This was a fast paced read. I was hooked from the first page. Tabitha was an easy character to like. I did find myself getting a little frustrated with her trust of some others in this book. She was kind and down to earth and really just wanted to be with Connor. I even liked NIna, the brief interaction we had with her in this book.

This book has some interesting twists. I was happy to see that maybe not everyone was the villain that you were lead to believe he/she was. My heart broke for Tabitha. I was impressed by her courage and her strength. I thought the ending was perfect.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was a good mystery with enough suspense to keep the reader interested. I did not like the ending of the book and none of the characters had any redeeming qualities. However, neither of those lowers my rating. This is a book which I would recommend to others.

Oh, what a twisty read! Michele Campbell once again delivers a thriller with a fascinating premise, intriguing characters, a whiplash pace--sprinkled with the detonation of lots of surprises along the way. A rapid-fire suspense read!

This is the third book that I have read by this author, and I think she just keeps getting better and better. This book is mostly told in first person, by narrator Tabitha, with occasional flashbacks or scenes written from another's perspective. I couldn't put this one down, even to sleep. I was a bit saddened by the ending, but after I thought about it, the book couldn't (and shouldn't, probably) have ended any other way. I've enjoyed past books by Michelle Campbell, but The Wife Who Knew Too Much cemented her spot on my must-read list. Definitely a must read.

I loved, loved, loved this book! It was twisty and suspenseful and a very enjoyable read. Half of the book is told through both of Connor Ford's wives and I really liked both characters. I can't wait for her next book!!!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

I read this book in just a few hours and enjoyed every minute of it. I read a lot of thrillers and can usually figure the twists out pretty early. This one kept me guessing until the very end, which I greatly appreciate.

My favorite Michelle Campbell book to date! I couldn’t stop reading this!
Twists and turns on every page and I thought I figured it out but I didn’t! I loved Tabby!!!! Her character was amazing and I felt everything she went through!
I always look forward to Campbell’s books and I’m so glad to have received an advanced copy from Netgalley! Definitely put this on your TBR shelf for June 2020!

Interesting story that explores the "What If" of a first love coming back in the main characters life. The killer of the story was not who I predicted and I consider a book a good read if that is the case. I would be interested to read some of the authors other books as the author, Michelle Campbell did a great job building a story I was interested in. Thank you to the author, Netgalley and publisher for allowing me to read this ARC.

I was into this book right from the very start. I really enjoyed Michele Campbell’s earlier novel, A Stranger On The Beach and was really excited to get pre-approved for her new book. This book took me on a wild ride this week. I read a lot of mystery/thriller novels and I can often see the twist or ending coming before it happens. With this novel, I really had no idea what was going to happen and this definitely kept me wanting more.

I do have to say that the end of the book felt a little rushed to a resolution, but I was mostly satisfied with the ending. I didn’t feel very connected with any of the main characters in the book, which can sometimes make it hard for me to get into a story, but with this novel, it felt like the characters were designed to be kind of aloof and unlikable, it made it more about the storyline and what happens.

If you like psychological thrillers in the vein of Gone Girl, you’ll definitely like this novel.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much by Michele Campbell was such a fast paced read! It was a true thriller! I found myself fully immersed in the story line and needed to keep going to find out more. I had a few hunches throughout the story, but wasn’t exactly right at the end, which is one of my markers for an excellent read.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns this book took, the characters, and the unexpected happenings. It pulled me in from the first few sentences and every chapter left me wanting more. There were a few plot holes in the story that I found slightly irritating, but not enough to ruin the book for me. This is a solid 4 stars. I will definitely read more from this author.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the electronic ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

This book was an okay read for me. The only reason I rated it a 3 was because it was very predictable. It was written beautifully with great characters and I enjoyed most of it but with it being predictable, it didn't have the same affect it would have had. Still worth the read though.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I gave this book 3 stars. I wish that I liked this book more but to be honest, it was a little predictable save for one surprise at the end, bringing it up to 3 stars for me. Also, it was well written by the author.

This book had an awesome cover and I was excited to read it and grateful for the opportunity but the storyline was a little played out. Poor girl, meets rich boy, they fall in love and then get separated, only to be reunited years later. But Connor, the boy (now a man) has some secrets and Tabitha, the girl finds out he still loves her but he also loves MONEY (and don't we all)! Except, Tabitha only wants him and doesn't fit into that world.

When they find each other again, Connor is married to Nina Levitt, a rich widow and then the whirlwind ensues. A little too predictable for my taste. I felt like I knew where the story was going. Still there are a few surprises left. I'm sorry, my honest opinion is 2 1/2 rounded up to 3 stars. I couldn't wait to finish so I could read something else.

But, a great big thank you for the ARC copy from St. Martin's Press, NetGalley, and I will read more from Michelle Campbell, the author.

This was a quick enjoyable domestic thriller. The author did a good job building suspense and making several characters unreliable, so different plot twists kept me from predicting the ending.

