Connor and Tabitha had a summer fling that didn't end well when they were teenagers. Years later Connor walks back into Tabitha's life and they pick up right where they left off. There's only one problem. Connor is married to the wealthy Nina Levitt and there's an ironclad pre-nup. If he initiates a divorce he is left with nothing. Will he walk away from millions to be with Tabitha? As it turns out, he doesn't have to make that choice since Nina was found dead in her pool from drowning. It was ruled suicide. Shortly after Nina's death, Tabitha and Connor get married but married life isn't so smooth as they navigate speculation and questions about what really happened to Nina.
I really wanted to like this book as I've loved all of Michelle Campbell's other books but I just couldn't. I found the beginning hard to read and slow moving. Tabitha frustrated me with her stupidity. Fortunately towards the end it did pick up for me and I did find Tabitha a little more likable.

I received a copy of THE WIFE WHO KNEW TOO MUCH on NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to the publisher and author.
Five stars and here’s why:
WOW! Just WOW! I really loved it and this book kept me up all night reading it. I suffered a serious book hangover! This domestic thriller/mystery has it all – love, cheating, lust, greed, and of course, murder. If you like excellent writing and fantastic plotting with a serious amount of twists that you won’t see coming, then this story is for you. Highly recommend.

This was a great mystery with alot of twists and turns. I liked the writing style and the characters were portrayed brilliantly. The Wife Who Knew Too Much was a book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend. Thank you netgalley for letting me give an honest review of this book.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much is a psychological suspense in the same vein as Gone Girl. For a lot of people that would be a plus for me, not so much. The main characters in this book are real hard to sympathize with as they are all cheaters of some sort and not real nice people. Unlike Gone Girl this book kept me reading just to see if karma catches up to them all. The plot does throw in some quick twists and turns to make the end of the book better than the beginning. The book is okay and I feel than people who like Gone Girl will probably love it but I am not in love or even like with this book. My voluntary, unbiased review is base upon a review copy from Netgalley.

Thank you for the advanced copy of this book. My reviews can be read on my GoodReads account here: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1335387-kelly

Thrilled to receive an invite to review the latest from Michele Campbell means this arc propelled to the top of my pile and I was happy to read a great domestic noir thriller with solid character development and a gripping story that piled on the suspense and suspects. And oh so many suspects in the possible murder of Nina, Connors husband who happens to be Tabithas schoolgirl crush and the guy who got away but who suddenly reappears as a bolt from the blue back into Tabithas rather humdrum life. Connor is gorgeous, sexy, smart and really really wealthy through his marriage. They spend a night together and their love rekindles. What could go wrong. His wife’s death for one thing. And oh so much more. Read this one right away - no disappointments here,

If you are the type of reader who gets impatient with characters for making dumb decisions, this is not your book. Almost every major character acts against his or her best interest, often repeatedly. Affair with a married man whom you've just seen dining with an anonymous beauty? Check. Tracking down said married man at his wife's mansion because he won't respond to your texts? Check. Waiting to act on damning evidence until after you poke around in a dark hallway, throw a party for all your enemies, or otherwise put yourself in terrible danger? Check, check, and check.
On the other hand, if you are the type of reader who forgives characters who act foolishly in service of the plot, you will probably enjoy this book. The settings are eerie and atmospheric, with echoes of Manderley and a crew of Mrs./Mr. Danvers to create tension and suspicion.
Many thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for the honest review.

This was an extremely enjoyable thriller with many twists and turns. I finished it in less than a day because I couldn't wait to find out whodunit. It has a lot of the traditionally fun elements of a classic noir, with many crosses and double crosses, and the ending was excellent. No reinventing the wheel here, but if you like domestic suspense, enjoy film noir, and you are aware of the rule that it's "Always the Husband" (I'll have to read this author's previous book now!) you will certainly enjoy this fun and clever mystery. Best possible suspense beach read and probably a really fun audiobook to listen to as well. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. Thanks to Michele Campbell, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for this fun escapist book.

