I fell in love with the authors words in The Young Wives Club, and now I know that she's going to be a favorite author of mine for years to come (or as long as she writes).

I've been looking forward to Julie Pennell's next novel since reading her debut. When I saw this one on netgalley I immediately requested it. Was I disappointed? Not in the slightest! Her words are perfect! I loved all three sisters perspective and found the plot to be unique! Don't we all wish we could win the lottery? Seems like a dream! But Julie shows us that money isn't everything in her newest release!

I highly recommend this one!

Julie Pennell has once again knocked it out of the park! I loved The Young Wives Club so I was ecstatic to dive into Louisiana Lucky!

I think everyone had dreamed of what it would be like to win the lottery. I very rarely play myself, but when the jackpot gets crazy high, I can’t help but play- you know you have to be in it to win it. And of course I then spend a ridiculous amount of time thinking about how I would spend that money. Welllllll, Louisiana Lucky centers around three sisters (Lexi, Hanna, and Callie) that play the lottery and end winning $204,000,000!!! The Breaux sisters are all at different spots in their lives so they plan to spend their portions differently, but surely their lives will get exponentially better...right!?!?

I completely adored this book! The characters are very relatable and by end of Louisiana Lucky you feel like you know them in real life! A great women’s fiction novel makes for a perfect beach read and I highly recommend this 5 star novel as your next beach read! Julie Pennell is officially now an automatic 1-click author for me— I truly can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!

A fun story made better by several life-altering doses of reality. Love stories are generally uplifting but what happens when the dream life starts sliding off the rails? If you are a Southern gal with sisters, you get real and fix things.
