This book was so fun and perfect for the hard times we have been having. I got married this summer and this was perfect to read while I was away.
Pretending to be her sister, Lucy heads to London what was to be her honeymoon trip. A much more uplifting treat than I was expecting. Lucy is very self sufficient and brave.
This was a great read! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Such a lighthearted funny book! This book was so hard to put down!
This was a great light-hearted read that I really enjoyed. Lucy takes off to London on her sister's unused honeymoon. The story that unfolds isn't all what she expected. Really enjoyed this one.
Oh my gosh, this was such a good book! It was faced paced and quite comical. I loved the element of unexpected friendships, romance, best friends, and family in this book! This book will make you wish you were in London. This book is the perfect LOL romcom. I highly recommend it!
This was an odd mix, like it couldn't decide what it wanted to be when it grew up: a romance or a crime drama. It didn't feel like either was fully developed.
Such a cute and charming read! It had a Hallmark movie vibe and I enjoyed the travel scenes especially during quarantine! Thank you NetGalley for this e-arc!
A book you need to read during the Pandemic of 2020. Place a gal in search of a life outside of her comfort zone, toss in 2 hot guys and then a generous dash of mystery and you'll end up with Honeymoon Alone.
A totally fun read for entertainment.
Plus it does make you start to wonder if stepping out of your own comfort zone couldn't lead to life-altering adventures.
Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this early. I have never read anything by this author so i was excited when I was granted access. I loved the familial story behind this one. This was definitely a page turner and kept me interested the whole time. Love!
This is the perfect, quick vacation read especially during quarantine when you can't be traveling. For anyone who enjoys traveling or misses being in London this will definitely give a nice taste of that experience. Enjoyable story line with enough twists and turns to keep it enjoyable and not too predictable! Unlike other books I've read in the same genre, the main character actually has good character growth and is fairly enjoyable even in her most annoying moments. I would recommend this and look forward to future books from this author!
I want to give this book 3.5 stars. This was such a sweet story but it was lacking for me, if you like Hallmark movies you will probably enjoy this one! I would recommend this to anyone who loves a little romance and enjoys reading in the France and England scene.
I have to say the references to all my favorite "oldie shows" was my favorite part of this book, and worth reading just for those moments since I grew up watching and loving them. It was a quick and easy read, which was good because it wasn't a title I really connected with, leaving me feeling like it was just okay.
I wanted to root for Lucy during her travels, but just felt a little underwhelmed by this particular story, even if I felt it was well written, I just wanted something MORE.
Thank you to Netgalley and 4b Pub for allowing me to read this title in exchange for my honest review.
This was a relatively decent read, I would not ank it up there with some of my all time favorites, but it had moments of charm and sweetness that made it worthwhile.
An enjoyable, quirky read! Lots of fun, just my kind of book.
Romance and humour. Really enjoyed it. Would definitely read more.
Now if you where to be able to walk in to your favorite Bookstore and see this book how could you not buy it??Author #Nicole Macaulay has a quirky fun Lucy Gray that is a romantic. And she kicks up her heels and as you may see will be in for a adventure for one, two, maybe three? I guess you just have to buy the book. And read my posting on my blog last month.opps!😉
Fun and irreverent book. I would recommend this book especially as a beach read. Maybe also as a fun Covid read to take your mind off of the world. The characters were well presented and relatable. Definitely worth the time to read!
I found the pacing of this to be slow, especially in the very beginning. But as far as quality it was well written and the plot is what you'd expect for the genre. Nothing standout, but enjoyable and cute.
This was an enjoyable, charming, quirky romance. I loved the characters and thought the addition of the psychic was a nice touch. It was a great escape.
Many thanks to BooksGoSocial and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
The writing was great but the plot wasn’t. I’m not a huge fan of psychics so that kind of did me in. I’d be interested in reading more by this author and giving them a second chance. I think they have great potential.
I don't know what to say about this book.
I was expecting something else. I didn't see a plot. Just didn't sit right.
Writing is great, but book isn't.
2.5 stars