Wow, this book will hook you from page one. Can you say twist?!
This book was fab! Thanks Netgalley for the Arc.

This book grabs your attention from the beginning. A love story mixed with deceit, suspense and a twist at the end that you won't see coming! A quick and satisfying read.

With a title that clunky, I didn't expect a lot from this novel but I vastly underrated it. Michele Campbell has done a great job of crafting a story that will have you on the edge of your seat. The first chapter made me think it was going to be another version of Gone Girl but it turned into a regular whodunit, if somebody did it.
The female main character, Tabitha, is my least favorite type of heroine. She is indecisive and lets life carry her along, without much purpose until this dramatic, life threatening situation changes everything.
The male main character, Connor, is quite stereotypical and flawed and I felt no real loss at his eventual end. He wasn't a bad guy but he wasn't a great guy either.
Despite this, the story was riveting. I was impatient while working out the clues, needing to know the particulars of the crime. This was my first work by Campbell but I'm going to seek out her other missiles since I enjoyed this one so much.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Tabith and Connor were in love the summer they met when they were teenager. Connor was rich and Tabith was just trying to make it by. There relationship was not accepted by his family so their lives move forward without each other. Then one day years later they meet again... Was this fate or was it planned. Tabith has no idea how much her life is about to change getting back together with Connor. Still rich but married! Then one day Connor's wife if dead and Tabith is pregnant... the few months late in her life she questions everything and everyone. Can she survive the life that she has started for her and her child? Does she really know that Connor didn't kill his wife... this is one you have to read to find it. Well worth it! Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to review this book. .

As if Stranger on The Beach wasn't enough, The Wife Who Knew Too much is just as captivating and mind twisting. Although it took me a little bit to get into the characters this book was full of twists and surprises. I loved this summer thriller and the way you were constantly who was and wasn't involved. The character development really had me feeling for each of them and it wrapped up perfectly. Usually, when reaching the end of such a good thriller, I feel disappointed in the ending, but this was one was beautiful. I will be recommending this one all summer long.

Overall another great read from Michelle Campbell. A plot full of twists and turns, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The main reason this wasn’t a 5 star read for me would be the character development or lack thereof. Connor was cruel and domineering, and Tabitha seemed quite naive and sometimes downright stupid in the choices she made and in her lack of understanding about what was going on around her. Frustrating as this was at times, the story was still suspenseful and unpredictable. Thanks to NetGalley for the digital Advanced Readers’ Copy.

In return for an honest review, I received an advanced copy of this book. This is a nice, fast read. It’s not predictable. Tabitha and Connor were sweethearts in school. He leaves and she doesn’t see him for years. He shows up at the restaurant where she works, and old flames burn. His wife dies. A suicide, apparently. But was it? Who wants Tabby to go to jail? Could it have been a suicide? I think this book could be a movie too. There aren’t so many characters that you get lost. Read this.

Wow! I couldn’t put it down! The Wife Who Knew Too Much was such a compelling read! It was a perfect mixture of suspense, thriller, and mystery!
What makes this book different from others and why would anyone care?
This book was different from others because the author wrote with such perfection and clarity about each of the characters that it was easy to see them all as suspects. I think people would enjoy it even more than reading a book where you’re simply trying to decide between 2 or 3 people. The author had enough characters to keep me interested and guessing, but not so many that I couldn’t remember the details. Some characters had minor roles, but even the minor characters had motives. I loved the back and forth flow of the timeline too. Altogether it was just a very compelling and fantastic book!
Plot: Tabitha and Conner met and fell in love when they were teenagers, but it wasn’t meant to be. Years later, Tabitha is working as a waitress in the same town she grew up in. It had been over a decade since she had seen Conner. In that time she had married and divorced a man named Derek, and was glad to keep her past behind her, During that time, Conner married a woman well above his age (Nina Levitt). Nina had previously been married to a multimillionaire who passed away, and therefore inherited his incredible fortune and business. After his passing, Nina met Conner and within a few months they were married. One evening when Tabitha was working, Conner showed up in her restaurant and it brought back the flood of memories and intensity of their teenage love. He was married, but claimed he still loved Tabitha and that he and Nina were going to get a divorce. Tabitha always held onto her love for Conner, the only true love she’d ever felt, and promised to wait for him until his divorce with Nina was finalized. Plans didn’t go accordingly though because Nina was found dead in the pool at their mansion...and, of course, then there were the obvious and not so obvious suspects. Who could be trusted? Who was covering up secrets? Who was lying? Did everyone have a secret? Yes, everyone had secrets! Some were just bigger and more dangerous than others. Be prepared for a wild roller coaster of a ride with this book! I’m definitely a fan now and will be getting other books by Michele Campbell. Thank you Netgalley, the author, and publisher for allowing me to read this free preview copy. My review is voluntary, and my opinions expressed are honest. I loved it, and appreciate you allowing me the adventure of reading it!

