ok wow.... I need a moment to gather my thoughts.
This is a roller coaster of a read. I started reading it and would put it down, well because my head right now is all over the place, but now that I'm at home, I was all into this book. OMG Conner - you went from being a total jerk to my hero at the end - hope that is not a spoiler.
I love how Tabitha, who showed poor judgment in her youth and in her adult life, all for Love, survives all this and finally has the life she wants. She was young and naive when she fell in love with Connor Ford and Jilted and Stupid when she got back together with him. But Love does that doesn't it.
I want to so badly tell you who the evil people are, but I can't ruin it that way - but let's just say that Winswept has secrets and both Edward and Nina were not nice people. Tabitha is set up to take the fall for Nina's death and luckily, in the end all charges are dropped.
Please read this book - only because he has so many twists and turns.
thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read this book.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much by Michele Campbell was an interesting thriller. It started off strong with a letter from Nina, Connor's wealthy wife, pointing the finger at Connor and his girlfriend should Nina be found dead. Of course, she's found dead, and the plot twists and turns from there.
I struggled to get through this one. Connor and his girlfriend Tabitha were not characters that I liked, connected with or came to care about. They were one dimensional and whiny. Nina was just stupid...really, just up and marry a guy you know nothing about except that he most likely is a gold digger? Not the move of the canny businesswoman she's supposed to be.
I found the plot unbelievable and plodding. I would give this one a skip, although a lot of people seemed to like it!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this ARC.
Michele Campbell is one of my favorite authors.
I loved this book. The book was hard to put down. It kept you guessing .

Calling all veteran and newbie thriller readers! You will enjoy this fast paced and twisted story about long lost love and murder for love and money.
I will say most of this was sort of predictable but not in the way you think. I could foresee who was behind the murder but everything else I was constantly going back and forth. So for you veteran readers, you may finally enjoy a story where you don’t foresee 80% of the plot. Hallelujah!

At first, I thought I was reading A Stranger on the Beach again. Nora, a very wealthy woman with a huge house on the beach has discovered a secret. And after her huge party tonight she is planning on confronting her cheating husband and his love.
But Nora is smart. She has a diary and records it all. Including the bit about her husband planning to kill her.
Meanwhile, for some reason, her cheating hubby, Connor, is in a small town his family used to come to on vacation. It's there that he met and had a summer fling with a local girl, Tabitha. He was the one who got away for her. And when he walks into her diner, she falls hook, line, and sinker for his bull.
When she comes up pregnant and shows up at the big party at Nina's house, Hoping to find Connor and give him the good news. But Conner is playing a different game with someone else hoping to get his hands on Nina's money.
Tabitha is in her mid-thirties and should know better but she acts like a simple-minded child and it's not a good look. Who is Connor? Does he care about her or anyone but himself? It's not looking like it.
Honestly, I didn't care for a single character. Not even Nina. In my own opinion, I felt like it was the same book as the last one with name changes.
Give it a try and see what you think.

This was a firm 4.5 stars, raised to a 5. Tabatha, when she was in high school, got involved with Connor, a rich kid from the country club. They broke up when he went to college, Tabatha married and divorced. Years later she is waitressing at a local eatery when Connor comes in with another woman. They resume their relationship over a long weekend. Afterwards Tabatha learns Connor is married to a fabulously wealthy woman and Tabatha is pregnant. When she goes to his wife’s home in the Hamptons to confront him, Tabatha is stopped by security and sees that her ex has followed her and is also present. Connor’s wife is found dead in the swimming pool and the story proceeds from there. I won’t go further I into the plot because of spoilers, but it is quite well done and will keep the reader engrossed. Thanks to Net Galley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC for an honest review.

