I love a good mystery and this one kept me guessing until the end. Lots of detail though a little short for my taste.

Here is a cozy mystery that is just perfect for our current season. The story takes place in one of the most storied and wealthy vacation spots, East Hampton, in, yes, THE Hamptons (New York).

This is the third in a series although I think that it can be read as a standalone. This time Antonia is investigating a cold case. She is hired by a rather cold individual as well.

There are many secrets to uncover and Antonia is kept busy with her investigation and her inn. Matters are further complicated when individuals from Antonia’s past start to appear. Readers can sit back and relax as Antonia handles everything.

This book would make an ideal beach read. Get some sand between your toes, glance out at the water and turn the pages…or turn the pages from your couch.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this title. All opinions are my own.

Antonia finds herself with the opportunity to solve a cold case while covering the slow time at her Hampton's inn with a financial boost from an heiress. Pauline has long been suspected of a murder, and the dark cloud continues to follow her. Antonia soon wonders if she is being asked to seriously investigate or being played by Pauline. The book requires an extra bit of imagination but kept me interested until the end.

This is a good series and I always liked the books. This one was no exception.
A cast of likable and relatable characters, a solid mystery that kept me guessing, a lovely setting.
I found it entertaining and engrossing, recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Cozy mystery set in the Hamptons. Antonia Bingham, amateur sleuth and local innkeeper, is asked to look into the murder of a young woman on one of the ritzy estates back in 1990. The lack of resolution to the case has left a cloud of suspicion over Pauline Framingham who would like it to be cleared once and for all. Unfortunately, I never connected with any of the characters, but especially not Antonia. Many of the relationships and situations struck me as implausible. While the storytelling was pleasant, it wasn't compelling.

Death on West End Road is the third book in the Hamptons Murder Mysteries written by Carrie Doyle. Given I grew up on Long Island and the author lives in NYC, and it's a mostly cozy mystery, I had to give the series a chance. I am now 3/4 of the way through it and plan to read the last book (not sure if there will be more) in 2021.

Antonio had a bad break-up in California. She bought an inn on the eastern end of Long Island, where all the rich and famous have second homes. Given her extraordinary cooking skills, she quickly made friends... and some want her to solve a murder. In this book, there's a 20+ year mystery brewing... did Pauline Framingham kill her best friend, Susie? The cops couldn't arrest her, but she looked quite guilty. Too bad there were 6 or 7 other people around that day with hidden motives. Which one really did it (clubbed her with a tennis racquet)? Pauline hires Antonia, who is also busy crushing on a local actor and connecting guests at her inn who know each other but can't find each other.

I enjoy mysteries that delve into the past. The background setting is beautiful and familiar. The writing is good. This has all the classic characters and motives, so it's a joy to read. It's also not light and fluffy; there is substance and charm. Of course, we have all the side stories to make the place feel real, and the supporting cast provides interesting background moments. My only feedback would be to develop them more... it sometimes feels like Antonia is too on her own, even though she has help. Another fun edition in this series, and I recommend them to mid-range mystery lovers who like some like and some complex components.

This is the third book of the Hampton Murder Series but this is the first time I have read from Carrie Doyle. It will not be the last I really enjoyed the setting in the Hamptons. The characters are fun and quirky.
Antonia the MC is hired by the wealthy Pauline Framingham to investigate a cold case. Her friend Susie was murdered on her families tennis court when they were teens.
This mystery is full of twists and turns.

This is the third book in the Hamptons Murder mystery series by Carrie Doyle.

This book is a bit convoluted if I am honest. Pauline asks Antonia to look into the murder of one of her friends. Come to find out she has done something similar over the years asking various people to look into this particular cold case. Antonia, however, is a much better sleuth than any who came before her.

I didn’t quite understand the concept of this story especially when I got to the end and discovered the identity of the killer. Paulina didn’t really need anyone to find the killer for her since she knew who it was all along. Maybe she just needed someone else to bring this person to justice. Not sure.

