Three Exercises to Elevate Your Life
It has always been a goal of mine to communicate with my mind. I have taken animal communication classes and done well with them but do not always have success with people or spirits. The author does a good job explaining the different types of “Clair” communication. She has an easy to read and understand writing style. If you are interested in communicating with spirits, this would be a good book to choose.
This memoir by Diana Cole delves into the seven truths of life that we need to understand and embrace in order to live a happy and fulfilling life. While I understood the principles, I was less than excited about the delivery. I found the book to be disjointed, with no clear timeline of events, and though she wrote about her early career and the lessons she learned through her personal pain, I was unable to immerse myself fully into this book. I wanted to like it, I wanted to learn and grow through communication with my spirit guides, but this book just didn’t resonate with me.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is a book that will help and give one the tools they may need to deepen their journey into their spirituality. There are parts of this books that I enjoyed and I can't go back from what I have learned by reading what was written in the pages, but there were some places that I wish there was a little more explanation. I have kept some of the ideas to continue my search and took knows for my journal. It did get me looking in another direction which is something that I needed.
This book is gold for the spiritual journey. I started reading it when I was first beginning to connect to my spirit guides. This helped explain so much and to increase my trust in the messages I was receiving. It has guidance for connecting to spirit and hearing the messages. It contains so many powerful spiritual truths. If one can align with these truths, their world will change.
This book is about the author’s developing her spiritual side and wanting to connect with spirits around her. She talks about her experiences but this is not a how-to book. Her experiences are interesting, but will not help you to have experiences of your own.
Spirit Translator by Diana Cole was a fascinating look into a topic that is new to me. I think that my patrons will really enjoy the information on connecting to spirit, so I have ordered a couple copies. Thank you!
With thanks to NetGalley for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
In "Spirit Translator" Diana Cole shares the story of her spiritual development and presents the reader with "Seven Truths for Creating Well-Being and Connecting with Spirit". The aforementioned seven truths are based around striving to generate positive thinking and feelings, gratitude for the present, letting go of the past and its negative aspects, and using our "wants" for the future to create happiness in our lives. None of it is really anything those interested in spirituality have not heard before, but it's nice to have those truths organized into consecutive and distinctive steps. The very last part of the book lays out practical - if sometimes quite time-consuming/involved - tips on developing one's spirituality.
I found "Spirit Translator" a quick and approachable read, but ultimately lacking. Diana skims over many important details of the building blocks of her spiritual development - her father's influence is referenced continuously, yet he is never named despite being a well-known mystic. I found some of her "truths" confusing (and sometimes contradictory) - I don't really understand the difference between generating positive thinking versus positive feelings, to me they go hand in hand.
For those already familiar with basic tenets of spirituality, soul journey and soul contracts, this book will be an approachable read, but I don't know how much new information it will provide, other than organizing "truths for spiritual development" into clear steps. It was an enjoyable read, but I had hoped for more.
This is book is a self-help book that focuses on how connecting with spirit can help you in the here and now.
It was an interesting read but was not what I expected.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
As someone who is trying to currently connect with my spirits around me and the spiritual world this book really spoke to me. I would highly recommend. It allowed me to to really connect and speak to various different outlets that will help me only take this experience even further, thank you. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It sounds sci-fi or magical to be a Spirit Translator. Personally, I think being able to speak to and discern the Spirit as part of my beliefs. I was curious as to what Spirit Translator by Diana Cole could teach me.
Hearing from, speaking with, and connecting with spirit can be more common than we think, if we slow down and be still long enough. In all our hustle and bustle of life, it is common that we live our lives not ever connecting with spirit. In Spirit Translator, author Diana Cole teaches readers how to do just that. Take a pause from everything and be willing to connect.
It’s not rocket science to make this connection. Some might find it weird or odd while others may find it absolute nonsense. Whatever your case, it makes sense to determine if it could be useful for you in your life.
