Thank you net galley for the opportunity to review this book! I was hoping to love this book but I just found myself bored and uninterested! It also put me into a bit of a reading slump. I would not recommend this book to friends because the characters and story line was not interesting at all.
The book moved slowly and the characters were not as developed as I would have liked. Overall, the book wasn’t as thrilling as I would have liked and it felt like there were a lot of filler scenes. Perhaps maybe a little more character and plot development would have helped the way the book may be received by the reader.
This started off slow to start with but then picked up a bit. There wasn’t enough suspense for me in my opinion. But I still enjoyed the story itself, there was a few surprises throughout. The first book I have read by this author, but I’ll be keeping my eye out for more in the future.
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review.
Review for 'Dangerous Ledges' by Fallon Raynes
Read and reviewed via NetGalley for Fallon Raynes LLC
This is the first book that I have read by this author. I would definitely be interested in reading more of her books.
This book sucked me straight in and kept me on a roller coaster ride all the way until the unexpected ending. I just couldn't put it down!! It would actually be very interesting to see this turned into a film.
It is a creepy psychological thriller filled with tension, friendships, suspense, love and lies.
I think that Fallon seemed to have done some research into police procedures and it shows through in her writing which is always nice to see. I've read many books where I'm wondering what the author was thinking with some of the police procedures they described.
The book has been written from the majority of the characters perspectives so you can see most of what is going on and how they are all feeling. The only thing I would have suggested is maybe putting the name of the character by the chapters so the reader can tell who is 'speaking '. However, I found it to be very well written and didn't have any problems reading it as it is.
The characters are all very realistic and well developed and the descriptions made me feel like I was right there next to them the whole time.
There are parts of the book where it goes from past to present and back again which I found helpful as it gave the history of Liz and Ledge's relationship.
Trigger subjects of domestic abuse and violence.
I would recommend this book to fans of psychological thrillers, suspense, mystery, crime and anyone really looking for a good book!!
I look forward to seeing more books from this very talented author.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to preview Dangerous ledges by Fallon Raynes. First read for this author for me..
When a woman who just got divorced, Liza, goes on a cruise with her friend she wants to have a good time, and forget the past. Liza has not been good to herself so she goes overboard and gets a nice room on the ship, and starts to venture out to start over.
Soon Liza discovers that she is being watched and her ex is determined that losing her was something he could not live with. He will get her back - no matter what - and anyway he can - and Liza's dream cruise is now a nightmare.
Fast read.- 3 stars.
This book was hard to get into. At the beginning the writing seemed really juvenile, making the characters appear immature. Thankfully the writing gets better further along. The story held my interest, I didn't want to set it down but there's nothing that makes it stand out. I love the title!
Thanks Netgalley and to the publisher for the advance ecopy.
This was a great read. A Fast paced thriller. Liza and her husband Ledge are divorced due to infidelity. They have two children in college. And Liza is planning on going on a cruise with friends but it doesn't go as planned when Liza wakes up in a room being unwilling held by her ex husband.
This was just ok. The book was written more like a play by play of every move each. Had acted made. I was hoping for a bit more anticipation, it just fell flat for me.
Liza and Ledge have gone through a divorce. Liza had to file, because of the demons in Ledge. He had been taking a drug that made him short tempered and mean, dangerous even
Their twin children don't know the extent of the terror she endured. Now they are studying for college finals, she prefers to leave it in the past. They love their father and she doesn't want to mar the image they have of him.
Now she is going on a cruise with her friend. She is somewhat excited. It's a chance for her to get away.
When her friend can't find her on the boat. She is worried her friend has changed her mind. That is until she touches base with others as to her whereabouts. No one knows, she has simply disappeared.
Great story. Love the characters!
I wish that I would have liked this one more. From glancing at the reviews on Goodreads, a few seemed to have enjoyed this one a lot. I’m not sure if I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind, (with the spread of the virus going on) or maybe I’m just in need of something new, (something outside of the thriller genre🤭)
Pros:
-The plot interested me a lot. I liked the idea behind this book, and I’m normally drawn to books of this type.
-The pacing of this story was good. None of it felt too rushed.
Cons:
-I feel like in some parts of the book it was written more like a YA book. The character used phrases such as: “hell to the no,” and “ He did quit smoking. I’ll give him that. But he didn’t quit boinking.” This only really happened for the first 20% and then it flipped and thankfully, the writing seemed a lot more mature.
-I didn’t connect to any of the characters, which was such a bummer because if I had been able to, I think that I would have enjoyed this one more.
-It skipped between multiple characters, (5? 6?)when I wished that it would focus on the two main ones more as I was the most interested in reading their side of the story. (I also feel that this would have helped me connect to the main character more)
Small note: I think that it could have been helpful labeling the title of the chapters by which character’s side of the story we were following. It wasn’t necessarily confusing, as I understood within the first couple of sentences but still could be helpful.
I recommend this book to those looking for a quick domestic type thriller. It has 4 stars on Goodreads right now, and a few of my bookstagram friends also seemed to have liked this one a lot!
First off I want to thank @netgalley & Fallon Raynes for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow ! I was hooked from page one and couldn't stop until this was finished. Kept me engrossed and wanting more with every page flip.

You're in for a thrilling, non-stop, creepy, intense ride. The characters are quickly developed but it didn't take away from the story. Ledge what a creepy, deranged, flawed and horrible individual and I loved it. This book checked all the boxes for me, it was fast paced, intriguing, non stop thrills and twists. It starts and ends with a bang. That's all I can ask for a thriller. For a shorter book the plot is well developed, there is no useless information or blurb, everything is necessary.

I wasn't expecting that ending, I thought it would go in another way which I loved this one even more. If you're a fan of fast paced thrillers add this one to your list.
I was given this ARC for my honest opinion.
I tried really hard to like this book but I did not like it. I'm not sure what it was the style or the characters.
A darker theme about a cheating man trying to save his marriage. Liza McAllister has had it. Her two children are in college and her husband Ledge continues to promise, but fails at being faithful. When she catches him this last time she files for divorce and plans on a taking cruise with her friend. Instead, she’s drugged and wakes up in a closed room with her crazy ex keeping her hostage. He tells her that she belongs to him. Her only hope is that her friend will have someone looking for her. A final argument between them leads to a surprise ending. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
