This book had all of the elements to make a good mystery: a mansion, money, fame, staff in the home, multiple spouses, an affair, and of course - death. As a teenager, Tabitha fell in love with Connor. A forbidden love, due to his family's power and a history between their grandparents. After many years and a divorce, their paths cross again. Tabitha had spent years seeing Connor and his wife - beautiful, elegant, and wealthy - in the tabloids. Now, Conner is sitting in her section at the restaurant where she works. The two spiral into an affair, but what happens when Connor's wife is found dead and her diary eludes to the fact that he may be to blame?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I was hooked from the first chapter. I enjoyed how it was told from the perspectives of Connor's wives, as well as through diary entries. Just as I thought that I had an idea of who was responsible, there were more twists to keep me guessing. I was completely shocked by the details that surfaced. I was a bit disappointed in the last chapter, but there was enough closure to satisfy me. I recommend to anyone looking for a captivating thriller.

WOW, what a story! I had to fight the urge to continue sitting and reading and not doing the things I needed to be doing. It's that good! I was hooked from page one and never, ever disappointed. Many times I thought I had the plot and characters figured out. However, the delicious plot twists and turns surprised me around every turn and they are sprinkled into the story purposefully and masterfully. This is sure to be an instant hit this Summer! I could NOT figure out what was real and what was deceit....and I say that in such a good, highly interesting, page turning type of compliment! I thoroughly enjoyed this story! It was dazzling!

The Wife Who Knew Too Much has it all: love, lust, infedilty, betrayal, money, lies, and murder. Nina married wealth but paid for it. Her new husband is cheating on her and she ends up dead in the pool. The new wife, Tabby, questions many things about her husband. Readers get to delve into the history of these relationships. I was surprised at the turn the story took and who was actually responsible for the mayhem.

I had really high hopes going into this one, but something about it just didn't work for me. Although this was a super twisty thriller, I found it was just alittle too slow for my likings. The beginning was good, slow, but good, but I got alittle lost in the middle. I found myself skimming a lot of it, because I just wasn't connecting. It wasn't until about 75% of the way through that it really started to pick up for me. We started to have a nice action packed thriller but just as quickly as it picked up, it instantly slowed back down for me. What I did enjoy though was the characters. Well, I should say I hated them, but I think they were supposed to be unlikable. I find I gravitate more to unlikable characters. I really just wanted to shake her and smack her upside the head and yell "hello, Tabby, use your brain, you're smarter than this". She got herself in a very tricky situation and I wasn't sure how she was going to get out of it. The little twist at the end was brilliant though, I did thoroughly enjoy that.

I've seen so many amazing reviews for this one. So although it didn't work for me, it doesn't mean it won't work for you! If you're looking for a slow-paced, light thriller, be sure to check this one out.

Michele Campbell is an author to watch out for. This book was so amazing with all its twists and turns, I couldn’t read it fast enough. I cannot wait to read more of her work

Tabitha had always been attracted to Conner. But as a teenager her family discouraged the relationship.

Tabitha and Connor reconnect years later when he shows up at her job. She is working as a waitress in her hometown while Conner is married to a wealthy widow.

Tabitha discovers she is pregnant. Nina , Conners wife drowns in her pool under mysterious circumstances.

Eventually Tabitha and Connor marry but things are not easy for Tabitha. She is living in a big house with people she is unsure she can trust. Tabitha is suspicious of everyone including her husband.

Things take a turn when Tabitha is arrested for Nina's death. It is up to Tabitha to save herself and the life of her baby. Things move swiftly as Tabitha tries to clear her name.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed and believable. I was on the edge of my seat while reading this book

Told from Tabitha's point of view. She was often a sympathetic character, although I thought she made poor choices.

I found myself getting caught up in the lives of the characters. The plot moves quickly with surprising twists and turns that I didn't see co

This book is filled with greed and second chances at love.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much was super twisty for me. But, I did find I didn’t care for the character too much as the story line progressed. Maybe it’s the decision makings each character made. The first half the book I couldn’t put it down, but the second half fell short for me. I found the story line to be a bit unbelievable in the second half, but that could be because I read a ton of thrillers. I did enjoy the very last twist of the book. But overall I would say I enjoyed The Wife Who Knew Too Much. I would recommend it to a thriller lover, it would a perfect beach read.

Couture, millionairess, and high stakes set this story up from the start while murder, manipulations, and secrets keep it going. With a varied cast of characters who aren’t all that they seem, this plot twisted and turned right up to the end. A decent suspense story that kept you thinking long after putting the book down.

First off I want to thank @netgalley, @stmartinspress & @michelecampbellbooms for my free advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow what a non stop thrilling, twisty, binge worthy family drama thriller. I absolutely devoured this book.

This book was so easy to read from beginning to end Campbell hooks you in and doesn't let you go. You'll be addicted and need to know where the story is going, what's happening! I truly hated Connor but that's what Campbell wanted you to feel and she succeeded. I was not expecting the story to be so twisty, entertwined. I can't reveal too much in order not to spoil anything for future readers.

I truly loved this one and the addictive writing. If you're a fan of Campbell, thrillers and twists definitely pick this one up.

