“My husband is planning to kill me. For obvious reasons.”
The first chapter of this book gripped me right in and kept me captivated until the very last page.
Nina is a very wealthy women, living a luxurious life, married to Connor who is much younger than her and so in love but so insecure. She ends up dead in the first couple pages and it’s ruled a suicide.
Flashback 10 years to Tabitha, the girl who stole Connor’a heart many years ago, they never quite got over each other; and 10 years “now” he runs into her at a restaurant she waitresses at. They hook up, he swears he’ll leave his wife, and then all hell breaks loose.
Tabitha thought she’d love living his dreamy life until it becomes so dangerous and she doesn’t know who she can trust.
Was Nina’s death a suicide or a homicide? Who is the other woman? Is it Tabitha or is it someone else? I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. This was such a wonderfully written thriller. I highly recommend it!

I went into this one not knowing if I would like it but wow what a read. For most of the book I really didn’t care too much for the character however the story kept my interest and then I couldn’t put it down. The ending wasn’t what I wanted but I was satisfied with it. I highly recommend this book.
Thanks to NetGally for the arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Page turner that kept me guessing until the end. I was disappointed with the ending though. Connor didn’t have to die but they didn’t have to live happily ever after with all the money either. The ending just left me underwhelmed.
I wanted to love this book. I really did, but it reminded me of other books I read before with the same premise. I had high hopes because I did like some of the characters, but I feel like this is a story that has been told many times.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
I try to read two books at a time (physical book during the day & on my iPad at night). I could NOT stop thinking about this book! I literally put my life on hold until this book was complete! I feel like I have been reading a lot of the same storyline in thrillers lately, but this book was DIFFERENT. My mind was completely entertained as the story continued to take unexpected twists, going from the past to the present. I thought that the plot and the characters were very well developed. I really loved Tabitha's humble personality. The book was a fast-read for me, and I enjoyed that the chapters were shorter! This was the first book that I read by Michele Campbell and I look forward to reading more of her books.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Michele Campbell can write an amazing thriller.I was hooked immediately. Tabitha's life is turned completely upside down when an old boyfriend resurfaces. She thinks she knows him, but does she really? You will not put this one down.
Tabitha had her heart broken by Connor years ago. He was preppy and handsome, she was a pool girl at his country club. Years later he comes back into her life, older, richer and unhappy. He married for money a woman he never loved.
When Connor’s wife takes her own life, he’s finally free, they can finally be together, it all seems like the perfect fairy tale until Tabitha finds a diary. “If I die unexpectedly, it was foul play, and Connor was behind it.”
I’ve heard so many things about Michele Campbell’s previous books that when I saw this one I knew I had to read it.
I loved it, it was a quick, twisty, intriguing and a unputdownable thriller that I really enjoyed.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC ecopy for my Kindle.
Started out as a good mystery, suspense, romance novel but then the characters became somewhat boring and the sexual content ruined it for me.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much is going to be the perfect summer thriller! I read a lot of mystery books and can usually start to piece things together before the reveal, but author Michelle Campbell takes you on a wild ride and it is worth it.
I could not put this book down since I needed to know what really happened to Nina Levitt and what she knew before she died, was Connor really who Tabitha believed him to be, and what had Tabitha gotten herself into. Campbell is an incredible storyteller because on one page she made me trust a character and then on another threw me for a loop and had me guessing just like Tabitha who to trust. This was the first book I read by Campbell and now I’m eager to read more.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great thriller! Could not put it down. Lots of twists throughout, especially towards the last part of the book. Love anything by Michele Campbell.
I enjoyed reading Michele Campbell’s thriller, The Wife Who Knew Too Much: A Novel. Tabitha Gerard a struggling waitress in a small resort town reunites with a former lover, Connor Ford. He is a handsome, rich, unhappily married man. Tabitha becomes obsessed with Connor and the intrigue begins. Connor’s wife, Nina, takes her own life and he is free to marry Tabitha. Does he really lover her? Is he capable of loving her? What is his motive? The thrill begins when Tabitha discovers the truth about Connor and her life and freedom is in jeopardy. Loved this amazing mystery. It keeps you guessing right up to the end. This book was provided by Net Galley in exchange of my honest review.
