I thought I had downloaded this book prior to archiving, but after it got archived, I have not been able to find it on my device.
Since I did not get to read the book, I cannot provide a complete review. The premise looked interesting
I think this was a great book about letting the pieces fall where they may, and just going with the flow. I also liked the fact that going with the flow isn't always the best decision.
A woman pretends to be on honeymoon and continuously lies about where her “husband” is. Her journey quickly turns into one of which she is suspected for murder. Turns out there is a couple who are also pretending to be on honeymoon but are committing crimes and murder. This book was such a cute and fun read. It had me laughing and being completely in awe of the characters.
I was somewhat interested but i got bored fairly quickly and i found the main character to be boring and flat. Some of the side characters was a bit fun.
If you are looking for a light, charming read then this book is for you.
When her sister is left standing at the alter what choice does she have? But, to break free from her parents and her life and go on her sister's honeymoon alone.
A fun and suspenseful read. It was a perfect chick lit book and I loved the characters. I loved the story. I just loved the whole thing.
A fun, easy read that although predictable, was still enjoyable and uplifting.
Lucy has never done anything surprising and to be honest, she is a bit of a sucker. When she is told by a psychic at her sisters wedding to stop ignoring the signs that fate is sending her, Lucy believes that she needs to go to London and takes the place on her sisters "back-up" honeymoon.
This is a sweet, feel-good read that will have you rooting for Lucy every step of the way. 4.5 stars
Perfect chick lit! I loved the premise and the characters were well developed! I recommend this for anyone looking for a light and fun read!
Lovely story with some suspense added to it. I fancy a book where the female finally finds themselves and becomes a better stronger version of themselves. Thanks net galley for the chance to read it.
This was such a cute romance story, very uplifting and moving.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
This was a cute story, I enjoyed the "suspense" of the main drama. It was nice seeing Lucy learn to stand up for herself and what she wants in life.
This was a great uplifting read! I really enjoyed it and was sad when it was over! The ending was kind of expected but who it was with was a surprise! I was biting my nails till the very end! I can't wait to read more from this author and would love a sequel to this book to check in on the main characters and get an update on their life!
I was late to the game with reading Honeymoon Alone but once I started it, I couldn't stop. Its light and funny. Just what you need if you're looking for a quick read to get you over a reading slump.
This is a fun, engaging read with some laugh-out-loud moments. Similar to The Unhoneymooners, Lucy takes off on her sister's unused honeymoon trip and of course, hijinks ensue. The writing is snappy and witty. A throughly enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.
This was a fun, easy romance that I breezed through in one sitting on a particular bummer of a day during quarantine. I needed something escapist without having to think too hard, and this fit the bill! I would recommend Honeymoon Alone to anyone who's tired of watching trash tv and is in the mood for a Hallmark Movie style book to take them away for a little while.
Lucy Gray get to go on the trip of a lifetime to Europe when her sister, the overprepared one, books two trips for her honeymoon as a backup plan. This reminded me of The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren in the fact that the hotel Lucy is staying at is for couples-only. I always wanted to take a trip somewhere by myself, and I love the fact that Lucy gets so much out of her solo trip. Cute and fun romance!
Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review. An interesting novel by a new author in my personal reading-sphere! I am sure others would enjoy it too. Good character portrayls, descriptive setting and gripping plot.
Love the rom/com predictable drama. The travel adventures Lucy went on was adorable. Which made this such a fun read besides that the story was quick and easy to read. I enjoyed the book a bunch. Lucy tired of being predictable decides to go on a trip to London. Once in London, Lucy goes on an adventure of a life time.
I enjoyed this. It was fun, light and warm and cosy. Easy to read, loveable characters, easy to follow plot.
I thought this book had a very lovable main character. It was really cute and funny to read. I feel like this was a lighthearted romance with a very relatable character and it was perfect to read.
A light and super fun read, that warmed my heart during the winter days. I really loved the way Lucys journey was portraied and how she found herself while traveling. She was a very symapthic character, even though I thought she was a bit annoying in the beginning.
I loved the 'familiy blog' parts, because they showed Lucys and her families characterics so well.
To me, it was a bit slow in some parts and also quite predictable, which lowered my enjoyment a little bit.
But despite that, I really liked this story and the humor + the writing style of it. I will definitely look out for more books by Nicole Macaulay.
