This book has all the feels and made me laugh, cry and want to scream at times too. Piper Dalton is a total tom-boy, sassy and knows who she is. Harley Dutch has been in love with her forever. Their story is funny too and I love Piper as she reminds me so much of myself. Harley is the perfect match for her as he doesn't want to change her at all. Melissa knows how to make us fall in love with her characters and I definitely did with these ones. One of my absolute favorite books this year.
4.5⭐
She Loves Me is my favourite Melissa Foster book to date. As not only was the story extremely absorbing but, it was jammed full of heat, sweetness, real life issues and family. Not to mention the two main characters were wonderful as was Harley's pursuit of Piper; who is by far my favourite Dalton. As not only is she tough, forthright, and funny, but she's loyal, caring and kind, and Harley took everything she was and embraced it which was lovely and gratifying to read. And it all made for a brilliant story which I would happily recommend to others.
She Loves Me is hands down the best book of the entire Harmony Pointe series. This book had me laughing and swooning from the very start. Harley and Piper are PERFECTION!
Piper Dalton is strong, sassy, stubborn and I couldn’t love her any more that I already do! Harley is sweet, strong, determined and how can you not love that man?! Plus, Jiggsy! The sweetest dog in the world. Harley is injured and needs someone to help him out, so who better than his friend Piper? Of course, when you’re constantly around someone feelings develop or come to the surface.
I was living for the banter between Harley and Piper. It was perfect and just felt so natural for them. Their friendship was fantastic and they had such a good flow with each other. Of course, there is no denying their INSANELY HOT chemistry. It was jumping off the pages.
Piper’s and Harley’s relationship with his nieces was sweet. I loved how much the cared for them, especially Piper. She wanted to help, of course, she needed some advice from her sisters. I love the sense of family and how much they want to help Piper.
She Loves Me is a MUST READ!
I really enjoyed this book.
Piper Dalton is one of the strongest women I have ever read about. Not only does she have a job working in construction, she will fight and defend her friends and family until the end. She also has a very colourful language that would make a sailor blush! Her second language is innuendos, yip you heard that right. From previous books we have seen Piper as such a strong character, however in this book we see her walls come down and we discover why she doesn't believe in love and marriage. Harley has the patience and understanding to help Piper through their relationship.
Piper and Harley have been friends for years. He has always loved her, everyone could see that except for Piper. Harley is a big "grizzly like" man who runs a bar however he has a cuddly, soft side reserved for Piper.
This book is the third book in the Harmony Pointe series, when I first read about Ben I thought yes amazing, book boyfriend for life, then I read about Mason and I thought move over Ben we have a new favourite in town. No one can top this hunk of a man. Enter Harley!!! This man is everything, he is sweet and has a dog. I mean seriously! Drool! As much as I loved the previous books, I loved how different this book is. I have followed Pipers and Harleys journey throughout the series so this book didn't have that awkward will they get together or won't they. This book is based on their journey as a couple.
As they have been friends for years, their relationship is natural and fun. Be warned this book has a few "steamy" moments and a lot of innuendos.
As this book is part of a series, it would be an advantage to read their background in the previous books, however it is not necessary. Melissa fills us in with some past details. Also there are a few characters within this book that are linked with other charcters within Melissa Fosters other series. It creates a nice environment and neighbourhood for the characters.
I need to add Harley on the cover and Harley in my head were not the same person haha!
Overall I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it.
Piper Dalton is not like her sisters. She is a strong woman working in a typically male role. She is extremely independent and hides her softer side from most everyone. Harley who's been in love with Piper for years is one of her best friends. Piper is drafted to help Harley with his nieces when he gets injured. The fireworks start from there. the book is well written as all the Melissa Foster books are. Every story makes you feel like a friend of the family. This book made me laugh out loud several times as well as make me cry at the emotions. The book makes you feel everything the characters are feeling. I read this book quickly as I felt connected to the characters. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
After Call Her Mine, I was looking forward to seeing what would happen with Piper. She was the badass aunt in Call Her Mine and I was curious to see what her story was. And Melissa didn't disappoint!
Piper doesn't do girly, she is tough as nails. When her best friend Harley sprains his ankle, she comes to the rescue. Being stoned on the pain meds, Harley blurts out to Piper that he has feelings for her. But Piper doesn't do feelings. Not since Harley's baby brother broke her heart years ago and left without a trace.
Harley has been trying to become more than friends with Piper for over three years. But now she is staying with him to nurse him back to health, he is determined to show her they should be more than friends.
When Piper tentavively lets Harley into her heart, suddenly Harley's younger brother appears on scene. What will happen now? A funny, heartwarming story about family, friends to lovers and second chances. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
She Loves Me is the third book in the Harmony Pointe series by Melissa Foster and currently scheduled for release on April 21 2020. You do not need to read the series in order to enjoy the read. However, there are connected characters and all of the books are pretty great, so if you enjoy one you might want to read them all anyway.