3.75 Stars
Twisty, Turny and just plain Outrageous!
When Tabitha lost Connor, her first love, when she was a teenager, she never imagined that she’d get him back. The day that Connor Ford waltzed back into her life, everything changed. Tabitha is a down on her luck waitress. Connor is an uber successful businessman who is married to Nina, a very wealthy older woman. An older woman who is positive that she is going to be murdered by her husband for her money. Nina, you see, kept a diary and in it, she foretold of her death.
Ah, how mysterious. Of course, Connor and Tabitha can’t keep their hands off each other and Nina, well, poor Nina. Or should I say, poor Tabitha? What did she get herself into?
“The Wife Who Knew Too Much” was a crazy, mysterious, twisty thriller that started out strong and really kept my interest. As the novel progressed however, it became somewhat campy. Tabitha’s character frustrated me a tad - the intensity of her feelings towards Connor, given the circumstances made me roll my eyes a tad. That aside, I love how Michelle Campbell completely drew me into the lives of each and every character and got me totally invested in their machinations. This novel entertained me and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout and that made it totally worth it.
This was another buddy read with Kaceey!
Thank you to St. Martins Press and Michelle Campbell for the arc.
Published on Goodreads on 4.5.20.

Another chilling tense grabbed me from the first pages by this terrific author.Ibsat down to read a few pages and wound up reading late into the night.Highly recommend this book and anything by this author,#netgalley#st.martins

This was a great thriller which kept me turning the pages until the very end. When Connor Ford reunites with his childhood sweetheart, he’s married to a wealthy older woman who he claims to not love. The book has twists and turns and leaves you wondering who you can trust, and who is holding deep dark secrets.
I highly recommend this thriller to those new and old to the thriller genre. It was solidly written and kept my interest the whole time! I flew through it in a day!

Great book I liked it a lot
I was a huge fan of A Stranger on the Beach so I was super excited to be approved for this book. Thank you NetGalley
This one gripped me from the first page; I was immediately sucked into Nina's diary entry.. Then the twist and turns of this book one after another.
Easy ready.
I love reading Michele Campbells books
Thank you again. I hope everyone likes it as much as I did

Imagine if the person that you were shipping in high school (and madly in love with) walks into your life 13 years later. That's what happened to Tabitha. This down-and-out recently divorced waitress hooks up with her high school crush Connor and she falls in love with him all over again. Tabitha finds herself in the middle of Nina and Connor's messy marriage, with a few jaw-dropping secrets of her own. She is the mistress and I was ready to hate her, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for her destitute lifestyle, her naivete, and her gullibility. Tabitha believed every word that everyone told her - hook, line, and sinker - and that's what gets her in trouble.
Michele Campbell's 4th book has everything that I love in her stories: complex characters, glitz, glamour, mystery, and situations that remind us that nothing is what it seems. There is a good mix of likeable and unlikeable characters and sometimes my opinion of then changed as the story goes on and more layers are revealed.
The story is told from multiple timelines and perspectives: Nina's, Connor's, and Tabitha's so that the reader gets the full picture. The multiple timelines were a great angle into the story.
This book is about manipulation, secrets, lies, betrayal, greed, family, marriage, motherhood, money, and temptation. It's a fast, easy read with a nice pace. The book ends up being a whodunnit, and the ending was an unexpected surprise that made me gasp. Michele Campbell is an excellent writer that weaves fascinating, magnetic, layered characters around a complex plot that keep readers riveted. This story is one that you don't want to miss. Well done MIchele Campbell! She knocked it out of the park, again.

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review
This one was pretty twisty- some more obvious than others but still an enjoyable ride. 3.5 rounded up.

Well, bravo to Michelle Campbell for supplying a fantastic domestic thriller. The plot is fast paced and set to elicit just the right amount of intrigue. The reader is easily absorbed into the storyline from the first sentence to the last. It is hard not to feel every twist and turn Campbell takes right in the center of your chest. Loved it!
Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC of #TheWifeWhoKnewTooMuch, which was read and reviewed voluntarily by @wayward _readers

The Wife Who Knew Too Much is the latest book by Michele Campbell. As with all of Ms Campbell's stories The Wife Who Knew Too Much is a page turner with edge of your seat moments. I'm looking forward to the next read by this author. I want to thank Net Galley and St Martin's Press for an early copy of this book to review.

