The creator of this book chose to do so because they wanted to see families that were like theirs. There are so many families, not just ones in the LGBTQ community. The drawings are simple and fun. I love that it is just everyday families doing everyday stuff. They are playing video games, cooking, going on walks. I love everything about this book.