Something is off in Piper Dalton’s life, and she has a feeling it might just be her. All her siblings are blissfully settled with their forever loves. But while her sisters were dreaming of white weddings, Piper was left heartbroken and commitment phobic by her first love, her best friend’s younger brother. As a woman dominating the male-driven construction industry, Piper has no interest in turning in her hammer for an apron—even if hot and hilarious Harley thinks otherwise. Burly bar owner Harley Dutch has a bum ankle and two preteen nieces to take care of, and having his best friend, tough-as-nails and sexy-as-sin Piper Dalton, come to his rescue is just the remedy he needs. Piper is her snarky self, and she kind of sucks at caregiving, but she’s owned his heart for years, she’s got a way with the girls, and Harley would sure like to have his way with her. As things heat up between Piper and Harley, she warns him not to fall in love with her because she’ll only break his heart. Harley is the right man for that challenge—until he makes the biggest mistake of his life, and they begin to wonder if true love really can conquer all.
She Loves Me is a book I have been eager for, since I have loved the previous Harmony Point books and the related series. I have wanted Harley and Piper's story since I first met them, but readers that have never read a book from Foster will still be able to enjoy the read and get just as lost in their story. I love Piper, she is tough as nails but still so very vulnerable- just so used to hiding it. Harley is a big guy, always looking out for the people in his life, and any underdog. They have been dancing around each other for years, and events finally make it the perfect time for Harley to make his move. I love how they already know each other so well, but readers get a better look at them both. The respect and effort they each show in the process of figure each other, and themselves, out is an engaging story with some heart rending moments but plenty of sweet and heat as well. I simply loved Piper's character so much, her insecurities and less than stellar coping mechanisms spoke to me, as did how sweet and caring she was toward others even when she could not see it herself. There were moments when I thought Harley was a little too perfect, but the teasers for where Foster might focus her attentions next fixed some of that and made me ready to read on as soon as the next book is released.
She Loves Me is a solid contemporary romance with a good balance of heart and heat. Fans of the author will definitely want to read it.
3.5 stars - Piper is not a typical girl, and she feels a little out of place in her family since all her siblings have fallen in love. After a bad relationship in high school, as an adult she's had a string of dates where the guys tried to change her. She's not interested in changing, so she avoids relationships. Her best friend, Harley, has been in love with her and patiently waiting for her to give him a chance. It was really nice to watch Piper come around, and how devoted Harley was to her and how he truly loved her just the way she was. His dog was adorable, and there were a lot of fun scenes with family members and characters from past books.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is such a wonderful and heartwarming friends to lovers story that packs in so much good stuff. Melissa Foster is a go-to read for me because she always brings her best to her writing and this is no exception!! Family, Heart, Humor, Heat, Passion & Soul are the main ingredients that make up Piper and Harley’s amazing journey into forever love from the best friend zone. Turns out Harley didn’t have far to go but Piper sure did. I love them and their story! Harley sure brings the swoon making it impossible for Piper not to fall but the way he is with his nieces is what won me over from the beginning. I love this book and can’t wait for more in this and all the other new and ongoing series this author has!
I was lucky to get an early copy of this one from Netgalley.
Piper and Harley have got me crazy in love with romance. Foster continues to take readers, like myself, out of their heads and put them in touch with their heart. This time around the heroine has a story to tell that spotlights the heartache of following your heart, despite what others think. Piper is a uniquely beautiful soul. A hard outer shell with a fragile center, she has a penchant to underestimate her greatest asset. Her sensitive heart. The bad boy of her dreams could be just what she needs to open her eyes. From sugary sweet to heartbreakingly real, She Loves Me is an exercise in honest, heartwarming, captivating storytelling.
Sassy, awesome chick. Check. Swoony, alpha male best friend. Check. Piper and Harley are best friends with a lot of sass between them. Harley takes all of Pipers sass in stride because, well, he wants more and has been super patient over the years to wear her down. Unknowingly, with some help from their matchmaking mothers. But when Harley hurts his ankle while watching his nieces while his sister is recovering, the best laid matchmaking plans get better when Piper is asked to get him from the hospital. These two are amazing characters and so made for one another. Their underlying friendship makes their love that much sweeter. Definitely another enjoyable, sweet and sexy read from Melissa Foster and a must read series!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
I was very keen to read this one, as I love this series, and I definitely had been intrigued by Piper and Harley in the previous books.
I really liked getting to know both of these characters, and Harley was just such a sweetie. Jiggsy was a fabulous bonus as well, and just as much a part of the story. Piper has quite a few hang ups and views on things that she needs to work through, and Harley sure understands and is patient with her about it all.
These two discovering another level to their friendship/relationship was a wonderful growing experience and lots of fun to read. Also some wonderful secondary characters in terms of favourites from the previous books and some more integral secondary characters in this storyline like Jolie and Sophie.