Well, this one certainly checked a lot of boxes, It's a coming of age love story that turns into a suspense/thriller. Who could ask for more than that? OK, you want more? Have you been to the Hamptons? Are you a fan of the area or do you like stalking the rich and famous? Well, this story follows a small town New Hamshire girl and how she meets Connor, the right boy, but, also of the country club set. You can't help but like Tabitha, she would be your friend, she's got a big heart, and sometimes, as a friend, you really want to yell and scream at her for being so stupid! But, the heart wants what the heart wants. #thewifewhoknewtoomuch #netgalley

This book had me racing through the pages and thinking about it when I was not reading it! I really wanted to talk with someone about what was happening in this book. I still want to talk with someone about what happened in this book. I have so many thoughts but not many that I can share here.
In this novel we have a main character who is honestly astoundingly naive, a wife who died of a mysterious circumstances, and a secretive man loved by both. There are many turns this novel takes and these turns kept me from wanting to put the book down. There were only about 100 moments where I said, "WHAT are you DOING??". It is Bad Choices City.
Truthfully, part of the mystery may be a little too easy to guess and I have rather mixed feelings about the end. Yet, the fact that I could not put it down and even now STILL want to talk about someone about what happened tells me this is a thriller to recommend.

Tabitha is waitressing at her local dive bar when her former summer fling, Connor, walks back into her life. Their romance was short lived and only lasted one summer, but it was the best summer of her life and one she thinks about constantly. Connor was her first true love and she never forgot about him. He is now all grown up and more handsome than ever. He's also more married than ever. His wife is the high profile and super rich Nina Levitt. Even though Connor claims he is unhappy in his marriage, Tabitha knows she can never compete with Nina. After a weekend alone with Connor she thinks she may have a chance. Her chances increase after Nina's suicide. Connor and Tabitha start to see more of each other and eventually their romance becomes public knowledge. Tabitha moves into Nina's old life. Full of riches, exotic getaways, and secrets. Tabitha starts to wonder if Nina really committed suicide, or is something more sinister behind her death. The staff is tight lipped, but Tabitha is determined to find out the truth, and find out if Connor has been lying to her the whole time.
This was a tough book for me to rate. It was a very easy read and one that I didn't want to put down, but one that bugged me the whole time I was reading it. I didn't like any of the characters. Tabitha was naive and made a lot of stupid decisions that didn't make much sense. Connor couldn't take responsibility for anything that Tabitha was going through and I thought the "twist" at the end was pretty predictable. Instances were spelled out and talked about in way more detail than would ever happen in real life. *Spoiler Ahead* The way Nina's diary was written was unrealistic. Who is going to be drugged but then be able to grab their diary and write down whole conversations? Despite the fact that I was annoyed by little details like that I still wanted to finish the book to see how it turned out. The story in itself was a good one, I just didn't love the overall writing style.

I really liked this book. I was hooked from the very beginning. Lots of twists and turns. I will be looking forward to the next book by this author. I would definitely recommend it.
