Kate, Gemma and Caroline are three very different women who have a bond that can never be broken: they’re sisters. Then disaster suddenly strikes and they are in for the toughest time of their lives. Family secrets are revealed and their lives change forever.

Daddy’s Girls is a quick read about three sisters who must find their own selves when their father dies. If you are a fan of Danielle Steel, you will enjoy the book.
Thank you to #NetGalley, #Danielle Steel, and #Random house for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Daddy’s Girl tells the story of JT Tucker the father of three daughters who he raised on his own moving them to California and establishing a huge ranch. Kate, Carolyn, and Gemma are each quite different in their adult lives. After the sudden death of their father the sisters learn a secret their father had been hiding from them. This secret will change them in ways they never imagined.
Danielle Steel brings the story to life as she does in all her books.
This is about 3 sisters who have taken very different paths in life. The death of their Father reveals a huge secret. The story is about the women dealing with issues in their lives and finding a way forward. This is a light fast read, perfect with all the things going on in the world right now. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
I liked the story and the characters. However, there was a lot of repetition. unfortunately said the same way with the same words. It got to a point where I was wondering if it was just filler.
Thank you NetGalley and Random House publishing for the ARC provided in exchange with my honest review.
The story is about three sisters, Kate, Gemma and Caroline who had different life as a grown woman, suddenly they all had to come home to their father’s ranch after he died suddenly of a heart attack. Not long after their father passed away, they revealed unexpected secret, their mother turned out still alive not died like what their father told them since they were little girls. Their journey finding out where and what happened to their mother after all this time also brought back their relationship to get more closer to each other, including sharing their ups and downs that keep happening during their time.
Danielle Steel has her magic writing style whenever she came with a story. Broken heart, happiness, separation, honesty, all ingredients been mixed very well in the story and it was like a roller coaster feeling whenever I follow the character’s story where all of those feelings above are included. When I finished reading this book, I completely agree that the girls loved their father very much though he treated them differently and one of the them were not his favorite at all. She wrote each of their story very careful, strong and also down to earth typical of woman, focused with their personality. I felt this one slightly bit different with her other books where there are multiple characters and they all been mixed up and “too quick” whenever she tries to wrote their stories and the ending wasn’t clear and satisfying either. To me, this one has satisfying ending, not too exaggerated from broken heart to happiness situation, all wrapped up with smiles, grateful, and of course happiness.
I would recommend this book for those who enjoy family theme, family drama, survivor from a broken-hearted and betrayal life, with a strong protagonist female character in it.
This was the first book I've read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. It was very well written and the characters were well thought out.
Some say that surrounding themselves with familiar things can be very soothing during times of high anxiety. Right now with the "shelter in place" order due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, I thought the latest Danielle Steel book would be perfect. Boy, was I right.
The style felt like the author's earlier books. While the plot gets repeated a few times, to make sure we know what's going on, it wasn't ridiculously repetitive as it has been in some of her books. We have three sisters, whose father moved them from Texas to the Santa Ynez Valley in California when they were very young, after their mother died. It was nice to see a father raising his daughters in this book, rather than the usual single mother character. However, once the sisters are grown and living their adult lives, dad suddenly dies, exposing a huge secret and leaving his ranch to them, as well.
This was a pretty quick read, but enjoyable. Although some parts were predictable, it didn't get monotonous. I was interested throughout the book, and comforted by the familiarity of Danielle Steel's writing style.
This book was a typical Danielle Steel book. I think she always follows the same format, main characters...finds love... someone else gets hurt... money... fancy lifestyle... its all here. This was just a good as her other books. Great for a quick beach read!

This book drew me in by the cover and the author. Then when it was about sisters even more.
The father J T Tucker was not a warm man and he had different relationships with all his daughters. After his unexpected death th girls find their way back to each other and they finds out their father was holding back information that would rock their world upside down.
It was a very good book and it pulled you in different directions as the bonds between the Sisters grew stronger.
I think almost every girls hero and the one we look up to is dad. In this happy- sad book, these girls must learn to lean on each other. During the passing of their father. Even if they find out some not good things about their dad.
Caroline, Gemma, and Kate all live with their father on his ranch in California. A single father, JT was widowed when the girls were young. He raised the girls until one by one, until they left the ranch. Eventually, only Kate is left behind to help run the ranch with their father and employees.
At the still young age of 64 their father suddenly dies, leaving the girls to pick up the pieces of this life and their own. Each of "Daddy's Girls" had a unique relationship with her dad. The oldest, Kate, he bossed around and trusted to run the day to day operations of the ranch. Gemma, the middle child, was the Hollywood starlet and Daddy's favorite. Then the youngest, Caroline, the one who ran away as quickly as she could, to become the mother she never had.