A great book that made me feel all the things, and can't wait for the next one!
Melissa Foster has again delivered a sexy and heartwarming romance in She Loves Me, a low angst, friends to lovers romance. In fact, this might be new favorite from her.
I absolutely adored Harley and Piper. Their strong and longstanding friendship provided a great foundation for a deep and meaningful relationship and it was so fun watching it flourish. And their banter was so hilarious.
Piper could be a bit frustrating at times. Harley never gave an indication that he did not like her for who she was but she was insistent that he would eventually want to change her. I can appreciate her stubbornness though because I am equally as stubborn. As for Harley, well he is the ultimate book boyfriend. He was so sure about what he wanted, wasn’t afraid to show his feelings for Piper and truly loved her for sho she was. And the way he was with his nieces? Totally swoon worthy.
So very much enjoyed getting to spend more time with this group of characters and I hope this isn’t the last we will see of the Sugar Lake/Harmony Pointe group.
If you're looking for a sweet and sexy friends to lovers romance, this is the book for you.
What an amazing book this is. Piper and Harley's story is so lovely, romantic, funny and nerve wracking. This two characters have so much love and things to deal with. This book is like a rollercoaster of emotions. It's full of surprises and full of love. I enjoy every minute of this book. I receive an advanced reader copy in exchange of my honest review.
I really loved this book. It made me laugh and cry. Piper and Harley had been friends forever it Harley wanted more. It was fun to see Piper come to realize she loved him back, but she.certainly fought it for all she was worth. Marshall’s story was heartbreaking but it was a journey he had to go on. A very rewarding story with a great ending
She loves me is a romantic story about a gal who built a wall around her heart and has to let the town hero brake it down and prove his trust to get her love. You'll enjoy how this story revolves around family and true love for all.
4 1/2 Stars for this laugh-out-loud romance!
Harley has loved Piper for 3 long years ... but he’s just one of the guys to her. When Harley hurts his ankle, Piper offers to help him while he’s recovering because he’s looking after his nieces for a few weeks while his sister recovers from surgery. Harley can’t believe his luck and he’s not gonna waste one second of his time with Piper to try and change her mind about having a relationship ... with him.
In my opinion this is the best book in the series! Piper just killed me ... she is just this little rough and tough spitfire with a heart of gold ... but don’t tell anyone that or she might have to hurt you. And Harley is just this big burly hunk who just wants to be everyone’s hero ... especially Pipers! I was laughing so hard at the end of the book that there were tears running down my cheeks and I had to put the book down till I could see better. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I received an early copy courtesy of Montlake Romance through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
I absolutely LOVED this book!! Melissa will have you laughing out loud, angry, in tears, heart racing and so full of love but not wanting it to end by the time you get thru it. Perfect book to take you away from anything and everything you need to get away from💞💞💞💞💞
Let me just say, every girl needs a Harley in their life! He was so dang earnest, patient and an all around good guy. I loved every little thing about him, but nothing more than the way he treated and accepted Piper for who she was.
As a construction worker, Piper doesn’t do frilly. She especially doesn’t do marriage and babies. Although there is a part of her that desires it, she recognizes that something inside of herself is broken and she’ll never be able to be the type of woman to find it. What she didn’t expect was to learn that her best friend Harley has been waiting for years for her to open her eyes and see him as more than a friend.
Harley recognized that fortress Piper had built around herself and he was determined to take baby steps until he could pull them all down. With his quick wit and charming humor, it didn’t take him any time to find a place in my heart. Add in the big burly bear of a man that loves to cuddle, and yeah, I was a goner.
This is a longer read but has a very nice pace to it. The drama is internal for Piper and familial for Harley. Harley definitely has to do the greatest giving but when it came time for Piper to make a choice, despite the struggle, she was able to face things like an adult, with a lot of bakery items thrown in.
I loved this story and everything about Harley and Piper as a couple. This was fun and witty, a touch angsty, and a lot romantic.
Delicious, slow-burn romance!
Harley has been quietly carrying his torch for Piper for a few years now, but ever since his younger brother broke her heart (many years ago in high school) she's been determined never to fall in love or even consider a relationship beyond a one-night-stand. When the stars finally align and Piper is the only one who can help Harley take care of his nieces while he's recovering from an ankle injury, Harley makes the most of his time with her, showing her just how perfect they can be together.
This was a delightful trip back to Harmony Pointe, and I really enjoyed Harley's devotion to Piper. I loved how careful he was with her, so in tune with what she's comfortable with and when to proceed or slow down. Piper was a tough nut to crack with castle-like walls around her heart, but Harley had her number and I doubt any woman could've resisted him forever.
The story moved a little slower than necessary, picking up only towards the end with the return of the prodigal son. Even so, it was a swoony, heartwarming romance with a terrific, somewhat surprising HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
