For me a first read by this author. A fast paced intriguing story that gets your full attention shortly after starting the book. Tabitha is swept into a romantic relationship with her former boyfriend. Against her better judgment all her feelings of been completely in love with him are coming back to the surface.
Is Connor Ford using her or does he truly love her. Finding herself in an environment she is uncomfortable with who can she trust? The police seem to be more against her then trying to help.
Connor is more into protecting his wealth then protecting the supposedly love of his life that he can’t live without. The story is a real page turner that will have you reading way past your bedtime.

I love a good domestic thriller. This particular one gave me a run for my money. Usually I can untwist most of the story by the end after following the clues that the author leaves. The Wife Who Knew Too Much left me still grasping right up until the end.

Tabitha has never gotten over her first true love, Connor. So when he comes back into her life unexpectedly she's more than happy to put any lingering questions at bay. She knows its complicated between them, but Tabitha is hoping that this time she'll be able to keep the only man she's truly loved.

One night changes everything. Connor's wife is found dead after a party that she hosted. Connor is now under suspicion and by extension Tabitha herself. Not knowing where the truth lies in the new world she was thrust into, Tabitha needs to learn quickly who to trust and who to be wary of.

A great beach or weekend read. You'll have a hard time putting this one down.

First I want to thank @netgalley and @stmartinspress for giving me my ebook ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’m just going to jump right into it. I wasn’t a fan of this one. The characters were unlikeable. Tabitha, the main POV, was so naive and honestly? I thought she was stupid. I love strong, independent, bad ass women. Tabitha is not it. This is my second read by Michelle Campbell and I think it’s safe to say she has a knack for writing unreliable characters. While I was interested in the beginning, but as it went on the plot and story wasn’t enough for me. I was pretty over it by the end.

Sooo good.

I was hooked from page one. The diary entry was gripping.

And then we got to see the choices made by Connor and Tabitha...and how their choices spiraled and caused all the problems.

Fast-paced and full of twists, I really loved this!

Years ago Connor Ford broke Tabitha's heart. Now she is divorced and working as a waitress when he walks in after all of these years. They have a great weekend together but he is married. Not to just any woman but a very wealthy woman who he has been married to for two years. Tabitha finds out she is pregnant and shows up at their house on the 4th of July as they are having a big party. Connor's wife is dead before the end of the evening, Did she kill herself or was it murder? Who wanted Nina dead? Now Tabitha and Connor can marry but life is not all that simple. A great read and hard to tell who is the murderer until the end.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much was my second read by Michele Campbell. I enjoyed Stranger on the Beach, so I had high hopes for The Wife Who Knew Too Much and was not disappointed!
The book begins with a letter written by Nina, a rich and famous woman, who had supposedly committed suicide the night of her annual Fourth of July party at her mansion, Windswept. I was hooked from the start, as Nina's letter says that she is concerned that her husband, Connor, is having an affair and that he will kill her.
Next, we learn about Tabitha, a waitress from Connor's past. The two had an epic summer romance in their late teens that ended abruptly when Connor's family found out, disapproved, and forbade them to see each other. Connor and Tabitha reconnected just months before Nina's "suicide", and not long after, Tabitha marries Connor and moves into Windswept, much to the suspicion of everyone working for Connor.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much kept me guessing right up until the end, as Tabitha gets caught up in the investigation into Nina's suspicious death. This book was a page-turner, highly recommend!

The Wife Who Knew Too Much was a solid 4 stars. A mystery/thriller, the book centers around main character Tabitha-a woman barely scraping by in life. Life greatly changes for Tabitha when Connor-a rich and handsome man with whom she had a past with, walks back into her life. Conner, who has always loved Tabitha, is unhappily married to an ultra rich woman (Nina) and it is her that controls their vast fortune. When Nina ends of dead (ruled a suicide), it seems that Conner and Tabitha can finally be together, but nothing is as it seems.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much was an interesting, though somewhat slower paced book. Full of twists and turns, it kept me fully engaged in the story and had a very satisfying ending. Recommended to fans of mystery/thriller books. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I was really excited about this one because I really loved A Stranger on the Beach. I thought this one was okay but I just couldn't connect with the characters or the story enough to finish it. DNF at 25%.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much is a quick, fast paced, easy read with a very decent plot. Unfortunately, that's cancelled out by the not-so-great writing and dialogue. The conclusion was also disappointing and easy to anticipate.

