Nice, easy read. I literally read it at the beach. I really enjoyed the authors voice and the accompanying spells and recommendations. I liked it so much I bought they print copy and read it a year ago, forgetting it was a netgalley book I needed to review.
This book is wonderful for those new to Green Witchcraft. It covers herbs, plants, and crystals and how to use them in various ways in one's magical work. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in learning about Green witchcraft or doing green witchcraft themselves.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy free of charge. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
This is a great introduction to spirituality through the practice of Green Witchcraft. It is fairly basic and would not be as beneficial to people who have previous knowledge on the topic. It also has an overly optimistic tone that makes it palatable to the new wave of witchcraft we're seeing but I would not say that is completely realistic to how some people practice. However, Vanderbeck does lay out information clearly for beginners looking into witchcraft.
This book is absolutely gorgeous! I love the cover art and how in depth and knowledgeable the book feels. It comes off as if the author really knows their stuff in relation to green witchcraft and the world of the green witch. This book was easy to read and packed with extremely helpful information not just on green witchcraft, but also anything else related. Reading this taught me so much; this is a book made to educate.
Fantastic. I really like this book. I'm trying to learn more of the natural ways and this book came in very handy. Very informative, easy to understand and chock full of information. I think I also need to buy a hard copy for my shelves :D
I am a Green witch, and I thought I would give this a go to see if I could learn more as I’m always trying to improve my craft. I found this book very useful, and is a great guide to beginners.
Green Witchcraft is a very helpful book that includes a lot of information on several different "Green Witchcraft" aspects. As a lifelong nature lover with a deep interest in anything "witchy" or metaphysical, I was drawn to this book & learned a lot from it.
This book provided a lot if detailed, but not too detailed, information on several different flowers, plants, trees, herbs, & crystals. Each topic also included different ways to use them such as for spells, crafts, tools, rituals, etc. Everything provided great insight into Green witchcraft to build the connection to self, source, earth, & nature.
"Green Witchcraft" by Paige Vanderbeck is a valuable book to add to anyone's library, that wants to include nature in their lives. I enjoyed how the author explained to the reader that Green Witchcraft is not just a single path but something you can add to any form of religion. The lore of this particular craft takes you to the heart of our existence, Mother Earth. When exploring Green Witchcraft you are not only using herbs for their medicinal purposes, but also strengthening your ever growing relationship with the earth on a supernatural level.
There are several exercises in this book, but the one I resonated with, was the elemental grounding exercise which helps you connect to the five physical elements fire, water, air, earth and spirit. There are references on several tree species, herbs and crystals as well as their magical properties, element, astrological sign and the corresponding chakra.
If you want to make your own broom or wand that can also be found in this wonderfully written book, along with spells and rituals.
I found "Green Witchcraft" by Paige Vanderbeck to be a wonderful starting point for those interested in the craft, as well as a great reference book for spells.
This is a well organized informative guide that is comprehensive and useful for all green witches. I highly recommend this book. I like the author''s writing style and how the information is presented. Paige has included information on flowers, plants, herbs/greens, wood, and stones/crystals, with recipes . She also includes wonderful guides to use of herbs, flowers and plants as well as spells information. Everything a green witch needs is included here. Very well done and informative book. Thank you to Net Galley and to the publisher for the opportunity. My review opinion is my own.
Most impressed by this. Was informative and helpful without being too weird. It will be one I pick up for a friend of mine for her growing library.
This title covers quite a bit of ground. It does it with a clear voice and simple instructions that make doing the activities possible. Beginning with a concept of Green Witchcraft ,it moves to the importance of animals, plants, the Earth, and most importantly the person doing the work. The plants that are listed are discussed concerning those that are poisonous, or could be harmful. Please always check to see if your plants or herbs are poisonous to the animals that cohabitate with you.
This title is easy to read, gives good examples and gives in my opinion new people to witchcraft a structure they will need to do the spells listed effectively..
