It wasn't bad, but not quite a 5 star book either... really disliked most of the characters, so it makes it hard to feel for anything that happens to them... though the ending did surprise me.

This is another of Michele’s book that immediately grabbed my attention never letting go until the last page was read. This gripping drama had me consumed by what was happening on the page and I tried to keep up with what the author intended. Boy was I ever wrong every time I thought I had a handle on the situation, the author pulled several cleverly strategic twists here and there that had me gasping as I didn’t know where else to turn. . . oh right, the next page. When all was said and done, all I can say is “wow.”

The Wife Who Knew Too Much by Michele Campbell is a suspenseful novel that is an enjoyable reading experience. The plot centers around a rich woman, her employees, her new husband and the husband’s girlfriend. These characters come to life and make you feel as if you know them personally. A murder takes away after the rich woman’s Fourth of July Party ends. Was it murder or suicide? If it was a murder than who killed the victim? I can usually figure out a murder plot but that was not the case with this novel. The plot thickens and becomes quite intense. Who killed the victim and why? I read this novel in two days and would highly recommend it to others. It will not disappoint . Enjoy !

Romance is always complicated, but the author does an excellent job of complicating it even more in this story. Edward, Nina, Tabitha, and Connor are the main character in this twisted path through adultery, relationships, and marriages. Romance novels are not my favorites, but the author wrote a good story.

Does something feel too good to be true? Do you have a gut feeling that things aren't what they seem? Do you go with your gut or let your heart lead the way? A tense psychological thriller about a women who reconnects with an old love that she never quite got over. He whisks her off her feet to his world of money and privilege. She finds out he is still married, but he says it's complicated. Complicated is an understatement. It was thoroughly entertaining following the clues and untangling them to find the truth. You must read to find out how this fantastic thriller ends because it is a wonderful twisty ride!

Tabatha was surprised to see her first love again after so many years. There he was, Connor with the beautiful Hazel eyes. Their relationship had not ended well. He was a blue blood and she came from a middle class home.
He comes riding up in his fancy black Lamborghini, like they'd only seen each other the day before. Tabatha knows he's married. Not to just anyone either. He's married to super-rich Nina Levitt.
He says the marriage isn't going well. He's not happy, he wants to end it.
And then Nina dies.
A roller coaster of a read! Interesting, titillating, exciting! Everything you'd want in a great story.

Campbell did a perfect job on this one. Suspense that found my heart racing accompanied with twist and turns to keep me wondering and guessing. I have read all books by this author and this one was my favorite by far. The story grabbed me instantly and kept me engaged to the final pages. While the plot was twisted and tangled it was easy to follow. I would recommend this book as a suspenseful puzzling who did it.

Thank you netgalley for the early ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful domestic thriller! Dark and twisty turns at every corner. Characters are so well developed, some were so easy to love while others could be deceptive and evil.
The action never stops and I could not put this one down!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I highly recommend!!!

Thank you to Michele Campbell, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this ARC.

This story sucked me in from the very first chapter. I felt so bad for Tabitha, since Connor was basically forced to break up with her because she was beneath his station.

As the story moves on and Connor's new rich wife dies, I start to feel less sympathy for Tabitha, and more annoyance. She is super naive, and just does stupid things. She does redeem herself at the end, but at a cost.

The ending was fantastic, with some twists that you never see coming. Overall, this is an exciting, fast paced, thrilling story that sucks you in the the beginning and has you holding on tight for the rest of the ride.

I was ecstatic to receive the invitation to read this book. I loved this Author's previous books. This one beat them all by a mile. I was led not only down the garden path but behind a very large tree. Nina and Tabitha have one thing in common. They both fall in love with Connor. Tabitha for the second time. Nina winds up dead. Did Connor kill her for her money? Read the book and you will find out. Thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

I was a huge fan of A Stranger on the Beach so I was SO excited to be approved for and ARC of The Wife Who Knew Too Much.

This one gripped me from the first page; I was immediately sucked into Nina's diary entry. I was equally absorbed by Tabitha and Conner's story, fascinated by the way their outrageous and shitty choices had domino effect after domino effect on other people.

Then the twists began things became really interesting!

Thank you to Michelle Campbell, St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nina grew up in poverty and married into wealth. Although she had to put up with her husband's many affairs, the money was worth it to Nina. Edward was much older than Nina - she kept quiet in order to inherit a fortune.

And quiet she was - until her husband, Edward, died.

Nina meets Connor 2 years later and falls deeply in love with him (she is 20+ years older than Connor), yet Nina's trust in Connor is still in the balance..

Meanwhile, Connor meets with his first love, Tabitha, "by chance". They realize their love never died. Of course, Connor's pre-nup is null if he cheats on or leaves Nina. Otherwise, he will get 10 million if Nina wants a divorce. What a mess...

The reader is kept guessing until the last page. A superb suspense thriller!

Highly recommend!

Thanks again to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for a super read!!!..

The Wife Who Knew Too Much by Michele Campbell

Seventeen year old Tabitha meets and falls hard for handsome Connor. Years pass, they lose touch and then reconnect. Their chemistry, though, is still electrically charged.

Connor is now married to a very wealthy, older woman, Nina, but no matter. Prenup? He’d give up everything for Tabitha, or so he wants her to believe. When Nina turns up dead, everyone is suspect, especially Tabitha who never even met Nina. She is now Mrs. Connor Ford though, so has she been set up?

The story begins to get more interesting by the last quarter of the book and comes together very nicely at the end, where the reader sees how the author put a lot of thought into creating that. The problem for me, I believe, was Tabitha’s character. Her naivety and childish impatience were annoying and more suitable to a smitten teenager than a woman in love. She cannot make a decision without contacting Connor first, and in one scene, as she is literally running for her life, she rues the fact that she is wearing her “cute, flimsy flats.”

The story has something for every mystery reader: murder, infidelity, wealth, suspects, love, deception and kidnapping. It’s a solid three star read from this reviewer.

Thanks to NetGalley and Michele Campbell for the ARC. I loved this roller coaster! The characters were spot on, I never suspected the twists and turns. The only thing from being a 5 star read is who died at the end and I totally get it that it had to happen this way but I was still hoping that person somehow got out alive.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much was an easy quick read.
Now 30 Tabitha reconnects with an old high school boyfriend who is married to a wealthy older woman. Sparks fly, but are they real on both sides? I found this book un-put-down-able and had only two concerns. I thought the dialog in places was contrived, and I didn't quite believe that Nina would not have had a will considering she did insist upon a prenuptial agreement. I'd give this a solid 3.5/5.0 stars, and definitely am interested in more books by this author.

Thanks to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ARC of this book.
