Oh, boy! When the cat is away, the mice will play. In this case, Mom decides to take the girls (Lori, Leni, Lynn, Luna, Luan, Lola, Lana, Lucy, Lisa, and Lily) out for a day of shopping at the flea market. This leaves Lincoln and his Dad at the office all alone. Well, what do you do when you ‘think’ you have the house to yourself? You plan some time with your buddies. Unfortunately, now Lincoln and Dad both have friends over, and now things are not so perfect after all. On the other hand, Mom and the girls are experiencing their own set of snafus. Needless to say, this is a fun, silly plot that will make you laugh at the antics of all. It is a great read, and the graphics are colorful and eye-catching. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.
'The Loud House #9: When the Girls are Away..." by The Loud House Creative Team is a graphic novel about a large family and a storyline that works better than some I've seen in the series.
Mom takes all of Lincoln's sister off to learn to haggle at the flea market so Lincoln and Dad are left in the house. Both think this is the perfect time to play games with their friends: Lincoln has a video game, and Dad has a role playing adventure with a strange pork theme. Of course, things don't go perfectly.
Meanwhile, mom and the girls are having their own adventures with parking, finding treasures rare and spooky, and the search for fleas.
It's a bunch of silly fun, and a plot that works as a whole. Everyone gets a chance to shine, although Lincoln and Dad do get more page time. The art is fun.
I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Papercutz and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.
This book brought back long lost memories of when I used to watch the loud house on Nickelodeon. When I saw this book on NetGalley I had to request it and it is a decision I do not regret.
This book was mind-blowing. The concept, the writing and the story were fabulous. I really liked the introduction of all the essential characters given before starting the story because, to be honest, I had forgotten most of them. This book made me relive my memories and I was really happy that there were no grammatical errors and the graphics were great. The words are also readable.
I will lastly conclude that I am really looking forward to more stories by this team.
My 10 year old son is a huge fan. I appreciate that The Loud House graphic novels get him excited about reading!
My son really enjoys the tv series and was in absolute happiness when he got the chance to read the comic version. He enjoyed it so much, he read it twice in 1 day. Brilliant book!
Thank you to the publisher, Papercutz, for allowing me to read an eARC on NetGalley! This was a super cute graphic novel! I'm a big fan of watching LoudHouse with my son and nephew and this did not disappoint! I love how this read just like an episode! It was interesting to see each individual Loud character have their "own time" in the story. Not just focus on one or two of them and have the others just be in the background. I will definitely be picking this up when it comes out and plan to get the other ones as well!
