This book is great! Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
I am typically a big Gina Lamanna fan but this book left me wanting more. I'm not really sure what about it I didn't like other than the content of the plot (cheating, marital affairs, etc.) just isn't my cup of tea. It isn't your typical mystery. More along the lines of a tame version of "Gone Girl".
This was wild and WHY am I not seeing more of this in my feed. You guys, go read it now so we can chat! Thank you so much @sourcebooks for sending me a finished copy. Immediately adding her backlist to my cart while this one finds a home on my favorites shelf!
Three Single Wives was so much fun. I couldn’t get enough of the secrets and lies!! This one will be perfect for fans of Little Fires Everywhere. I mean what could go wrong when you have a group of friends, a book club, wine (lots of wine), drama, and a dead husband? Wow. What an addictive read!
What worked really well for me was the formatting and the inclusion of the transcripts! It allowed for more questions, a lot of finger pointing and guessing. As you read between the transcripts and the past you start collecting these little crumbs and begin piecing the story together until it all FINALLY clicks into place. It was a total guessing game for me. I also can’t say that I’m really all that surprised at how it turned out, but the fact that I couldn’t figure it out was a total win. What an entertaining and enjoyable whodunit mystery that I’ll be officially pushing onto everyones TBR
Friends, Book Club and Alcohol, throw in a sleaze bag of a husband, whatever could go wrong! What would you do for a friend? Fun read with a familiar plot but lots of secrets and twists. Characters have many layers, and are developed well throughout the book. The situations are real enough to empathize. Writing was fast paced enough to keep the pages turning. Even though I guessed the killer, it was fun to see it all come together. Another enjoyable read by this author!
Thanks to Ms. LaManna, Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.

I have not been in a big thriller mood lately, but I decided to pick up Three Single Wives and it was exactly what I needed. This one was such a fun and twisty read full of so many lies and secrets that it basically gave me whiplash!
We follow three women who lead very different lives and their friendship becomes the center of a murder investigation. I would classify this one as more of a women’s fiction/domestic suspense novel more than a thriller, but it still kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
The format of the story was my favorite part of the whole book. It alternated between chapters featuring each woman’s POV and transcripts of the murder trial months later. It was a very unique format and the author used it to reveal small clues along the way. I suspected pretty much every character of the murder at one point and I was still shocked at the end! The women were very interesting characters and I loved seeing how they continually developed as we were given more information about them.
I highly recommend this one! It was such a quick and entertaining domestic suspense and I loved it!
4.5/5 stars!
This story took a bit of time for me to get into, but once it grabbed me it would not let go. I felt for these four women, who each had dreams, but either didn't know how to realize their dreams, weren't able to reach them or didn't recognize that they already had their dreams. This book brought forth lots of emotions for me: anger, frustration, hope, love, etc. Excellent story, with wonderful realistic characters.
An author hungry to relive her glory as a bestselling writer. The agent I need of a bestselling author,oh yes she has a husband it’s a roving eye. A young hopeful who fresh from anywhere, scrambling to make ends meet, picks up items she deems people no linger need. She is taking a class from the husband with the roving eye. A wife with a cop for a husband , walked away once will she do it again, is being blackmailed by the husband with the roving eye. What a recipe for intrigue and eventually murder. As the pieces fall in place each reveal a portion of the story that you will enjoy! Happy reading
I was so excited to see the Gina LaManna wrote another after devouring Pretty Guilty Women. The book did not disappointment- suspense, female friendship, and secrets. Be sure to pick up a copy of this book and try your best to decide who did it. I know I did not guess correctly.
Thank you to Gina LaManna, Sourcebooks Landmark, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Ann, Elizabeth and Penny meet for their book club. Lots of wine later, the discussion turns to philandering husbands and then to murder. As in how to kill your unfaithful man.
By evenings end, someone is dead.
We learn through the different POV's of the women, interspersed with the courtroom trial transcripts, what happened to lead up to the tragedy.
Everyone had secrets and motives, but who finally snapped?
This domestic thriller was riveting and entertaining. At various points I suspected each of the women, and never predicted who the killer was!
I thought the characters were well developed and sympathetic, if not always endearing.
Another excellent book by the author.
Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark for the e-ARC via NetGalley.
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
I read Pretty Guilty Women by Gina LaManna last year and enjoyed that- so when i saw she had a new book coming out- I had to request!
Three Single Wives def has a nighttime soap opera feel to it- which I love- because those shows are my JAM.
What I liked:
The COVER! Love the colors. The look. EVERYTHING.
I think my fave character was Eliza. She is not easy to forget!
Loved how the story was laid out. A good back and forth style keeps me interested and this def worked for this book!
Bottom line: Grab this for your stay at home Labor Day weekend plans and thank me later.

