This is the first book that I have read from this author and it won’t be the last. I am not sure why it has taken me so long to read her work. Jenna has second thoughts about marrying her fiancé and when she decided to make a run for it, she jumps into a car and asks the driver to take her away quickly. She didn’t realize that she jumped into Zach’s car. They were so good together. Loved the adventures they went on. Great characters and good storyline.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The Anti-Honeymoon is a sassy contemporary romance about a soon to be bride calling off her wedding when her fiance cares more about the publicity than the actual marriage. Jenna decides to still go on her honeymoon that she was looking forward to and this is going to be one anti-honeymoon to remember.

Jenna is a sweet, fun, and likable woman who has been dreaming about her wedding day. But she never imagined marrying a person who cared more about making everyone else happy before her. She calls off their wedding and goes on the honeymoon she planned. But she goes with her ex's business partner.

Zach is a true businessman who is focused and determined. When he meets Jenna, he is intrigued. This is the first woman in a long time that captivates him. As they spend time together, they have fun just being themselves.

I really enjoyed this story because it's so romantic. The two find love and the best part is is that they can be who they really are with each other.

I give The Anti-Honeymoon 4 stars. It is a delectable romance that you can easily read in one sitting. Great characters and a unique story.

Quick read with lots of good humor! This book started off really well. I loved the plot of the whole book, it's like the Unhoneymooners. It was so much fun to read all their anti-honeymoon activities. I just loved Jenna and Zach from the start.

Jenna was already having doubts about her fiancé and his latest antics just pushed the boat to far with her making a run for it. Jenna mistakes Zach for a driver and together they make a dash for it. No spoilers: this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written tale which is light-hearted, fun, humorous, steamy, and with a tad drama and secrets which all lead to an all-round entertaining read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all.

Steamy Rom-Com with Quirky Heroine and Hunky Hero
This is a sexy and fun story with insta-love and HEA. He’s rags to riches and she riches to rags.

After Jenna realizes Elliot is not the man for her, she runs away from her wedding and into an awaiting car driven by Zach, whom she mistakes as a chauffeur hired for the wedding. Zach has his own reasons to dislike Elliot but was invited to the wedding and came out of curiosity, then changing his mind just as Jenna jumps into the backseat. Zach and Jenna end up going on her honeymoon together and working through a list of anti-honeymoon activities. There is instant steamy combustion between them, and Zach begins to dream of forever, but when all secrets are revealed, can they still make it work?

There are a couple of twists and one predictable betrayal. A few small places where a word was missing, but nothing you can’t easily guess and it didn’t hold me back.

I loved her adopted pseudo family at the assisted living center. Loved his assistant Marcie, as well as his family once introduced. Fun epilogue.

Fun read!

The Anti-Honeymoon was a super fun read. I will say, though, that I despised Jenna's ex-fiance from the moment I met him, as in I really wanted to strangle him with some of the things he said and did. Michaels did an ideal job turning the reader against him and it's no wonder Jenna decided to leave him. The first couple of chapters set a the foundation for a story that was really hard to put down once I got into it and I have to say that I had a couple of laugh out loud moments.

Zach and the rest of the gang made for some great characters. This was my first read by Bethany Michaels and I hope her other stories are just as fun as this one. The light humor was exactly what I needed and Jenna and Zach were ideal together. This is the kind of story I love to read!!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m left wondering why Bethany Michaels has not crossed my path before now. I loved The Anti-Honeymoon, it was everything I expect in a five star read, great characters that you can relate to and a great plot with lots of feels. Jenna has finally come to the end of her tether and just before she walks down the aisle she realises what a big mistake marrying her fiancé Elliott would be, so she becomes the runaway bride with the help of Zach who happens to be pulling up to the wedding just as she plans her escape ....... Jenna is determined to have her honeymoon and Zach becomes the man to make it all possible, what follows is a fun, entertaining read with this couple working through her honeymoon list or should I say the Anti-Honeymoon list. I loved the connection Zack and Jenna has, I smiled and I laughed along side of them and what about the scorching hot chemistry, it was off the charts and I really didn’t want their story to come to an end. I highly recommend this book and I will certainly be searching out other works from this author.