Not my favorite cozy story but I did like the setting and the main character of Antonia a lot. I will look into other books featuring this character and see if I like those better.

If you like cozy mysteries, definitely check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.

Thank You Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book! This review is based on my honest opinion.

This is the third book of the Hampton Murder Series but this is the first time I have read from Carrie Doyle and the first time I am reading the book. The book is based on Antonia, who owns an inn and who part time acts sort of a Nancy Drew solving murder mysteries. First of all, I really like the cover design of this book so five stars for the

In this book, Pauline Framingham, who is actually a wealthy but manipulative woman hires Antonia initially to solve the murder case of her friend Susie, who was murdered in the Franmingham's tennis court back in 1990. The main suspect at that time was Pauline but due to her father's wealth and reputation status, she was able to get away from the case. Antonia, along with Larry tries to find the killer behind Susie's murder and at the same time, Antonia running and dealing with the drama in the inn. To be honest, I really enjoyed reading the book. It was cozy and the author did a good job engaging the reader into the story. It was also funny in some parts and nearly everyone in the book was a suspect that you don't really know who is the actually killer! Overall this is actually an enjoyable and fun mystery thriller to read and you will soon hooked into the story. Four stars!

This is the third in the "Hampton Murder Mystery" series. I have enjoyed the first two books in this charming series. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinion is my own.

Our protagonist Hamptons innkeeper and sleuth Antonia Bingham is busy working at her inn in the height of tourist season . Antonio is a armature sleuth who has helped solve two prior crimes. She cannot resist investigating crimes . When the suspect in a cold case murder ask for her help in clearing her name from a 1990's murder Antonia is happy to help but soon finds herself in peril.

This was a enjoyable next in series with a interesting case for our protagonist to solve. I enjoy the series and the charcters. The setting of the Hamptons is charming and picturesque.

Death on West End Road by Carrie Doyle is the 3rd book in the Hamptons Murder Mystery series, and my first book by this author. I enjoyed this mystery, but wish I would have read this series in order, so I will be reading the first and second book soon. This book has so many twists and turns, I was hooked from the beginning. This book has an interesting plot line, the solving of a thirty year old murder. I would highly recommend this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Death on West End Road by Carrie Doyle is the third book in Hamptons Murder Mysteries but can be read as a standalone.

This is the first book in a series that I have read, even so I had no trouble connecting the dots or following the story. All references to the past occurrences are clearly explained and made me want to go back to the first book and read in order. Which I will definitely do.

Antonia Bingham is a innkeeper who likes to solve mysteries. But the third book she has already established herself as someone who can help others find out the truth. So it comes as no surprise when a rich socialite Pauline Framingham requests her help in solving her friends murder that happened many years ago.
What does come as a surprise is the fact that everyone advises Antonia not to take the case, as Pauline is not what she seems.

I especially liked the main protagonist. She is a smart, level-headed woman with an inquisitive mind. She doesn't put herself in dangerous situations nor does she wait for clues to fall in her lap. She has a successful career, many friends and not so great love life.
I also enjoyed reading about her friends, how supportive of her every endeavor they all were and how they even brought their strengths and skills to helping Antonia.

Setting is so magnificent, reading about Hamptons and its beauties really does add to the story.
Mystery was well developed with several red herrings to keep things interesting.

All in all a great cozy for real mystery lovers.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was beautifully written. The author made me keep going.. I couldn’t stop reading it. I couldn’t put it down. It’s a mixture of a lot of murder mystery and a dash of humor and romance. I have yet to read her previous books in this series but the reader doesn’t have to really read the previous ones to understand this book.

The book is about Antonia, an innkeeper, chef, and amateur sleuth in East Hamptons. She’s hired by Pauline Framingham, a wealthy heiress who controls the entire town, to investigate and solve a cold case from the 1990s when one of her best friends Susie was violently murdered. As a naturally nosy person, a history of success in solving crimes, and a monetary deal (Pauline would book all the rooms at her inn on her slowest month), she just couldn’t resist the deal. As Antonia investigates, she finds out that more and more people could be the suspect, finding the case difficult to solve when she’s caught in a web of lies. Who killed Susie? What was the motive of the crime? Who is telling the truth? Is Pauline really just a powerful bored wealthy woman who likes to manipulate people, hence, playing Antonia?