This was a fun, twisty thriller. It begins with three women discussing a book with the author. The conversation eventually leads to talk of murdering your husband! We are told the story alternating among each woman's point of view as well as a trial testimony of the murder of one husband.
All the women are carrying secrets, and you are not sure whodunit until the end. Overall, this is a guilty pleasure type thriller that I highly recommend for fans who enjoy fun drama with their suspense!
It starts as a innocent book club between three women and discussion of a cheating spouse and husbands that are deserving to die. When a murder occurs who is the suspect? This was such a exciting page turner that kept me guessing throughout the entire book. I kept turning pages and read it in one sitting. A very excellent thriller with well crafted charcters and suspense to keep every reader turning pages. I loved it !
This was a book that held my interest, keep me guessing, and had me wanting to read far past my bedtime. Really loved it!
4/5 Stars
The Title/Cover Draw: The cover definitely intrigued me, and I couldn’t figure out if it was the same woman or 3. Plus it’s purple so you know I am there for it.
What I liked: The combination of point of views and court interview transcripts.
What I didn’t like:The ending wasn’t totally shocking and slightly predictable.
What kept me reading: Each chapter gave a little more information on who was murdered and what brought about the death.
The Characters: Anne - Married to a cop and wanting a more free life. Eliza - promotes books and her book club event turns tragic. Penny - Student / nanny who is part of all the drama. The characters were interesting but i felt myself drawn more towards Anne’s struggles.
Consider if you like:Books where the timelines don’t always follow a linear path.

This was a fun read. We know there is a murder of a husband and halfway through, you find out just who but then we go for a ride to see just who the murderer was. I have to say that I was proud of my detective skills because I had a few things figured out fairly early. If you are like me, you don't mind that, it does not take away from the story. The three main characters are very flushed out and you can really feel like you are inside their heads.
Thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Landmark for a copy of this book.
Out last week, Three Single Wives is a thriller that follows the classic whodunnit storyline as it follows three women who are more connected than they could ever know. A tangled web is woven around Eliza and Anne, who are longtime best friends from their university days. Eliza’s husband teaches acting classes and recommends one of his students to babysit for Anne’s family. Her name is Penny and she quickly becomes friends with both women and becomes increasingly attached to Roman. Told through depositions and flashbacks, we follow along as we try to figure out who murdered who and why. Shoutout to @sourcebooks for this ARC on @netgalley.
The part that was lacking the most from this book for me was the character development. I feel as though LaManna was trying to create a creepy stalker vibe with Penny but it just kind of fell flat. I wanted to know more about Penny and her past to really make sense of her storyline. Eliza was also lacking in my opinion as I didn’t have that much sympathy for her because I just couldn’t connect with her. I found it to be a slow burn read and I just needed some more action. If the characters had some more grit to them - I would have enjoyed it more. That being said, I did keep turning the pages because I wanted to figure out who was guilty.
I flew through the pages of this book, and loved the multiple POVs leading up to a murder trial. You’ve got a book club, a dead husband, wine, and tons of secrets. If you love a juicy drama, this thriller is for you.
Many thanks to netgalley and Sourcebooks for the free copy for review. All opinions are my own

Book Review: Three Single Wives by Gina LaManna
Thank you to @bookmarked for the gifted copy of Three Single Wives that just released yesterday on September 1st.
This is my first book by the author and I loved it. Read it cover to cover in one day. I mean, is there anything better than reading an awesome thriller sitting outside in the sunshine by water? I can't think of anything.
In Three Single Wives - we embark on a tale of complicated friendships between four women and the one man, Roman Tate, that seems to be the center of drama for all of them. Eliza (his wife), Anne (Eliza's longtime friend), Penny (his student) and Marguerite (Eliza's client) all give us their perspectives on their relationships with the other women and Roman in this alternating POV story-telling.
Mixed in with the first-hand accounts are the court trial testimonies from a murder case where all of the women appear to be suspects for different reasons.
This one kept me guessing right until the end. The author also wove some deep themes of struggles that women face everyday into this novel including postpartum depression, infidelity, family of origin issues and being manipulated by men. The author handled these delicately showing the struggles that women face everyday - with balancing motherhood/working, marriage relationships and coming into who they were created to be. These topics could be triggers depending on your experience.
Now that I've finished this one, I'm headed to find the author's backlist titles.
What's your favorite seasons to read thrillers in? For me, it's a year round deal and thrillers are a staple of my reading life and have been for decades.
Highly recommend this one.
Three Single Wives is fun, twisty, and suspenseful! I really enjoyed the multiple points of view, and the characters were engaging.
Content Warning SPOILER:
Mention of child rape (not on page, not graphic)
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC. The opinions in this review are honest and my own. #suspense #ThreeSingleWives
This was an entertaining book. I guessed the killer early on but there were enough reasons to suspect others that cast enough doubt so that any one of them could have been guilty. Even though I was pretty sure I had figured it out, the doubt kept me guessing all the way to the end.
The characters were vivid, plot was interesting, and the writing was good. I'm sure this book will be a best seller.
