I was a bit apprehensive about reading this book purely because 1) my expectations were so high, and 2) it's the first in a duology and I'm usually pretty strict about not reading series until they are complete. But I am so glad that I did. I absolutely adored this book!! I'm a massive Princess Bride fan and it definitely lives up to the hype, but it also stands on its own.

I was first captured by the beautiful cover art but when I read the girl power filled synopsis of the story line I really wanted to read this book! I was so excited to be approved for an advanced reader copy through NetGalley; I downloaded it right away and put the book I was in the middle of on hold. For a little while, I was a bit disappointed in the book, as I felt it was dragging a little bit but then it picked up and became hard to put down. The end was quite a cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the sequel to see how the story is resolved! All in all, an excellent book.

I loved the plot of this book and the twist of a classic tale. I flew through this book and finished in a day. I absolutely loved the main characters and the journey they went through. If you like books with strong main characters you will love this one.

I cannot begin to say how much I enjoyed this novel. I have read a couple of duds lately and this one made up for it in spades!! The Princess Will Save You did just that. I hope that if you haven't read Sarah Henning before that you start with this book. I think this is her best work by far!