This is my kind of book. I was gripped from the start of this book. The author had developed great characters and a brilliant storyline. It had me constantly guessing through the book as to who you could trust. Don’t want to say more than just read it. If I wrote more I fear I would give things away and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. I will be interested to read more by Michele Campbell.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc in return for an honest review.

This book totally had me hooked from the very beginning! This book was definitely unputdownable for me and I was bummed every time I had to put it down.

When Tabitha was young, she fell in love with Connor, but his rich grandmother intervened. Almost two decades later, Connor walks back into Tabitha's life and tells her how much her regrets leaving her. However, Connor is married to Nina who is extremely wealthy and she has set up a prenup clause that states he will lose everything if he cheats on her.

Nina is found dead in her pool and everything points to suicide minus her diary which states "I’m writing this to raise an alarm in the event of my untimely death. If I die unexpectedly, it was foul play, and Connor was behind it. Connor—and her.”

So the question is, did Connor do it to be with Tabitha and get her money? Did Tabitha do it so she could be with Connor? Or did Nina actually commit suicide?

There are so many twists that make you keep guessing what happened and why. I love how this book didn't drag out the details. It kept coming up with new information and twists. I think there was only one small lag spot, but the rest was intense.

I was so sucked into this book I really got stressed out for the characters. I was a little frustrated in Tabitha's character because she was a little meek and pathetic. I have to say, that may be my only complaint of this book.

I am definitely planning on ready more of Michele Campbell's books.

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for my eARC in exchange for my honest review!

Connor Ford was Tabitha’s first love, but like many summer romances it was not to last. Tabitha worked at the country club and Connor was under the control of a wealthy grandmother who demanded the end to the relationship. Thirteen years later Tabitha is a divorced waitress trying to make ends meet when Connor walks back into her life. Despite her misgivings, she resumes their affair.

Nina Levitt is Connor’s wife. As an influential businesswoman whose late husband was unfaithful, she had Connor sign a pre-nuptial agreement that gave him nothing if he was caught cheating on her. When Nina dies suddenly it is ruled an accident. Tabitha and Connor marry shortly after her death but it is not the life that Tabitha imagined. She is uncomfortable in the large estate, surrounded by Nina’s possessions and former staff and Connor has taken on a larger role and more hours in Nina’s business. When Tabitha finds Nina’s diary she realizes that she can not trust anyone - including Connor.

Michele Campbell has written a perfect summer read. She offers enough misdirections that you are never sure who will be proven guilty until the final pages. It was difficult to put this book down and I would not hesitate to recommend it . I would like to thank NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for providing this book for my review.

Fast paced and twisty, this book catches you from Nina’s very first words that state “if I turn up dead, my husband killed me,” until the very last page. Nina is an ultra wealthy widow when she meets Connor, twenty years her junior. After a whirlwind romance they quickly wed, but did Connor marry her for the right reasons? When Connor runs into Tabitha, a naive down on her luck waitress, his teenage flame, they briefly picked up where they left off all those years ago. With an ironclad prenup, Connor is not sure what to do about the future, but he definitely doesn’t want his lifestyle to change. When Nina turns up dead by an apparent suicide, it looks like everything is headed in the right direction for Tabitha and Connor, but just as we think we know exactly what direction Campbell is taking us, it’s time to guess again, because once this book gets twisty, it stays that way until the very end!

This is the second book by Michele Campbell that I have read. I loved Stranger on the beach but The wife who knew too much was amazing. I am so thankful I read this one! Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this! I am going to be buying more books by her soon! I loved the twists and turns in this book. I loved Tabitha’s character but couldn’t stand Connor. He had some decent characteristics but I still feel like he’s not to be trusted. I would love to read a follow up to this book to see the next stage of Tabitha’s life. I will be telling everyone I can about this book and how they have to read it!

