I love, love, love Marian Keyes and have missed her books like crazy. Grown Ups is very similar to her early work in that it is very character-driven, long, and full of the personal trials and tribulations that most people can relate to. However, it does seem to be a bit more, well, grown up, than her previous work. At 650+ pages, it isn't a fast read. But, it is certainly worth giving it the time it deserves.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Marian Keyes latest family saga does not shy away from the big issues faced in life. Its witty, sassy and moving. Could not put this wonder book down. Marian Keyes at her best.

This was an incredible novel that drew me in and never let go. I felt emotionally invested in the characters’ lives and couldn’t stop reading.

The Casey family is as much dysfunctional as any of our family. This story was light heart, but hard to really submerged into. The family is vast as any family would be. However, with that many characters it's hard to keep up with everyone story. It took me half of the book to keep track of the family tree and after that I forgot what everyone issues is with the other family members. On top of the miniature family fuel there is the case of each family members attitude, quirks and identity to keep track of. It's a bit much. If this story could be divided into smaller families into different books, I think I would be able to enjoy it more.

First off, I love Marian Keyes. Her Walsh Family series are some of my favorite books to re-read because they are such great reads to improve your mood and take you away. I love them.

This book, while very well written, just didn't capture me quite as much. I still really enjoyed reading it, but it just felt like there was just a few too many perspectives going on to fully invest in them all. I am really glad I read it and will continue to be a fan of hers and read all her books, but this one probably won't be on my regular re-read list.

I would still highly recommend this book to read because it is really good and the characters are multidimensional and developed. I was very glad I read this book and I did actually enjoy it's arc. I just would probably give this a 3.5-4 ranking rather than a 4-5 like her past books.

To say that I love Marian Keyes books is the understatement of the year. I have read the Walsh family books so many times I feel that I know all the sisters personally. So when I got a copy of Grown Ups I was over the moon, and was not disappointed. This book is a heartfelt, sad, and sometimes hilarious look at the Casey family and all their ups and downs. Beautifully written full of interesting characters that will stay with you. I really hope Ms. Keyes writes more books about that big boisterous family. Highest recommendations for this excellent book.

Wise, funny, generous, heartbreaking, this is Marian Keyes at the top of her game. I recognised myself and my loved ones on every page and I want to press this book into the hands of everyone I know. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I am on the fence about this book. The plot was light hearted, but there were too many characters to try to keep track of, which made me feel lost.

A complex family drama, filled with unforgettable characters. This book focuses on The Casey brothers and their families. As always, the characters are enthralling, comprised of people similar to those we meet around us every day while also being truly unique and memorable. I have a book hangover and I want to know what happens to them all next!

'Grown Ups', the latest offering by Marian Keyes, tells the story of the dysfunctional Casey family and theirs exploits, all of which are suddenly and unexpectedly revealed at a family birthday meal.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this book. All I know is that I wanted to like it so much more than I did. For a long novel, I didn't really get to know, or connect with, any of the characters, and the pace seemed quite slow. It was just one elaborate family gathering after another, and I didn't pay any attention to the constant changings of time. A lot of the characters, especially the children, were irrelevant too; I kept waiting for their significance to be revealed.

As I received an ARC, this may have also added to my negativity towards the book, unfortunately. There were just so many typos, missing letters and missing line breaks that it made it a chore for me to read the book.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marian Keyes as an author, but 'Grown Ups' just didn't do it for me.

I have been a fan of Marian Keyes for a long time. While her latest novel is told in her signature writing style, the book itself was just too drawn out for me. It took me awhile to get through this one and I found the pacing to be very slow. There were too many characters to really care about any of them and I found it hard to keep them all straight. The Casey’s were a highly dysfunctional although hilarious at times family. There were a couple characters that were really likable but I just felt like nothing ever REALLY happened in the book. The book did pick up near the end which got me to the finish line.

I always enjoy Marian Keyes! She can write about dysfunctional wacky families without becoming maudlin like no other. Grown Ups is no different. I enjoyed being taken along for the ride with the Casey brothers. The bits we learn about their parents made me wonder how they managed to function as well as they did at all. I did feel like the book was a little long--it must have been well over 600 pages! I think it could have been trimmed a bit, there was a lot going on and in the beginning, it was difficult to keep everyone straight.

I love Marian Keyes books and I was delighted to get the opportunity to review her newest book Grown Ups. I am so disappointed to say that the book did not live up to my expectations. I found it very long and it was very slow in places. I also did not like some of the characters and found their chapters difficult to read.

I'm usually a fan of Marian Keyes, but this book was hard going. I had trouble keeping the characters straight, and there just didn't seem to be much of a plot.

Marian Keyes takes you to Ireland and makes you want to be part of the enchanting Casey family. From womanizers to girl bosses this family has it all and we get to learn not everyone is perfect and everyone has secrets that are best kept untold.

I adored this book! I've read a couple of Marian Keyes books and I was a little apprehensive of how long Grown Ups was but then I fell head over heels in love with the rich, interesting characters. I initially wondered how I would keep track of all the different characters but it becomes very easy as the book goes on. It's a leisurely book, that's for sure and some may argue not a huge amount happens but your interest in the characters takes you along with them and I'd enjoyed watching how they all responded to certain scenarios. The women (specifically all three wives) in particular in this book are a really great bunch and incredibly likeable and relatable. The book tackles a lot of difficult topics and I especially applaud Marian Keyes for shedding light on refugees in Ireland. I haven't given this five stars purely because I felt more time could have been dedicated to the fallout from Johnny's birthday. Considering how much the book was building up to it, I wanted more time and pages as it felt a tad rushed and there was so much we could have read about!

Thanks NetGalley for my ARC of this book.

I will be glad to provide a full review once the copy can be updated. I was not able to get through the book because of formatting issues and, more importantly, missing characters throughout.

I love Marian Keyes, and I loved this book.

The book, set in Ireland, tells the story of three women: Jessie, Nell and Cara, all married to one of the Casey brothers. Jessie, the oldest, is on her second marriage, and her blended family brings her great joy, but also a lot of drama. Cara, the middle wife, is struggling with her body image and career, and Nell, newly married to the gorgeous Liam is caught up in the whirlwind of being in the Casey family.

Marian Keyes books are both funny (a scene set at a murder mystery party is unequaled), and serious and often deal with serious issues like grief, mental health and addiction in a realistic way.

All her books are amazing, and this is no different.

I love Marian Keyes' books but this one fell flat for me. Basically three brothers and their families spend a lot of time together with a serious lack of plot. One day a concussed sister-in-law blurts out all their secrets. Unfortunately, this is not until you've read 90% of the book. Two and a half stars that I'll round up to three because it's Marian Keyes. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

As a huge Keyes fan for so many years this one did not disappoint. Going in I was concerned because it is a long story but knowing that Keyes is a descriptive author helped ease my concern. Grown Ups takes a look at the present and past lives of the Casey family. Every chapter gives more and more insight into the grown ups they have become and what got them where they are. Thoughtful and descriptive is how I would describe this story. I loved falling in love and hate with all the members of the Casey family.