Easily a quick read thanks to the author, Michele Campbell, who can weave between character storylines with ease. During the course of the book, I felt like I was rooting for each of the main characters at different times, only to be surprised by the outcome. Anything that provides the reader with a suspenseful ending is the sign of a successful thriller.
Special thanks to NetGalley and St. Martins Press for providing me with a free, electronic ARC of this title.

OH. MY. GOSH. idk how I keep getting and reading these books that are beyond captivating, but seriously I couldn't stop reading this book. There were a few reasons. I will say part of it was obvious to me on the whole 'who dunnit' but the motives were nothing that I could have dreamt. Some parts were but others.. just WOW like crazy just kept leaping off the page. So let's try to give a brief recap here for you.
*
Nina Levitt starts by writing an entry in her diary. The jist of it, 'if I am found dead, it was my husband and HER'. Well that's a good way to get my attention, it's always the husband right? Especially when they are set to gain MILLIONS. Nina was a smart woman; after being cheated on by her first husband (the one she got all her money from) who had died; she was skeptical to trust a man in that capacity again. Let alone Connor, her uber hot, twenty year her junior, playboy beau. So, again smart woman she was, had an air tight prenup. If he was found to have cheated or leave Nina he would get NOTHING. However, if Nina chose to leave him he stood to gain 10 million after the first 5 years of marriage; and anything 5 million ever year after. I'll repeat.... ALWAYS the husband right?
Well lets introduce a few other key players in this dynamic. You have Tabatha. A woman from Connors past. Young love that was not meant to last due to social standing. Connor happens into her diner one night and sparks start flying. Tabatha has a rocky past to say the least. Tough start in life, married a loser who got her in legal trouble that later comes to really haunt her. I really liked her... but at times I wanted to push through the pages and just shake some sense into her. Then you have Juliet, a meek young personal assistant to the late Nina Levitt who seems to always be around the corner.. and sometimes lurking where she shouldn't.
There's more to the story here. But imagine MILLIONS on the line. A woman dead, and the ex- husband is remarried within a few short months. You can do the math... but you should take the time to read this mind blowing tale.
This one was good!! It kept my interest and never saw the end coming! I liked the writer’s style. This was my first book by Campbell and I’ll definitely be reading more.
I found myself getting more and more pulled into this book. The characters are amazing and the twists don’t stop! This is my second book my Michele Campbell and it won’t be my last!
I love Michele Campbell’s books and this one is no exception. From the very beginning reading Nina’s diary entry I was sucked in and wanting to know what happened. Great story!
Tabitha fell in love with Connor one summer when she was just a teenager working at a country club. She fell head over heels and once things ended with him, she never really seemed to find love again. Connor ended up marrying a rich (and powerful) woman, while Tabitha was left in her hometown as a waitress. It all changes one day when Connor walks through her restaurant doors proclaiming that his marriage is a lie and he's always been in love with her.
WAIT, WHAT?!
This changes everything for Tabitha. How can she be with the man she's always loved if he's married and forcing her to keep it a secret due to a prenup. If he's caught cheating, he receives nothing from his millionaire wife. Is being quiet worth the money?
I thought I was learning the characters but at the end I wasn't sure who to trust or believe! You really think you know the characters and their motives then, BAM! Twist.
Loved every minute of this thriller love story.
Thank you Netgalley for an advanced copy in return for my honest review.
Tabitha and Conner had a past. Tabitha was barely getting by when Conner shows back up in her life. He is rich and good looking and still loves her. Tabitha and Conner end up having an affair and his wife Nina ends up committing suicide, or so they think. Full of twists and suspense.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the advance ecopy.
Michele Campbell have surely become one of my favorite authors when it comes to mystery thrillers and whodunnits. And The Wife Who Knew Too Much did not disappoint. Fast paced, edge of your seat, it’s 4:00 AM but I can’t put it down book. This is definitely the kind of book I like to read.
Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free, electronic review of this novel.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much is as much a mystery as it is a thriller. The book keeps you turning the pages and compels you to guess who might be the killer as it moves effortlessly into the past and present times.
The author weaves a complex web of suspects, motives, and opportunities that will keep you guessing till the end. It also brings the flavor of a thriller as Tabitha becomes a suspect and a victim at the same time.
With a little bit of action toward the end, the pace of the novel goes up a notch and brings the thrill of chase and survival scenario.
Overall, a book both Mystery readers and Action-Thriller readers will like. You definitely want to pick this up
