacher in their lives.
This book was written by someone who has certainly lived the life of a teacher. The anecdotes and quotes were relateable as a teacher. Cute short read.
This was a sweet book that was totally relatable to me. I'm in my 21st year of teaching middle school music and I laughed at many of the pages in this book. Many times when I read books written to celebrate the classroom or education, it is really obvious that the person has not really been in a classroom for many years; not so for this book. Thanks for a great read!
As a middle school teacher, I related to this book in a big way! Larson gives teacher facts, strange things that teachers find themselves saying, quotes, and more about teachers and what it takes to be a teacher. I laughed out loud many times while reading this book and now that I’m trying to figure out how to teach online, I know I will return to this book for some joy many times.
This book is a collection of quotes and short anecdotes about teaching. When I requested this book and started reading it was not at all what I thought it would be! I expected short stories about teaching. This book provided something way lighter and relatable. It was a very fun read. As a teacher, I found myself laughing and smiling, nodding and saying, "yes, that's me!". It brought a smile to my face and made me feel so much better that there were so many other educators in the same boat as I am. This really is a feel-good book that can be referred to at any time, I found myself wanting to share it with all of my teacher friends. I think it would be great to post on certain days to spark conversations or relationships, to make teachers feel better about themselves and the jobs they are doing. Loved it!
Inspiring for teachers. Sometimes the only way you can survive the stress of teaching is just to laugh out loud so you won't cry. This book will help that!
I understand the formatting on ARCs isn't always the best, but this one was really difficult to read. I thought it was spot on for teachers and their lives. This would make a great gift book for your favorite teacher.
This was such a great inspirational and funny little book with so many great quotations. I related to a lot of it and really enjoyed it.
It would be the perfect little gift for a teacher and will definitely give them a good laugh.
*Thank you to the publisher for giving me a free copy of this book for an honest review.
This book described me to a tee. As a fellow teacher, I understood everything that Jenn described about the classroom and its pupils. Her descriptions give a humorous insight as to how a teacher feels about various aspects of their job. I know what it’s like to spend far too much money on stationary. I also know how good it feels when your pupils succeed. So, if you know a teacher who needs a reminder of why they are in this job, then this book will definitely do the job.
This book is the perfect gift for any teacher in your life. A book made of quotes with cute fonts and images that honestly, teachers will truly understand to the (common) core. Highly recommend !
This book was an easy read but it was just a book of quotes. It felt like I was scrolling through an Instagram feed of educational quotes and funny phrases. Cute, but didn’t need to be made into a book.
Thank you Netgalley and publishers for an ARC. All opinions are my own.
This book is FABULOUS!! To be a teacher is act of devotion and in this day in age, often underappreciated. This book is full of encouragement, fun quotes, and inspiring antidotes. I almost highlighted three WHOLE book!
This makes for a great teacher gift or encouragement to those who have a passion for teaching!
Thank you Net Galley for the free ARC. Yes,yes and one more yes! This short book wraps up my teaching career in many short and wise sayings. From going to the bathroom to grading, from spending my money on cutsie things to ridiculous misbehavior in the classroom. This will get me through to Spring Break.