There were a lot of characters in this story but for one second, I was never lost. Each character is interesting and the story flowed smoothly. I never guessed who the real killer was until the author actually revealed it. There was a sprinkle of romance in this book as well and even that part was beautifully written. I really enjoyed this book and I would definitely read Carrie Doyle’s previous ones. I’m looking forward to her new book coming out in March.

Antonia is asked by a woman she considered a murderer to solve a murder that this woman is believed to have committed in the 90s. Even though this is the busy season for the inn, Antonia agrees to help. About midway through the book, we're given a motivation to what's going on, but very cleverly snuck into a conversation. Antonia has a major revelation in her personal life as well as helping a man find the woman he fell in love with. Since the four books in this series are a reissue, I hope Poisoned Pen plans for more books in the series. I am enjoying this series.

Death Comes Again to the Hamptons, and reluctantly Antonia Bingham is back on the case. After her last investigation which left her injured, she's not exactly happy about taking on a murder from a person she previously suspected was a murderer herself. Antonia is such an interesting character with a very busy life and a very strong personality which tends to rub some the wrong way.

This book was really fun and I loved getting to know the characters in this otherwise very well known town. There were a few times that I was asking out loud "why the heck is she doing this!?" but otherwise I thought it was a really great book with believable characters and a super quick read!

4/5 Stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for providing me with an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It's Summer in the Hamptons and Antonia Bingham is busy running the Windmill Inn and Restaurant during the height of the season as tourists stream in for Summer vacation. If running the Inn wasn't enough to keep Antonia busy, Pauline Framingham, a wealthy local resident, asks her help in solving a cold case from years ago.

Having suspected Pauline in a previous murder investigation, which left Antonia injured, she is hesitant to take on another investigation. As busy as she is, Antonia agrees to look into the murder of Susie Whitaker after feeling that the young girl deserves to know what happened to her...even though Pauline herself was the main suspect in the murder of her BFF all those years ago.

While Antonia lived on the opposite coast when the murder took place all those years ago, she is now a local and has friends who help her delve into solving the mystery of what happened and who killed poor Susie all those years ago.

Love is also in the Hampton air as Antonia helps a guest find the woman he met the year before and his heart has been pining for over the past year. Even Antonia's love life is looking up...can't wait to see where this leads in future installments!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and the third installment is just as amazing as the first two I have read. The main character is real and relatable. The other characters add to the charm of the series and make you want to book a room at the Windmill Inn this Summer! This is a definite must read for Cozy lovers this Summer!

An Unsolved Crime....
The third in the Hamptons Murder Mysteries and sometime sleuth, Antonia Bingham, is back with a commission- an unsolved murder. Enjoyable mystery with a likeable protagonist and a colourful cast of supporting characters. This can happily be read as a standalone although more enjoyment to be had in reading from the start of the series. An entertaining read.

East Hampton innkeeper Antonia's life is a mess. Between her ex-husband, the married movie star she has a crush on, and her whiny staff her life is full. So what does she do? She agrees to look into a 20 year old murder mystery at the request of a local heiress, who is manipulative and who may be the killer. Not a lot of murder solving skills, she just keeps talking to people, which is foolish since you do not know who is the killer, but she plods along, ruffling feathers and opening old wounds without making much progress until she gets a flash of insight and rushes into the home where the killer is waiting. Her and the reporter sidekick, finally solve the case, but a lot of the side issues kept distracting me and at times made me want to skim. This is the third book in the Hamptons Murder Mystery series, but would recommend reading the others first. A few references that didn't mean much, and at times I was lost. Overall though, a good cozy mystery and one I would recommend.
