This is one of my records finishing a book in five freaking hours because I wanted to know what’s gonna happen next and I’m over excited!!!!
I got emails or comments asking me out of the curiosity how I can read so many books in such a short time.
Well, I have three answers for that: Using same fast reading technique since I was a nerd college student who preferred beers and cheap tequila over great wine selections (nerdy moron), practice makes it perfect and if I get a fast pacing, heart throbbing, mind blowing thriller in my head, I obsessively read it till I finish it. Life stops! My obligations and responsibilities are needed to be procrastinated! I don’t sleep, don’t eat unless someone feed me, I only use my spare hand to raise my glass and drink more wine and I prefer adult diapers not to lose much time ( yeap, I used them with my big girl pants lately when I went to the theater to watch “Invisible Man” which I highly recommend and Elizabeth Moss is unique talent!)
So I have second thoughts about this book even though I really really really liked its fast paced, surprising, twisty, whirlwind, moving story. It started with as an angsty romance story about young lovers drifted apart because of a mean, heartless, rich and old witch!(Soap opera alerts!) Poor, young, naïve, genuine, sweet Tabitha, living with her grandparent working at the country club, serving to rich people caught attention of charming, popular Connor Ford. They fell in love when they were young and innocent but Connor’s rich grandmother doesn’t approve their relationship. Class and social status differences tear them apart and after nearly 13 years, divorced, losing her job at hospital from a felony she didn’t commit, still poor, devastated Tabitha encounters with the love of her life at the restaurant she’s waitressing.
So far it was like a second chance romance story and you start making “aaawww” sounds and feel your heart warm with love and passion. But don’t do that!!! Because Connor married with a very rich, powerful and also neurotic and controlling, paranoid and jealous woman, yes we’re talking about redhead, 50 years old, stylish, paparazzis’ favorite celebrity Nina (if this would be a movie, I wish they cast Julianne Moore to play her. She would have killed it!) and at the beginning of the book, she tells us she thinks her husband has an affair and he wants her dead. Yes, Connor boy’s entire brownie scores destroyed by this statement, or “dear diary” confession!
I’m not spilling more beans! But as you may imagine, Nina is dead. Sweet Tabitha finds herself in a situation she is completely trapped and she has no way out and she is in love with Connor so badly but is she so naïve not to see his real face? Could he be killer? Or could she do something for crime of passion? Or tons of enemies did something to Nina? And as a last conclusion could Nina do something to herself and tease us from the beginning?
Overall: I have complex feelings about the book. Romance parts were still good and from the beginning even though she acted a little naïve, I believe in that Tabitha has golden heart and I empathize her deeply. She was the only good guy of the book.
But ending action packed parts were a little long and kept repeating itself. The conclusion was a little dissatisfying but it was still reasonable. But when it comes to whodunit part, it was so obvious, even though I shut down my spidey senses, I could easily find it because it seems like all the arrows show the perpetrator from the beginning. There were so many clue crumbles take us a short cut to Hansel& Gretel’s candy house! (In other words: it was so foreseeable to find whodunit!)
So my latest stars 3.5 but I really liked fast building high tension, Tabitha and dead wife’s POVed story telling, surprising twists, unexpected revelations. You feel like you’re running a marathon wearing two size smaller shoes and you want to keep running by ignoring the bleeding in your feet because you like view, you like pumping adrenalin into your veins and you’re drunk with endorphin. That’s what this book made me feel. So as a result I’m rounding up my 3.5 stars to 4 and getting out of here!
Special thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for sending me one of my favorite thriller author’s ARC in exchange my honest review.

Tabitha Girard is an average girl living an average life when she meets Connor Ford. Connor comes from a well to do family. One summer the two cross paths while Tabitha is working at the Country Club Connor's family is a member of. It's an unforgettable summer until Connor's grandmother finds the two together and ends things between them.
Fast forward 12 years, Tabitha is stuck in the same small town working as a waitress. Connor is married to a very wealthy older woman. Tabitha can't believe her eyes when Connor shows up at the dinner she's working at and begs her to catch up. One thing leads to another and they spend the weekend together.
What happens next will lead Tabitha down a dangerous road and has her questioning everyone, including Connor. Who can she trust and who is framing her for murder?

Connor and Tabitha fall in love when they are teenagers and she works at the country club where his family are members. They lose touch for 10+ years before he returns wanting to pick up where they left off but now he is married to much richer older woman who eventually winds up dead of an apparently suicide.
I love the previous novel from this author and enjoyed this one almost as much. I was sort of sure I knew who killed the wife but I was totally wrong and didn’t see that ending coming. I look forward to the next novel from this author.

I would like to thank Michele Campbell on selecting me to read an advanced copy of her new novel. This new book does not disappoint. The story and characters captivated my attention immediately. Each character is well represented and their back story helps fill in all the blanks. I really liked Tabitha but I wasn't so sympathetic to Conner. Poor girl from the wrong side of town falls in love with rich society boy is just the beginning in this tale.
Thanks to NetGalley too.

“The Wife Who Knew Too Much” was a good mystery/thriller. I like that the title could refer to Nina, the rich socialite that Connor Ford married for money, or Tabitha, the waitress, who enjoyed a summer of love years ago when both were teenagers and whom Connor would marry following Nina’s convenient death. Most of the main characters have secrets and the efforts to protect their secrets result in misunderstandings and ultimately lead some characters to take more extreme actions that might otherwise have been the case. The author does a good job of keeping the reader guessing, with information being revealed about certain characters, especially Nina and Connor, that could be true but seems questionable. The statements by Nina in her diary portray a much different situation than what is presented by her staff and coworkers. There are hints early on that certain members of Nina's staff might not be acting in her best interests, but the author does a good job of hiding their motives and the extent of their actions until the storyline requires this information to be revealed. The story contains some surprising twists.
I received a copy of the e-book via NetGalley in exchange for a review.

