The Wife Who Knew Too Much is the first book that I've read by Michelle Campbell. It starts off with a bang with Nina's diary entry stating "My husband is planning to kill me. For obvious reasons. He's in love with someone else. And he wants my money." How could you not be compelled to keep reading after a beginning like that? As the book progressed, it became predictable at times and the main characters weren't likeable. Tabitha was very naive and Conner simply interested in money. Despite this, I think the book well written and it kept me interested enough to keep reading until the end.
2.5 Stars for The Wife Who Knew Too Much , by Michele Campbell .
This started off quite interesting but quickly became more of a romance novel with a fairly week storyline for me. I lost interest early into the book. I could not emphasise with the characters at all
Just not my style of book, but thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press and the Author for an early copy in exchange for my review
Wow! Loved this suspenseful tale of love, and glamour, and money, and deceit, and murder! Tabitha and Connor have a true love but also have major obstacles to overcome, such as Connor's incredibly wealthy older wife, and a mysterious friend from Connor's college years. Michele Campbell takes her readers on a ride full of twists and turns, and ends the book with an unpredictable and satisfying ending. I read this book in record time, and highly recommend it to all mystery lovers!
Thank you, NetGalley for letting me read this fun book!
I received this book "The Wife Who Knew Too Much" from NetGalley and all opinions expressed are my own. Always an awesome book from Michele Campbell. This book has lots of twists and turns and you will not be able to put it down. Surprise ending! Though I wished it had ended differently for him and the story could have gone a different way. It was very sad at the end.
This book was chilling and intense. It kept me on the edge of my seat. It had twists and turns that kept me wanting more.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
This book had so many twists and turns and while I saw some of the reveal coming I was not prepared for the whole ending! Connor is married to Nina who is a socialite with more money than he has ever seen, but he is her second husband and she mistrusts him based on her first husbands misdeeds. She may have reason to mistrust him as no one in her life is who they say they are so when she is found dead the plot just gets thicker. A great read!
If you haven't read any of Michele Campbell work, you must check her out! She is becoming one of my favorite writers!! In her last work, The Wife Who Knew Too Much, Campbell captures you from page one and takes you on a suspenseful, keep-you-guessing ride! You meet Tabitha, a hard working woman who is down on her luck and in walks Conner. The boy from her past. Bur sadly enough, Conner is married to a very rich woman. I am sure you can guess where this goes. I thought I had the book figured out but Campbell has a way of twisting and turning the story just when you think you have it.
Overall, a fabulous book. Perfect for this time of year with the rain and sickness going around. I will continue to check out Michele Campbell's work and will be recommending this book to others! Special Thanks to NetGalley, Michele Campbell, and St. Martin's Press for the advance digital copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book kept me on edge the whole time. Has such a surprise ending i had to read again to comprehend the whole thing! I love this author!
Campbell did it again...making me guess til the end.
I don’t want a thriller to just be thrilling- I want it to shock me and have a good twist or two in there and that’s exactly what she brings.
Rich woman meets young playboy and falls for him. They marry and she mysteriously dies. Prenup says he gains nothing if found having an affair or involved in her death.
What happens when hunky young husband has not only an affair but looks suspicious in her death? And a quick new marriage is revealed?
The Wife Who Knew Too Much started off quick and never stopped!! I went in thinking I would/would not like certain characters and was shocked to find myself jumping back and forth the entire time. There were plot twists I NEVER saw coming and I loved that it kept me on my toes. Thank you so much to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for my honest review.
This thriller revolves around a women named Tabitha who reconnects with her childhood crush Connor. The only problem? He’s married to a very wealthy woman named Nina with an ironclad prenup. After a weekend spent together, he promises to find a way out of the marriage and the two part ways. Fast forward a couple of months and Nina is found dead in their swimming pool. The police rule suicide. But was it suicide or something more sinister?
Tabitha and Connor marry and move into the huge mansion previously inhabited by Connor and Nina. Slightly uncomfortable around the staff, Tabitha is ready for her happily ever after with Connor. But then Connor starts acting weird and becoming distant. Tabitha starts wondering what really happened to Nina that night. Did Connor have something to do with her death? Is Tabitha is danger? Then she finds Nina’s diary......
What I liked: The story opened with Nina’s diary entry, which definitely peaked the reader’s interest about what actually happened to her. It was definitely a fast read. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of the characters whose intentions I questioned throughout the entire story, turned out to be a good person in the end. The ending was a little sad, but did provide closure for the main characters.
What I didn’t like: Tabitha was super naive and didn’t always make smart decisions. I found myself yelling at her in my head to run away and stop being so gullible. I found a lot of the story predictable. I figured out who the “bad guy” was about halfway through the story although I didn’t know the why until closer to the end. I also understand why the author did what she did with one of the main characters at the end, but I feel like I would have liked the story better had it not happened (sorry it’s hard to talk about without spoiling anything 😉).
Overall a good thriller! Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC of this book!

First off, let me just say ‘Thank You’ to NetGalley for approving me for my first ARC and giving me a copy of this book for a review!