I read Campbell's Stranger on the Beach and had high expectations going into this one. The beginning with Nina's diary sucked me in right away and I had to keep reading until I got all my questions answered! Campbell's books are always great summer books. It was fun to read this over 4th of July weekend when a big part of this books happens to take place on the 4th of July.
At first I didn't really like either of the main characters- Connor and Tabitha. Tabitha was too obsessed with Connor who honestly is kind of a jerk. She gets better as the book goes on and gets smarter and more brave. The ending was not expected but I also had questions about it when I was done.
Overall I would definitely recommend! Thank you St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much was fast-paced and exciting thriller told from two different perspectives. The story sucks the reader in from the first page, leaving you with many questions through each part of the story. It was a quick read that will have you unable to stop at the end of every chapter, and leaves you wondering until the final pages. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!

The Wife Who Knew Too Much is one of those books you can't put down. It's a fast-paced thriller that's got plenty of gothic elements: a Gatsbyesque mansion by the sea, a ghostly baby's cries, an untrustworthy husband, murder and plenty of long-buried secrets. It also has a likeable working-class heroine who is thrust into a dangerous, glamorous world she doesn't understand.

Connor Ford was Tabitha Girard's first love and when he comes back into her life, the struggling waitress can hardly believe her luck. He's still gorgeous and is still passionately in love with her. And he's rich to boot. The only problem is he's got a wife – and not just any wife. No, he's married to The Nina Levitt. Nina may be 20 years older than Connor, but she's a smart, beautiful, powerful redheaded heiress who regularly graces the society pages (someone mentioned Julianne Moore, which I can definitely see, but I kept thinking of Susan Sarandon). Connor says he's going to leave Nina, but just...not yet. When Nina turns up dead after a lavish party, Tabby realizes her life with Connor can become a reality. But is his first wife's death a bit too convenient for comfort? Especially when Nina's diary foretells her death hours before it happens.

I enjoyed all the plot twists in this novel, even though I guessed several parts of the mystery very early on (which is why it gets 3.5 vs. 4 stars). Part of the reason I got caught up in the story was that I identified with Tabby's efforts to fit in with the ultra rich while searching for the truth about her first love. She knows her Old Navy and Target dresses won't cut it with the uber rich, but she has no clue what to buy or even what stores to visit (or rather, which stylist). She's slightly aghast at spending a grand on an outfit and tips everyone who helps her outlandish amounts. The person she bonds most with is her maid, not the well-coiffed vipers who surrounded Nina. Even Nina's dull but efficient assistant Juliet seems to dress and act the part, whereas Tabby becomes fodder for the paparazzi whenever she dares to leave the mansion. It doesn't take long for her to realize she's little more than a prisoner in a gilded cage – a gilded cage that most certainly doesn't belong to her.

The Wife Who Knew Much is a great beach read or maybe the ideal book to stash in your bag when you know you'll have some uninterrupted down-time at your disposal. It's quick and satisfying, with a great setting and a suspenseful mood from beginning to end. For me, the final chapters were a little over the top at times, but the story was still a lot of fun.

Much thanks to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As always, Michelle Campbell delivered! I could not put this down! It is not at all predictable... definitely keeps you guessing all the way to the end. When you think you know what's going on, you're wrong!

This is the first book by Michele Campbell that I have read and wow what a read it was. The story starts out with Nina's diary saying that if she dies unexpectedly her husband is to blame along with his girlfriend. Nina married into money years ago, her husband Edward was very wealthy but cheated on her. After he passed away she met Connor who was many years younger than she but she was in love and married him with a tightly formed pre-nup.

Years before Connor met Nina he was a school boy in love with Tabitha (Tabby) but due to unfortunate circumstances their romance didn't last longer than a summer.

Years later, while on a business trip back in his hometown, Conner runs into Tabby and the feelings they had came back......

I will leave it at that......to learn who ends up with whom and what happens to each you will just need to read the book.

Thank you to #netgalley #stmartinspress for approving this ARC for me. #itsnotagoodbookuntilsomeonedies

This is a perfect read for those looking to get caught up in a fast-paced, suspenseful, can't-stop-reading-it book!

I won't repeat the publisher's book blurb here, but Michele Campbell delivers another wonderfully consuming read with twists, turns, suspense, romance, rich vs poor, lies, betrayals and murder. It begs the reader to answer do you trust what your heart is telling you or do you trust what your brain is saying, knowing each choice is flawed?

My thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for allowing me to read a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. All opinions here are my own.