Don’t you just want to read this based on the title alone?! It was honestly amazing and am so happy I was able to read it

It wasn't bad, but not quite a 5 star book either... really disliked most of the characters, so it makes it hard to feel for anything that happens to them... though the ending did surprise me.

This is another of Michele’s book that immediately grabbed my attention never letting go until the last page was read. This gripping drama had me consumed by what was happening on the page and I tried to keep up with what the author intended. Boy was I ever wrong every time I thought I had a handle on the situation, the author pulled several cleverly strategic twists here and there that had me gasping as I didn’t know where else to turn. . . oh right, the next page. When all was said and done, all I can say is “wow.”

The Wife Who Knew Too Much by Michele Campbell is a suspenseful novel that is an enjoyable reading experience. The plot centers around a rich woman, her employees, her new husband and the husband’s girlfriend. These characters come to life and make you feel as if you know them personally. A murder takes away after the rich woman’s Fourth of July Party ends. Was it murder or suicide? If it was a murder than who killed the victim? I can usually figure out a murder plot but that was not the case with this novel. The plot thickens and becomes quite intense. Who killed the victim and why? I read this novel in two days and would highly recommend it to others. It will not disappoint . Enjoy !

Romance is always complicated, but the author does an excellent job of complicating it even more in this story. Edward, Nina, Tabitha, and Connor are the main character in this twisted path through adultery, relationships, and marriages. Romance novels are not my favorites, but the author wrote a good story.

Does something feel too good to be true? Do you have a gut feeling that things aren't what they seem? Do you go with your gut or let your heart lead the way? A tense psychological thriller about a women who reconnects with an old love that she never quite got over. He whisks her off her feet to his world of money and privilege. She finds out he is still married, but he says it's complicated. Complicated is an understatement. It was thoroughly entertaining following the clues and untangling them to find the truth. You must read to find out how this fantastic thriller ends because it is a wonderful twisty ride!

Tabatha was surprised to see her first love again after so many years. There he was, Connor with the beautiful Hazel eyes. Their relationship had not ended well. He was a blue blood and she came from a middle class home.
He comes riding up in his fancy black Lamborghini, like they'd only seen each other the day before. Tabatha knows he's married. Not to just anyone either. He's married to super-rich Nina Levitt.
He says the marriage isn't going well. He's not happy, he wants to end it.
And then Nina dies.
A roller coaster of a read! Interesting, titillating, exciting! Everything you'd want in a great story.

Campbell did a perfect job on this one. Suspense that found my heart racing accompanied with twist and turns to keep me wondering and guessing. I have read all books by this author and this one was my favorite by far. The story grabbed me instantly and kept me engaged to the final pages. While the plot was twisted and tangled it was easy to follow. I would recommend this book as a suspenseful puzzling who did it.
Thank you netgalley for the early ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful domestic thriller! Dark and twisty turns at every corner. Characters are so well developed, some were so easy to love while others could be deceptive and evil.
The action never stops and I could not put this one down!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I highly recommend!!!

Thank you to Michele Campbell, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this ARC.
This story sucked me in from the very first chapter. I felt so bad for Tabitha, since Connor was basically forced to break up with her because she was beneath his station.
As the story moves on and Connor's new rich wife dies, I start to feel less sympathy for Tabitha, and more annoyance. She is super naive, and just does stupid things. She does redeem herself at the end, but at a cost.
The ending was fantastic, with some twists that you never see coming. Overall, this is an exciting, fast paced, thrilling story that sucks you in the the beginning and has you holding on tight for the rest of the ride.

I was ecstatic to receive the invitation to read this book. I loved this Author's previous books. This one beat them all by a mile. I was led not only down the garden path but behind a very large tree. Nina and Tabitha have one thing in common. They both fall in love with Connor. Tabitha for the second time. Nina winds up dead. Did Connor kill her for her money? Read the book and you will find out. Thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

I was a huge fan of A Stranger on the Beach so I was SO excited to be approved for and ARC of The Wife Who Knew Too Much.
This one gripped me from the first page; I was immediately sucked into Nina's diary entry. I was equally absorbed by Tabitha and Conner's story, fascinated by the way their outrageous and shitty choices had domino effect after domino effect on other people.
Then the twists began things became really interesting!
Thank you to Michelle Campbell, St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nina grew up in poverty and married into wealth. Although she had to put up with her husband's many affairs, the money was worth it to Nina. Edward was much older than Nina - she kept quiet in order to inherit a fortune.
And quiet she was - until her husband, Edward, died.
Nina meets Connor 2 years later and falls deeply in love with him (she is 20+ years older than Connor), yet Nina's trust in Connor is still in the balance..
Meanwhile, Connor meets with his first love, Tabitha, "by chance". They realize their love never died. Of course, Connor's pre-nup is null if he cheats on or leaves Nina. Otherwise, he will get 10 million if Nina wants a divorce. What a mess...
The reader is kept guessing until the last page. A superb suspense thriller!
Highly recommend!
Thanks again to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for a super read!!!..

This author certainly knows how to draw in a reader! I could not for the life of me figure out the ending. This book was constantly on my mine until the last page
