Thank you Danielle Steel, Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group for the chance to read an ARC of this book. This is a story about 3 sisters who have grown apart over the years due to family issues. A tragedy brings them together and they realize that they want to repair their relationships with each other. Lost relatives, betrayal and family secrets lead the girls to mend an old relationship and to form new ones. They realize that family is important, they love their new relationships and the 3 of them will always be Daddy’s Girls.
This latest book by Danielle Steel grabbed me from the beginning. I read ALL of her books and I always enjoy them. This one was a quick read and I read it in a day while I'm self quarantined in my house. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review.
This book surrounds a ranch that is owned by JT and where he raises his three girls. Each girl couldn't be any different, yet he was all they had from birth as he told them their mother had passed away. When JT has a massive heart attack and passes away, the girls find out that their mother is alive and at the same time have personal crises to resolve. I liked the characters overall, but struggled with the repetitiveness throughout. I overall enjoyed the book, but it is definitely not one of my favorite books by this author.
Daddy’s Girls by Danielle Steel. A beautiful story. A fast read about happy endings for three sisters. I love happy endings right now with the world in so much chaos over the cornovirus is nice to read a cheerful book. Read it you will love the story.
Daddy's Girls centers around the aftermath of a powerful rancher's death, primarily its impact on his three daughters, who inherit his enormous California ranch. JT was a domineering father, and he had a unique relationship with each of his daughters. His youngest daughter, Caroline, didn't have a close relationship with JT, and she practically ran away to become a wife, mother, and successful writer. But not all is well in Caro's life, and when she discovers that her husband is having an affair with his coworker, she has to rebuild her world. JT's middle daughter, Gemma, is a successful actress in Hollywood, and she leads a very different life from her sisters. She's part a popular ensemble show, but when the show it cancelled at the height of its popularity, she finds herself in financial trouble because of her excessive lifestyle. Then there is Kate, the oldest daughter, who gave up a life of her own to assist JT with the ranch. As different as the sister's are, they all have their father and the ranch in common. Then they learn that their father kept an important secret about their mother from them, and they're left to re-evaluate their feelings about their dad.
The story focuses on how all three sisters rebuild their lives after their world collapses. This is a heartwarming story, very typical of DS, and makes for a pleasant reading experience. The writing is not particularly deep, and some of the characters seem a little shallow, but overall it's a decent escapist story.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Once you open a Danielle Steel book I you just know it is going to have all the elements you have come to love and expect from her. Family, love , loss, second chances , this book had it all.
A great read
Danielle Steel has done it again! “Daddy’s Girls” is a sweet story of three sisters and the different lives they lead because of the influence of their domineering father. Although the story was predictable without any major surprises, it is so well written, in typical Steel style, that I couldn’t put it down.
Daddy's Girls was yet another heartwarming and multifaceted novel by Danielle Steel. I have been reading her books since high school- 30 plus years, and her books still have the ability to draw me into the world on the page and out of everyday life. Having two daughters myself, and the fact that my mom is one of three daughters, I can identify with how daughters can differ from each other within the same household. The characters of Gemma, Caroline and Kate are all extremely different from each other, yet as the story progresses they find ways to come together.
I find it interesting how each have different memories of their father, based on the very different relationship each had with him. Kate, who has always been happy and preferred to stay at the ranch to work, experiences the pleasure of her sisters finally being drawn to the ranch as a result of crises affecting each of their personal lives. I found it deeply touching when the sisters worked through their emotions together regarding a long held secret that they discovered while going through their father's belongings after his passing. And, equally touching, their decision about pursuing the secret.
I highly recommend Daddy's Girls as one of those novels the reader will want to grab a good strong cup of coffee or tea for, and to curl up in bed for a relaxing afternoon of reading.
Although this book was a little predictable, I still loved it. It talks about three sisters coming together after the loss of their father. There's romance, suspense, and the love of family all wrapped in one. I always loved Danielle Steel books I can honestly say I love the fact that I am caught up on them. I want to thank Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read this in exchange of honest review.
I just loved the cover and well I’m a sucker for a pretty cover. The story of a family with tons of love and tons of secrets is how I would describe this book without giving anything away. I fell in love with this family and laughed and cried with them. A great read. #daddysgirls #netgalley

This book is the story of three sisters who come together to deal with the effects of their domineering father’s death. Secrets are revealed, they face upheavals in their daily lives and learn to live without the giant presence of their father. It was fun to watch each of the sisters deal with their problems , become close again and get their happy ever after. #netgalley
Thank you to Netgalley, Random House Publishing Group and the Author Danielle Steele
for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Another great human nature story from Danielle that was heartwarming and poignant but all worked out in the end.
I always love her use of the Women protagonist(s) who are strong or find their strength within the story.
This was a really enjoyable read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this book.
Not bad fare from Ms. Steel. A solid story about three sisters renewing their relationship after the death of their overbearing father. It's not fancy, and there are no surprises,. It's an easy, quick read that her fans will love.
This book centers around three adult sisters who are very different from each other. They lose their father suddenly and must cope with that reality and others in each sisters own life. Of course it all works out in the end as it usually does, but the fun part is getting there.
Thank you to Danielle Steel, Netgalley and Delacorte Press (Random House) for the arc
Once again Danielle Steel has amazed me. Absolutely fell in love with this story. The reader will be able to immerse themselves into this story, and you may never want it to end. This is one of those books that could keep going. You were able to really get to know all three girls and their lives and their father made such a huge impact on them and their decision making as they grew up. Loved this book.
A heartwarming story about 3 girls who suddenly lost their father in their adult lives, and walk through that loss, but also the opportunity to strengthen their own relationships with each other and their own nuclear families.
Another classic Danielle Steel book. I have literally read every book Danielle has written and while I have some issues with the first chapter of every book (the repetition of the same plot lines), the book was awesome. This book, which I read an advance copy of thanks to NetGalley, starts off in on a beautiful ranch in Northern California with JT, the "Daddy" and his daughter Kate who has given her life to her father. Caroline, the baby, is largely missing from the ranch and her father's life. Then there is Gemma, a tv star who is about to be hit with harsh reality when her TV show is cancelled. A tragic death send the girls on a chase to figure out if JT lied to them or what the truth is in the mystery of their mother. Each sister has some sort of dramatic event in their lives. While I didn't like the end of Caroline (I won't spoil it but I just didn't like it), I was thrilled to read the book and all Danielle had to offer.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an e-arc in exchange for a honest review. The newest book by the author is about three sisters, who are so different. They grew up on a sprawling ranch raised by the very stern and domineering. Upon his death, they are brought back together and inherit the ranch. Naturally things don't go smooth and easy and each sister faces her own problems. It was fun to watch each of them handle their problems and to see how their relationships develop...not to mention a surprise! If you like Danielle Steel's books, you will like this one!
I have been reading Danielle Steel's books for over 30 years and have never read a book that I didn't love. Of course, some are better than others, but I always find them enjoyable. I eagerly anticipate each new novel.
This story is about three sisters who are so different from each other, yet come together after the death of their domineering father. Secrets are revealed, they face upheavals in their daily lives and learn to live without the giant presence of their father. I was able to anticipate some of the story lines before they happened, which is very rare for me when reading a DS novel. This, however, did not detract from my reading enjoyment in the least. I highly recommend the purchase of this book.
Thank you Danielle Steel, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.