Oh how much did I really love this book? So much! It was such fun to read and loved the idea of the anti-honeymoon. I just adored Jenna and Zach from the start. Smart characters that clicked early on and the way they spent time together, getting to know each other, checking items off of a list. A light hearted, read with bits of spice, smiles, giggles and moments to warm the soul. This is definitely a story that needs to be added to your TBR.

This is the first time in coming across this author with the little tidbit picks my curiosity with this also having promising bits of humor also. Jenna got my attention right away with me wondering what next which was soon answered. Then enters Zach whom is a formula for a second chance in my eyes with things have gotten a bit interesting. The humorous adventures that they think are not couple items could be termed different in someone else's opinion. They also were clever ways to have them come to know each other better unhindered. As this grows so does us in with the two enjoying every bit.

I had such fun with The Anti-Honeymoon, between chuckle snorts and flipping pages to see what happens next, this story flew by and I completely enjoyed myself in this world.

Jenna already had doubts about this marriage but her now ex-fiancé’s latest action on their wedding day was the final straw in a pile of indifference from him that reached the ceiling. He was all about himself, her as a trophy wife, and really a huge publicity stunt of a wedding. You don’t put the people most important to your bride in an unseeable corner and that was the end for Jenna as she dashed out of the church and into the first car she saw which wasn’t the chauffeur-driven ride she first assumed – at all. Not one to waste a good getaway, Jenna decided to take that honeymoon trip herself minus the groom – and plus the driver of that car who is turning out to be a far better man than the one she just dumped at the altar. But Zach has secrets of his own that just might put a stop to a budding new romance.

I liked The Anti-Honeymoon, the characters were realistic and the story flowed smoothly. Yet, for me, a cover gives me a first glimpse of the couple I’m about to read about and this cover didn’t do that for me. A small thing perhaps, but noticeable. I did have a good time in this world, Jenna and Zach fit perfectly even with a small hiccup in their relationship. If you love a good, solid romance then this is one you should be adding to your reading list.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This is the first book I have read from this author and I absolutely plan on reading others. The Anti-Honeymoon was humorous, steamy and very entertaining. The book is about Jenna, a soon-to-be bride, who bolts from her wedding. She jumps in a car with a man she mistakenly believes is a valet and orders him to drive. Later she learns that the man is not a person hired to park cars, but a wedding guest named Zach.
Zach accompanies Jenna to Florida when she decides to use the reservations she made for her honeymoon as a cooling off period while she decides her next step. Thus the anti-honeymoon is born. Instead of romantic activities, Jenna and Zach replace them with some hilarious choices, like Bingo for adults.
I would classify this book as women's fiction because it is so much more than a rom-com. It is the story of two people who discover that life with the right person is a great adventure!

5 Star review of The Anti Honeymoon by Bethany Michaels

Bethany Michaels is a new author to me and I found The Anti Honeymoon to be an entertaining read.

After finally having enough, Jenna ditches her jerk of a fiance Elliott, at the altar and with the help of her ex’s former business partner, Zach makes her escape.

Elliott was a snake and I wanted to smack him, I couldn’t stand him. Whilst Zach was totally swoon worthy, I loved how supportive he was of Jenna.

They decide to partake of her honeymoon calling it the anti honeymoon doing the opposite of everything she had planned. What will happen when it is over, will the part ways?

I loved the anti-couples list that Jenna ticks off. The friendship and banter between Jenna and Zach was entertaining and the air sizzled as their attraction grew. They are opposites but their connection is deep and I liked the laughter and happiness they found in each other.

The secondary characters of Tommy, Chuck and Aggie were delightful, I loved them. Zach’s family was awesome and this was a heart warming story which made me happy.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

**I received a copy of The Anti-Honeymoon from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. The opinions below are mine alone and not solicited in any way**

The Anti-Honeymoon by Bethany Michaels was a pleasant book with a bride who realizes that her wedding to fiance who love publicity because it will look good. Thankfully she realizes her heart knows that it would be a mistake to go through with it. How does she make her getaway? Her now ex's old business partner, Zach.