It is part of my beliefs that anyone can communicate with the Holy Spirit. However, this book focuses on speaking to a different spirit. But, in similar methods, we should connect with the Spirit. It is entirely up to you as the reader to make that decision. And it’s up to you to make the changes in your lifestyle to live life as it was meant to be.
Start connecting with your spirit before you find yourself in a bind. Get acquainted and build up your communication. Spirit Translator was provided complimentary in exchange for an honest review on NetGalley. I give this book five out of five stars as it encouraged me to build my relationship with my Holy Spirit.
Diana Cole’s Spirit Translator is a well-organized, easy to read book on how to connect with your spirit guide(s). She reveals that anyone can connect to spirit as we are all connected to the same source of light and love at the soul level, and spirit speaks with loving guidance, but the key is this: We need to learn how to listen.
The author encourages us throughout the book that, “Most important, spirit is available to everyone. This book will share messages from spirit, but it will also empower you to meet your own spirit guide and speak to spirit directly.”
The beauty of reading Spirit Translator is that in doing so you will learn how to listen intently to and receive the kind of wisdom that just makes life easier and better. You can wake up inspired every day by opening yourself to both the questions and the answers that will direct your journey, and Diana shows you the way.
You will begin to remember that you are not alone. You will know that you are powerful and important—not only in this wild and wondrous world but beyond it as well. Most of all, you will know that you are loved.
Thanks to Netgalley, publisher and author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I so enjoyed this read and got so much from it! Diana's personal anecdotes are eye-opening and relatable. I love how she detailed the seven truths and focused on positivity and connection to spirit in a healthy way. I will definitely be reading this book again!
I found this book very uplifting and very helpful in learning how to feel and listen to my spirit. It was written in a way that would make anyone realize that they tune in to their spirit.
I really enjoyed this book. It was conversational and relatable and yet full of wisdom. I found myself highlighting a lot. For those who are open to the idea of spirit guidance I think it's a really great book to help one on their journey to finding life's purpose and meaning and live well.
An excellent book, beautifully written. Diana Cole tells her own story of spiritual development and gives the reader seven truths for living a harmonious and spiritual life. Her story is compelling and highly readable. I appreciated her candor in telling how deep in despair she became before evolving into a more spiritual individual and eventually a spiritual teacher.
After she shares her own story, the author lays out the seven truths she received. These are all focused on gratitude, positive thoughts and feelings, and loving yourself for who you are. The last part of the book includes highly practical and do-able tips on developing spiritually.
I enjoyed this book, and just reading it made me feel positive and uplifted.
Ever start a book, feel like you've come in in the middle, and find yourself saying, "Huh?"
This was my experience with Spirit Translator: Seven Truths for Creating Well-Being and Connecting with Spirit. This tome could have benefitted from some editing and structure. While I understand that Diana Cole has based her career on readings that claim to connect her clients to spirit and obtain answers to their questions, the book bounced around with no specific timeline and references to people and events that are not well explained. She writes that her father was a leader in the new thought movement, she doesn't specifically name him. I did a bit of googling and finally found his name. She also says that her business closes because of "gossip." Who was gossiping:? What were they saying? Why did gossip lead to her exercise business being closed?
Cole does offer some exercises in positive thought and connecting with spirit, but they are not so very different than those to be found in any number of books.
It appears that the author has probably led a colorful and eventful life, but this book doesn't do it justice.
Full Disclosure--NetGalley and the publisher provided me with a digital ARC of this book. This is my honest review.
Whay an addition to self help books this title is!! I found her story sounding familiar. It covers what all of us will face someday. Some sooner than others, but no one will escape tragedy and illness if we live long enough. The key is learning how to deal with it when it comes. No, this book teaches how to do more than deal with it, It gives practical steps and methods to turn the hard times into times that will be remembered for the progress made when it seemed it wasnt possible.
Seven Truth are covered which if used and daily remembered, and actually done will help you to thrive . Add to that the simple steps to take to recieve Divine guidance round out a way of life that will gurantee a better path to follow.