I received this book from netgalley in exchange for a review.
I was instantly hooked by the title, telling my husband it's obviously a book about me. And then I started reading, and found many parallels. I was interested to learn that parts of it took place in New Hampshire, where I reside.
The book starts with the death of Nina, a wealthy woman, who had inherited from her former late, wealthy husband.
The book then varies from past to present, outlining the events that led to her death.
Her husband at the time of her death has gotten his old girlfriend pregnant.
They tried to keep those details Under Wraps, as he quickly marries her, after his wife's death is ruled a suicide.
But when events change, and cause the police to look a bit deeper, suspicion is moved to his new wife.
It was a pretty quick read, though parts of it we're not relatable , so I couldn't get into it as much. The ending seemed to wrap up rather quickly.

I received this advance readers copy for my unbiased review.and it was a struggle to get through this one. I take my status as a reviewer very seriously and strive to always finish every book. this one was difficult.
Poor girl meets rich boy..they fall in love..family breaks it up.... Many years later they meet by chance, now he is married to a very rich woman and Poor girl is single after a failed marriage to a no good ex....they spend the weekend together, falling in love all over again....now he must break up his marriage while preserving some financial gain from his marriage. this will take time due to prenup agreement.
but, alas poor girl turns out to be pregnant......rich wife dies/murdered/suicide? and now everyone blames rich boy and or poor girl......reads like a romance novel.
I give it two stars because it would be a good story if it had been written less romance novel and more like a whodunnit. The plot is actually a good idea with a twist

The Wife Who Knew too much is a great thriller! It kept me hooked and wanting to figure out the ending, which I did right before it was actually revealed. It has everything you want in a thriller love, lust, greed and murder. This is my favorite genre to read and this one didn't disappoint. It was my first book by Campbell and now I need to go read the others! Thank you Netgalley and St Martin's Press for allowing me to read an advanced readers copy.

I read this book in Kindle format, so I can say with confidence that the actual interesting story starts 70% of the way through the book. I struggled to get through most of this one ---- it was an over the top, melodramatic, poor girl steps into the white collar black tie world and I absolutely hated it.

That being said, once it gets into the actual meat of the plot (again, unfortunately that was 70% of the way through) it flies. After spending two days getting to that point I read the !say 30% in one sitting. Had the supercharged there and further fleshed out the situation it would have been amazing.

4.5 stars for Michele Campbell's latest! I have yet to be let down by Michele - she has quickly become an auto buy author for me!

I devoured The Wife Who Knew Too Much. So so so so good. It had everything that I look for in a thriller - page turning and captivating right from the beginning. Of course I was rooting for Tabitha the entire time but I felt Connor to be icky and slimy at times if I'm being honest. I think that's what Michele wanted though, Connors's character to be questioned.

I loved this one. Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for my e-ARC.

Tabitha and Connor were drawn together as teenagers. Connor was handsome and wealthy, and Tabitha was a pool girl from the other side of the tracks. No matter...their love was real. After a summer spent together in pure bliss, it ended just as quickly as it began, and Tabitha was left wondering how everything went so wrong. Fast forward almost fifteen years, and Connor reenters Tabitha's life one warm summer day. They reconnect, and discover their love is still strong. However, there is just one problem. Connor is married to a wealthy and powerful older woman, Nina. He yearns to escape the marriage, but is bound by the promise of wealth. When Nina's body is found after her annual 4th of July party, the questions begin to fly. Then, when Connor marries Tabitha shortly thereafter, it becomes obvious that Nina's death may not have been entirely accidental. Nina was a wealthy woman, and Connor had a lot to lose when she died.....or perhaps a lot to gain?
Tabitha is soon thrust into suspicion as well. It becomes clear to her that her new husband is hiding something. If Tabitha doesn't get to the bottom of it, and quickly, she may soon become an obvious suspect in Nina's death. It is soon a race against time for Tabitha as she tries to clear her name......and discover who the real killer is.
This was a quick read, but not my favorite of Campbell's. The characters were rather unlikeable, and I felt that the ending was rather rushed. However, for a beach read on a hot day, you really can't go wrong.

I absolutely loved it! Couldn’t put it down! I loved Tabitha, and really got pulled into her from the beginning. And that ending was definitely exciting 😄 I really enjoyed it, and I am definitely recommending it to my book club!

Michele Campbell knows how to hook you, and draw you in. This book certainly did that with the very first line. It's obvious from the title that no wife is safe, and you're left wondering if anyone at all can be trusted.

A wife dies, we know that from the beginning. And yes, we suspect the husband, that's the setup and it's way too easy - it's always the husband, right?

First, we meet Nina Levitt, who's diary entry reveals that she's about to serve divorce papers to her husband and that their prenup stipulates that he won't get a cent if he's caught cheating. She has proof that he has been cheating. She writes in the diary that if she dies, it's foul play and that her husband is responsible. She's found dead the next day.

Then we meet Tabitha, who's long-lost love is Connor, Nina's husband. They reconnect over Memorial Day weekend and profess their love for one another. Tabitha is now in deep once again with her love and longing for Connor, who promises to make things right by leaving his wife for her. But she has to lay low and wait because he doesn't want to trigger the prenup which would leave him with nothing.

So here we are, with Nina dead and Tabitha in love. Did Connor kill Nina to get out of the oppressive marriage without having to lose the money? Is Tabitha caught up in a murderous scheme that may end up costing her her freedom?

This was definitely a page-turner and a very quick and easy read. But it also became a tad predictable, and the ending left me feeling.. meh. Still, it was entertaining enough, especially these days, a little light thriller may be just what you need. So I would recommend it.