This was the first book by Michele Campbell that I had read & now I can’t wait to read the rest. This book was quick to catch my attention & continued to do so throughout the whole book. The chapters were fairly short which I like & the story was very fast paced & I never felt like it was dragging anything out. This book has everything you need to be successful in my opinion.

Well, this book did not turn out like I thought it would. I have really enjoyed It's Always the Husband, but I feel like a completely different author wrote The Wife Who Knew Too Much. And unfortunately I did not enjoy it.
The beginning of the book was great, I was sucked in the minute Nina started with her desperate letter. And then once you a bit deeper into Tabby's story it just falls apart. The writing leaves much to desire and I feel like Connor and Tabby's relationship is extremely childish, sophomoric at best. They just do not act or converse like grown adults do.
I really hope this book just didn't work for me and I'm in the minority. I will definitely pick up another book by Michele and give her another try, but obviously this one did not work for me.

"I'm writing this to raise an alarm in the event of my untimely death. This is hard to admit, even to myself. For obvious reasons. He's in love with someone else. And he wants my money."
With an opening like that you just know you're about to embark on a wild and crazy ride.
While working a summer job at a local country club during her teen years, Tabitha falls hard for Connor. But they come from different sides of the track, so his grandmother forbids their relationship and their romance fizzles out.
Fast forward to many years later when Connor walks into the restaurant where Tabitha works. Life hasn't been kind to her , but he's still as rich and gorgeous and she remembers him. They quickly realize there are still fireworks between them. But... Connor is married to Nina, a beautiful, wealthy, powerful woman. And well, if you want to know what happens next, then you must read The Wife Who Knew Too Much.
This is my third Michele Campbell book, and I really enjoy her writing, which I often find to be rather thrilling and gripping. However, I felt like the timeline in this book was a bit choppy and there was time/information missing that could have been useful or helpful. The plot starts out strong, but slows down rather steadily as the story progresses. Also, Tabitha and Connor are not at all likable characters. For adults, the amount of terrible decisions they make is ridiculous. Tabitha is incredibly naive and Connor is a colossal asshole. Honestly, I struggled to understand what Tabitha sees in him and why she loves him so much. Did I mention he's an asshole?! And the two of them together, well... they made me roll my eyes more times than I care to admit.
Overall, I found this book entertaining and it kept me coming back, but it wasn't my favorite from this author. However, I will look forward to her next book with much anticipation.
Special thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and the author for sending me an electronic ARC in exchange my honest review.

I enjoyed this book. It was fun to switch back and forth between Nina's voice and the main character, Tabitha, I will say that the ending didn't really come together for me. I ended the book still feeling like Connor was sneaky and shady even though he's supposed to be innocent. Also, the link between Gloria and her daughter could have been developed a bit more. I would have liked some conversations between Gloria and Tabitha after the diary was read. And it seems unrealistic for Nina to be able to write about her murder in a drugged state right before her murder. She could barely walk and know where she was but she could write in a journal? Also I thought Derek would make another appearance. He was developed in the beginning but then never became a key player after that at all. The book was good but there were some holes. Like It's always the Husband better but i still enjoyed it!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much is about a woman named Tabitha who has a unforgettable romance in her teenage years with a boy out of her league. She never forgets him. They are reunited many years later by chance. He is already married to a fabulously rich woman. When that woman turns up dead, Tabitha gets thrown into that rich and crazy world. The death is ruled a suicide to start but eventually police believe she was murdered. It is up to Tabitha to clear her and her husband’s names. There are many twists and turns in this book which made it very hard to put down. The writing was fantastic. I wouldn’t expect any less from Michele Campbell. The story was written beautifully and all loose ends are tied up by the end of it. I would 100% recommend to anyone who loves a good mystery.
