I was lucky enough to receive early access to this book prior to its release date on July 14th 2020.
How To Save A Life is an interesting read. It’s a tried and tested concept; essentially a retelling of Groundhog Day in a modern setting.
I enjoyed the book more as I progressed through the pages. I started off not really rating it at all; the first half is slow paced with unnecessary descriptives, but as the story progresses I finally found I was routing for Dom and eager to see how it all turned out. Although the ending is predictable in a broader sense, I actually really liked it, which is rare for me!
It’s clichéd in places, and there were a few continuity errors which irked me (perhaps because there are two authors?) and even though I was routing for Dom towards the end, I didn’t really like any of the main characters. With that said, the authors deserve a lot of credit for their writing, particularly in how the expressed Dom’s emotions of loss and grief.

I am so sad that it took me so long to read this! Beautiful story with a powerful message. Lisa and Liz can do no wrong in my book!

Sadly this book just was not for me. This sat on my kindle for quite some time - twice I have attempted to read and twice I did not finish.

Thankyou for the opportunity but I will not be providing feedback on any commercial sites for this book.

This book was just okay for me. I appreciate what the authors were trying to do here but the ending fell flat.

Final Destination meets Groundhog Day. For me, this one wasn't my favorite. Liz and Lisa are still on my favorites list, this book just wasn't for me!

I gave this a two out of five star rating. It was boring a lot and interesting a little bit. It was disappointing.

Dominic is a producer for a news station in San Diego who gets more than he bargained for when meeting a lead on a story. While waiting, his ex fiancé walks into the coffee shop, seeing him for the first time in 10 years. They chat, and organize a date - which is going perfectly, until tragedy strikes.

Something forces Dominic into a time loop, causing him to relive this terrible end on repeat.

I really enjoyed this book! It did not feel repetitive, and kept me wondering how it would end!

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

An interesting spin on the Groundhog's Day structure with character you want to root for and a lot of heart!

First of all a big thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publishers for sending me a copy of this book to read and review.

This book was super interesting and I loved the idea of the Groundhog Day trope. I thought the relationship between Dom and Mia was well written and I thought the ending was perfect. I loved the idea that we get a second chance to try and make things right.

I really like Liz & Lisa's books! This one with a Groundhog Day twist felt so refreshing. It's definitely unique and I think a variety of readers will like this one.

I did enjoy the writing style. The story flowed well and was well-written, and I think the authors did a good job executing the premise. Unfortunately, I just wasn't particularly invested in most of the characters - Amanda and Chuck were the only two I liked - or the romance.

Dom is having a really bad day that he can’t escape. When he connects with his ex-fiancée that he hasn’t seen in 10 years he thinks this is his opportunity at a second chance with her and asks her out on a date. After she tragically dies on their first date he makes a wish that he would do anything to save her life and have another chance at that day and that he does, he begins to relive that day over and over. Dom becomes obsessed with trying to work out what needs to change in order for Mia to live and he vows he will watch her die over and over for the chance to save her life.

Let me start by saying time loop is normally one of my least favourites however when so many people were talking about this one I knew I had to pick it up and I’m so glad I did. My view on this has completely changed as it was unlike anything I’ve read before. It was like a heartbreaking, tear-jerking version of Groundhog Day.

I absolutely adored this story and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys time loop. It is one I know will stay with me for a long time, such a special and unique story. The authors have are truly talented and I’m looking forward to read their other novels.

I want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for generously providing me with this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you for this arc copy of this book. It wasn't; my type of book but others may like it. I did enjoy the cover picture though.

hat a lesson in retrospect! Dom is stuck in a Groundhog Day with a twist of romance and desperately trying to save so many people that he forgets to look in the mirror! A unique love story from this dynamic writing duo!

This book had an interesting premise and I was really excited to read it. Thankfully, I wasn’t disappointed. A heartbreaking, beautiful read, with well written, believable characters and the right of amount of pacing and action to keep you turning the pages.

I am a SUCKER for a Groundhog Day/time loop story. Especially in novel form, give them alllll to me. I was super excited to get to read this early, especially because I somehow had never read a Liz and Lisa book before!!!

Dom called off his engagement to Mia ten years ago and has regretted it ever since. After a chance encounter, they agree to go on a date, which ends in tragedy when Mia dies. Dom is devastated, and then confused when he wakes up the next day, which happens to be yesterday…again.

What follows is a heart-wrenching story with questions surrounding love, second chances, and fate. This book tugged at my heart-strings but there were a few moments that felt overly-saccharine, even for me. Still, it was so interesting to read how Dom dealt with each repeating day and the ending was…well, you’ll just have to read the book to find that out.

The beginning was great; the end was great, but everything between was tedious and repetitive. I know that this was a new take on Groundhog's Day, but the middle of the story dragged on a little for me. I did enjoy the fact that this book was written from the Male's (Dom) point of view. That is a rare find in a romance! One last thing, this books really makes you think and leaves you wondering "what if".

Such a cute story. My first from this writing duo that makes me want to look up other books they have co-written together!

A huge thank you to NetGalley, Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke and Lake Union Publishing for providing me with a copy of this publication, which allows me to provide you with an unbiased review.

I'm not a huge fan of "Groundhog's Day" stories so this one was just okay for me. It had a fun plot, but predictable ending.