When their dad died, the girls came together to mourn, but to also pick up the pieces of JT's life. What they find will change their lives forever. Each of them handles the news differently, and uses it to become a better version of herself. Danielle Steel doesn't disappoint with her newest title. Daddy's Girls is sure to be a hit!
Daddy's Girls is the story of three sisters who are brought together after their father's death. I enjoyed the ranch setting and it's an interesting plot. I've never read a Danielle Steel before, and went into this with the purpose of being able to discuss it with library patrons that are fans of her books. I found Daddy's Girls to be a quick, easy read. It was too repetitive for me, but I can see how that might appeal to certain readers because it made it very easy to pick up wherever I had last left off.
Thank you to NetGalley, Random House, and Delacorte for the chance to read this book.
Enjoy the stories of these sisters. Seems brothers never get many stories wrote for them. They all belong to dadddy and finally came together at the place they never wanted to be.
I am a longtime Danielle Steel fan and this book did not disappoint. Family secrets that evolved to a strengthening of family bonds made this story a page turner for sure. While the outcome of the relationships was somewhat predictable I truly enjoyed the story to the end. Well done!
This was a wonderful book. It kept me wondering what was going to happen. I have always loved Danielle’s books and have read most of them. They are always ones that have kept me intrigued. This one I loved. it was about a ranch and it had suspense and romance in it. A lot of her books do romance so either you like it or not and I love it. There is suspenseful parts in it to. Wondering if a couple with get together. Wondering what will happen to certain characters in the book. This book is worth the read. I would recommend it to anyone.
Yet again, another great Danielle Steele book. I loved this one as I always do with her books!
We begin learning about JT, the father that has raised his 3 girls on his ranch. JT never talked about the girls mom and told them she had died and that was it. JT raised the girls on the ranch and after college, Gemma and Caroline went off to live their own dreams off the ranch. Kate, the oldest girl, stayed on the ranch and helped her father. Caroline is the only one of the girls that has married and she has two kids herself.
When Kate is suddenly in charge of the ranch, things begin to change for the girls. Is it for the best or for the worse though? You will enjoy going on this journey with the girls. Gemma is a lively one that is an actor. She gets hit with a hard case of reality though when the show she is the main actor on decides to end on a high note and cancels the show after 10 years. JT had always told Gemma to put some money away and not spend it all as she made it. Gemma never listened to her father though and lived well about her means when the show is cancelled. What is she going to do now?
Caroline is the more calm one of the girls and has let her husband, Peter, make most of the decisions for her in their marriage so far. When a situation comes up though, Caroline is forced to re-evaluate her life and not let others walk all over her. Caroline has always stayed away from the ranch since she left it but with a certain shadow over the ranch gone for her, Caroline and the kids have been spending more and more time at the ranch and really enjoying it.
Kate has had dreams of doing some changes to the ranch but she never wanted to cross her dad. Kate is the peace maker of the family and always tries to please everyone. Kate is overjoyed that her sisters are finally spending time at the ranch and with her. Situations that have come up in their lives have brought them closer together and Kate is very happy about it, but not the circumstance that caused it.
This was a great journey with these three girls. I loved getting to know them and see how they matured and dealt with their life circumstances. I wish we could get more from them for sure. Such a lovely family!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an advanced copy of this book. Great read!
There are moments on a story when the authors words mirror a time in your life long forgotten or a suddenly revealed secret only two or three trusted people share. Danielle Steele is a master of the reveal and this story has a great one about mid tale. Three sisters who grew up under a domineering father each have forged a life far away from his influence. Kate has stayed on the land that their father worked so hard to acquire and expand, Gemma, fled to Los Angeles and Caroline married into old money. JT or Jimmy has a fatal heart attack that pushes each daughter to confront their individual relationship with their father. A divorce decree reveals the fact that the mother they thought had died was alive and well not far from them. As each sister comes to her own epiphany their paths are changed forever.
It is so easy to slide into a Danielle Steel novel. Three sisters grew up on a California ranch. Caroline felt stifled and uncultured so she fled to San Francisco. Gemma because a Hollywood starlet. Kate stayed on the ranch and was her father's right hand man. His death brings an avalanche of changes to the sisters' lives. It was easy to see the paths the story would take before they occurred. I did think the sisters accepted theor long lost relative a little too easily without any anger or recriminations. The cover art is very appealing.