I’m a H U G E Michelle Campbell fan and have read all of her books to date, so I was super excited when I got approved for this! 💥💥💥💥💥💥
Synopsis: Tabitha Girard had her heart broken years ago by Connor Ford. He was preppy and handsome. She was a pool girl at his country club. Their affair should have been a summer fling. But it meant everything to Tabitha. Years later, Connor comes back into Tabitha's life―older, richer, and desperately unhappy. He married for money, a wealthy, neurotic, controlling woman whom he never loved. He has always loved Tabitha. When Connor’s wife Nina takes her own life, he’s free. He can finally be with Tabitha. Nina’s home, Windswept, can be theirs. It seems to be a perfect ending to a fairy tale romance that began so many years ago. But then, Tabitha finds a diary. "I’m writing this to raise an alarm in the event of my untimely death," it begins. “If I die unexpectedly, it was foul play, and Connor was behind it. Connor―and her.” Who is Connor Ford? Why did he marry Nina? Is Tabitha his true love, or a convenient affair? As the police investigate Nina’s death, is she a convenient suspect? As Tabitha is drawn deeper into the dark glamour of a life she is ill-prepared for, it becomes clear to her that what a wife knows can kill her.
Review: I LOVED this book. You didn’t see the ending coming AT ALL and Michelle really knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put this down. I absolutely loved Tabitha and Connor from the beginning and was rooting for them the whole time. Every guess that I had as to how this book ended was wrong. And I absolutely love that about a book. I love when it hooks me and keeps me guessing up until the very last page. I loved how you got to see both sides of the story unfold from both sides. Overall, I would highly recommend this book! **************************************
Be sure to pick up a copy in June 2020!!

I am a fan of Ms. Campbell’s books, and was excited to read her latest. The book begins ominously, and the story unfolds. This is a good story with lots of interesting characters and lots of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. Recommended!
Tabitha is reunited with her high school boyfriend, Connor, “the one who got away.” When they marry, she feels like her fairy tale has come true . . . until she reads the mysterious diary entry of Connor’s dead wife, who claims that an unnamed woman was out to get her. Soon Tabitha’s world comes crashing down as she tries to determine who she can actually trust.
I’ve read and enjoyed all of Michele Campbell’s books and find her to be a consistently excellent writer who takes on a wide variety of settings in her employment of plots. This one takes us into the world of ultra-rich Long Islanders, a sordid, cutthroat world. There are several twists and turns along the way making this a fun, fast read.
Many thanks to Netgalley, St. Martin’s Press and Michele Campbell for my complimentary e-copy ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
The story is interesting enough, but I was so irritated by the frequent mention of the man's ravishing good looks and captivating eyes. The writing reminds me of books written for very young teens.
I'm sorry but this book was not for me.
Thank you, Netgalley and St. Martin's Press, for the ARC. This is my honest review.
This book is quite the page turner! It hooked me from the first page and had me going until the end. The story has enough plot twists and turns to keep you guessing until the last page! Definitely recommend for a quick thriller of a read!
Thank you to netgalley for the arc in exchange of an honest review.
Michele Campbell has done it again! This book was AMAZNG!
It begins with a woman named Nina who is writing a note saying if she is found dead her husband and his girlfriend had committed the murder. We alternate between three timelines and two viewpoints. One with Nina and Tara.
Tara is a young woman who is down on her luck. She works at a local restaurant waitressing. She is divorced, no children, and no family except for an ex-husband who is in jail. Her life changes when her boyfriend from years past shows up. He was always the one who got away.
They begin their relationship again even though Tara knows he is married. What follows is a series of hardships and questions for Tara who becomes very confused. Soon she begins to fear for her life because nothing is making any sense. The more she questions the more things do not add up.
This book was soooo good! You think you know where this story is going but you actually have no idea! This is one of the reasons why I love Michele Campbell so much. She alway surprises you!
Enjoyed the suspense and I thought I had figured it out the ending but the twists surprised me! I honestly couldn’t put it down, this book was very fast paced and the details made for a great read!
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of The Wife Who Knew Too Much.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much is your standard domestic drama; a wronged wife, a mistress, family drama and secrets.
I don't mind a stereotypical drama provided it holds all the necessary elements; interesting characters, intriguing premise and twists I don't see coming, but I didn't like this as much as I hoped.
The main character, Tabitha, is a silly woman, both when she was young and years later, when she is an adult. It's hard to believe the decisions she made. They were downright stupid.
It was also difficult for me to believe in her relationship with Connor. They profess to love each other but I can't see why. There's no rapport or similarities between them.
In fact, the author spends an inordinate amount of time talking about how hot and buff Connor is. Naturally, only ugly people exist in real life, never in books.
There were too many hard to suspend disbelief moments, notably the "twists" and the coincidence of how Connor met Nina, got a job at her company, etc.
All the characters were unlikable and possessed no redeemable qualities, not even a negative redeemable quality like being unusually sly or cunning.
The ending was Lifetime-y, predictable and sort of happy ever after.
Some people might enjoy this book very much, but this wasn't for me.
