There is so much I loved about this book. There’s elemental and physical elements of horses. The incorporation of horses and the tarot. Definitely worth the read.

Part mystical and part practical, this book covers the elemental and physical elements of horses. The switch from metaphysical to practical happens part way through the book and it’s a bit jarring, but it’s overall a good flow from topic to topic. I love the meditations that are included at the beginning of the book. They help you to channel the different elements for practical purposes.

At first I was a bit confused: the book jumps around a lot in the beginning with fun-facts about horses before explaining the big concepts of 'Horse Spirit'. I found this part extremely interesting and worth the read for the ideas and practices around the four Elemental Horses alone. The author is a mature horse lover who came back to the #equestrianlife after a long gap so she touches on some interesting topics for beginners such as buying your first horse, basic grooming and training. I really enjoyed this book for it's mix of practical advice, first-hand accounts and intuitive horse-led spiritual practices.

i quite liked this book. I'm very much immersed in horses and spirituality, so I enjoyed reading the author's thoughts and experiences in this regard. I especially loved the inclusion of Horses and the Tarot. It's a lovely read, perhaps a little unfocused with some chapters that don't seem to fit with the rest, but overall it makes the world a brighter place, and brings more understanding to the potentials of our relationships with these wonderful animal teachers.