What I loved the most was Jenna's "family" who lived at the assisted living place she'd worked at Aggie, Tommy, Chuck who had their quirks but I loved them all. How Zach found anti-honeymoon activities to do was precious as well. With the reveal of what made Zach and Elliot part from their business did make Jenna break away from him but in the end with Zach's family coming for an "intervention" I loved her well stocked purse! Plus when Marcy who put her two cents in this book is well worthy for a 4 star rating.

Jenna’s wedding has been planned down to the last detail by her fiancé and the only thing she wanted was to have the family of her heart in the front row of the ceremony. When her fiancé even changes those plans she realizes that marriage to this man is not what she wants so she becomes the runaway bride when she believes Zach is an uber driver.

Zach was invited to the wedding by her fiancé but since their relationship ended on a sour note, he doesn’t know why he is even here. When Jenna decides to go on the honeymoon she planned without her groom he arranges to ensure she gets there safely but once they get there he is reluctant to leave especially when they decide to take her list and make it their own.

These two were so much fun together. Jenna shows Zach that there is more to life than work while Zach showed Jenna a sensitive and caring side that he kept hidden from most of the people in his life. There was a little drama along the way but there is no doubting that they are a perfect match.

This book was very predictable but so worth the read. The book was a fun and quick read. Jenna is more of a laid back take life as it comes and Zach is a type A personality everything has to be planned out, in this book everything is tossed in the air and nothing goes as planned for either. I really like Marcy she had a small part in the book was she was mighty. I would love to read her story next and see what trouble she gets into. This book has curse words and sex so may not be suitable for all. Over all this book was quick read and well worth it.

Zach is stunned when the bride for the wedding he will be attending lands in his back seat and says gun it. He never dreamed he would become the escape vehicle for a runaway bride. Jenna never expected to runaway from her wedding but she finally realized that Elliot didn’t really see her, he saw a trophy. As she takes help from a stranger, she ends up going on the honeymoon that she planned, allowing herself time to figure out what to do next. She isn’t looking forward to being alone but Zach surprises her and decides to stay. Zach isn’t good with people but something about Jenna has him wanting to help her. These two have fun turning her honeymoon activities into ‘anti-honeymoon’ activities. The challenge will be fighting their growing attraction. There are also some secrets Zach has kept from Jenna about his connection to Elliot which adds some drama to this romantic comedy which adds depth to their journey. I had fun with Jenna and Zach on this anti-honeymoon! I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I was sucked in by the cover at fist for this one. I thought it looked fun and whimsical!

Unfortunately, I feel like the cover didn't really match the story. The characters' descriptions didn't completely seem to line up with the models on this one. Which is totally fine...Just an observation.

Usually, I struggle with books in the beginning. It takes me a bit to connect with the characters. But, I actually think I liked the beginning of this one better than the rest. The start was was so intriguing and I was so excited to see what happened next...It was such a great start to hook in the reader.

This whole story was funny, sweet, and just the book I needed to relax during this past crazy weekend. I enjoyed the humor interspersed throughout and the author's ability to make me laugh. This is one of those reads where you don't take anything too seriously. I really enjoyed Zach's character and felt he was a VAST improvement on Elliott!

I do wish there had been more at the end. I really appreciate a good, solid happy-ending with a little extra to seal the deal.

All-in-all, the author has a great writing voice, and this story was very entertaining!

Runaway Bride.
Jenna, realising that her bridegroom cares little for her wishes and feelings absconds from her wedding with, what she thinks, is the limo chauffeur. Luckily this total stranger is a good guy and not only helps her to get away but takes her to her honeymoon destination to hide out. Zach falls for Jenna the moment he sees her face in the rear view mirror of his car and he is reluctant to leave her amidst a horde of happy, loved-up couples. He therefore stays the night to help her settle in, then one day leads to another and then another. Jenna and Zach have fun together but everything falls apart when Jenna’s ex appears on the scene. An enjoyable book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