Wow! What a ride!!! A wild page flipping novel that hooked me from the first page! Mystery, lies, deceit, betrayal. Even the housekeeper has a dark secret. Who can you trust in Windswept, the all consuming mansion that held so many secrets and lies.

"Some things are too good to be true."

Who stood the most to gain by murdering Nina Levitt? They all did in one way or another. And Conner Ford, who exactly is he? Is he capable of murder and using people?
Michelle Campbell is an amazing author and I look forward to reading many more of her novels.

Thank you to Publisher and NetGalley for the eARC

In Michele Campbell’s upcoming release “ The Wife Who Knew Too Much” we meet a young woman named Tabitha Girard who is working as a waitress in a small town. During a Memorial Day weekend rush, in walked Connor Ford, the boy she had a teen romance with and never forgot. She has followed him through social media and knows he is now married to a extremely wealthy woman named Nina.
Connor convinces Tabby to meet him after work and he tells her that he had never forgotten her and they spend the weekend together rekindling their romance. He tells her that he wants to divorce Nina but with his prenup he would be left with nothing unless she divorces him. She agrees to wait but is filled with doubts as she continues to see photos of them traveling around the world together.
Shortly after the annual July 4th party, Nina is found dead in her pool and it is initially ruled a suicide. As the police receive anonymous notifications though they re-open the case and both Tabby and Connor are under suspicion.
This story is one I feel we have read before but it is still well written and kept the reader engaged. There are a few places where I was just annoyed with how dumb Tabitha was acting ( which is a pet peeve, her actions are not like any woman I know!). I did enjoy the book despite minor flaws and this will be a great addition to your summer reading list.
This is due for release in June. Thank you to
#netgLley and #stmartinspress for the free arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

A well done thriller.. kept my interest and I enjoyed it. Not as well crafted as the leaders in the field. The ending seemed rushed after the plot stretched out for pages. However, the resolution was not easy to accept. It made sense but the characters and their relationship to one another was weak and I felt let down at the conclusion.

Does young love ever end well? Tabitha is spending her summer waitressing and Connor is one of the people she serves. They are happy and in love until Connor's wealthy grandmother forbids him from seeing this girl from the wrong side of town. Sounds like just another summer romance bit the dust, but I wonder what these crazy kids are up to now?
Life hasn't been especially kind to Tabitha. She is a waitress and hasn't gone far from where she started. A failed marriage behind her, and not much to look forward to, she is stunned when Connor walks into the Baldwin Grill and back into her life. It's been over a dozen years since that fateful night when their romance fell apart, but time has done nothing to change how Tabitha feels. Connor is happy to see her too, the only thing that can come between them is his insanely rich wife. Yep, we do have a problem, as Connor swears he still loves Tabitha, but he doesn't want to walk away from all his wife's cash.
And that fellow readers is how we get a seat on this crazy train that is now Connor's life. His very rich wife commits suicide, so now he can offer Tabitha everything Nina's money can buy. But is this too good to be true? What are the odds that Nina would kill herself? Connor didn't lose a thing, except for his jealous wife, and what are the chances that this time Connor freely choose love over money?
This is another serious page flipper and one that I thought I had figured out. What are the chances of that? Not good when you are reading a Michele Campbell book. She takes twists and turns to a whole new level, and this did not end at all as I imagined. I so enjoyed trying to figure out whodunnit and why!

WOW!!! A HUGE thank you to St. Martin's Press, NetGalley and Michele Campbell for this much appreciated ARC! having loved the authors' 4 previous books, I was so excited for the invitation to read this one. Definitely time well spent. Teenage Tabitha falls for rich-boy Connor Ford. They are torn apart and later run into each other again, only Connor is now married to a massively wealthy woman, Nina. Nina dies. How did it happen? Who did it? What follows is a very fast moving tale that races to a mostly satisfying conclusion. I say mostly because I felt Tabitha was sort of a twit, although I really liked her, and I still had one unanswered question, but I do not want to give any spoilers here. Yes, I do tend to overthink my books......All in all, GREAT read!!! Look forward to Number 6!!

"I'm writing this to raise an alarm in the event of my untimely death. This is hard to admit, even to myself. For obvious reasons. He's in love with someone else. And he wants my money."

How can you not be drawn in with an opening like that?!?! From the very first page it pulled me in reading Nina's diary entry and making me want to know more. The lavish lifestyle of the rich made Nina's new husband want it all ... including what he was not suppose to have ... Tabitha, a summer love from years back. Tabitha was a young, hardworking waitress that fell in love with Connor in a short "summer by the lake" whirlwind. But was it enough for Connor? Was money more important to him than what he thought his heart wanted?

Who wanted Nina dead? EVERYONE had a reason. Was Tabitha set up from the beginning? It did slow down in the middle for a bit but backstory things had to be explained and were satisfying. After about 50% in the book it took off ... the twists and turns piled up in to an exciting conclusion. I love Michele Campbell novels and look forward to her next!
